  1. I’ve popped in another one for you cheers
  2. BBC can show up to 12 live league 1 games a season. ICT were the only team in league 1 last season NOT to be featured in a live game Home or Away. First up this season is an absolute cracker to draw in the viewers on a Saturday night. Game 1. Hamilton v cove rangers 17.30. 30/8/25 Personally I would want an away game to feature us, but others, long distance fans, I imagine would want home or away. Seemingly we are favourites to win the league this year. Last years favourites Arbroath featured 5 times.
  3. It was obvious last year that league position correlated with appearances on telly so Alba were picking their games more or less week to week, and we were at the bottom with Dumbarton and Annan. This was in contrast to the Championship where each club got 2 home games on the BBC Scotland channel.
  4. It won't be far off free. I recall sitting in a club meeting at Hampden discussing a proposed deal with BBC Alba, and making the point that clubs would lose more money from the deal than they would be paying for the rights to show games. For the Astra euros game, the club had the rights to sell coverage...BBC initially offered us £600 for radio rights...and wanted exclusive coverage 😂 There's next to nothing in TV deals for clubs. However, the SPFL can, and do, remove income from clubs to the central pot and then claim they are growing income fir the league....utter BS. The centralised YouTube thing they did a few years back is another example. ALL clubs had to send highlights to the SPFL fir the centralised channel. This meant they weren't getting income from own channels and it resulted in NO increased revenue from the league pot. The sad thing is, that most clubs were/are blind to the fact that agreeing to it is/was cutting their own throats.
  5. I think I've posted this elsewhere fairly recently, but I can understand (even if I disagree with) the decision not to send a production crew up here as it's expensive to do....and the previous club operators also removed nearly all of the infrastructure (camera towers etc), which also adds to the cost. Home games on TV can significantly impact club income, so it's no financial loss. Also, the last I was aware, there's no additional income for appearing on TV as used to be the case.
  6. Time is the factor that determines whether it becomes a fact or not! Until then it remains an opinion. bc
  7. I see that Edinburgh City have been deducted fifteen points after a liquidator was appointed following unpaid debts. EC have appealed the decision - the SPFL see this as an 'insolvency event', the same as our administrator. I'm sure someone who knows can advise but I think the main difference is that administration is seen as a way to save companies whereas liquidation is a creditor looking to recovery any potential money. Seems like the liquidator has been appointed by petition meaning that a creditor for EC has got fed up and asked the court to help them get their money. Sad times with both of last seasons administration bound clubs (us and Dumbarton) managing to get out of their situations by the start of this season.
