  1. Not good news but we will just have to get on with it with the remaining players we have and hopefully avoid the playoffs

  2. We did finish 5th but it took to the second last game of the season to secure safety and it had been a very nervy run of games up to then.

  3. For quite a while I predicted 6th. Right now I'd bite your hand off for 8th.

  4. With Bavidge: 2.2 points per game Without Bavidge: 1.2 points per game, similar to Annan’s 1.1 season to date average.

  5. Nope, I'll settle for charging!

  6. Maybe a change of tactics is needed. For some time now since Administration began the philosophy was we must now start winning games. Admittedly the squad numbers have been depleted recently by injuries and a key player suspension but the need now is not to lose games. In days gone by eking out an extra point or two could have saved us - relegation both from the SPFL and Championship!! Starting this Saturday it needs a more cautious approach with regard to defence not that this means 11 behind the ball. However, charging off at speed in the first 25 minutes will not succeed. We played really well against Cove in the Scottish Cup so need to try and repeat the desire to stop losing.

  7. The only (and I stress ONLY) good thing about Big Dunc’s awful approach is that we didn’t get heavily beaten, it was just a series of one goal defeats! In the last three months we’ve lost 4-1, 3-0 and 4-1 again. Thankfully we’ve had some good wins too, which would never have happened under him.

  9. Not so, Cherly. But I do recognise that Alan Savage has been the only credible game in town and has also tabled a bid for the club. Call it “bird in the hand worth two in the bush” if you like, but this club has been hovering on the threshold of oblivion for months so if a bid comes in, with the only apparent caveat the need for 100% share ownership, you have to welcome that as, at worst, a backstop that can guarantee survival.

  10. It’s now been confirmed that Bavidge will miss the remaining games of the season. Obviously a big blow but now for everyone else to step up take our chances and become hard to beat.
