  1. barry ferguson is not as talented as he thinks he is and there are better scottish players in the english leagues, Dorrans for example, He began to pick and choose his games and he should have been dropped then. Paul Mcstay was an excellent player and does not deserve to be mentioned in the same context as barry ferguson.

  2. McStay is Scotland's 4th most capped player, Ferguson is not even in the hall of fame, says a lot IMO. Ferguson should never have even been asked back. To act like that while CAPTAIN of your country shows what a wee ned he is, we don't need him, he'd be a bigger disruption that anything else. I think Levein was only asking so as the media would get off his case, giving BF the opportunity to say no and finally put the whole sorry tale to bed. The guy's a fudd of the highest order. End of.

  5. You really have a nice outlook on life don't you? The guy was a star in his younger days. It is such a waste that he has ended up this way. Let's hope your loved ones don't end up like him. They might be locked in the garage to avoid any embarrassment to you.

  6. If Mahonio can't make the game, he can't make the game. I'm not sure he needs to explain himself on an internet forum to folk he doesn't know.

  7. Not for me and I'm glad that he has finally come out and stated that he won't play for Scotland again. A guy that has to think about playing for his country shouldn't even be welcomed back in my opinion. He should have been big enough to accept that he made a mistake and working in the business he does it would be the centre of attention for the whole of the press fraternity for months to come, by not giving a proper answer he just kept it dragging out. I also believe that the persistence in asking him if he would play for Scotland again would have made his already over inflated ego even bigger. Furthermore had he come back it was almost backing Levein into a corner in the fact that he would have to play him, why persue him for that long to potentially not play him. For at least his last two years at Rangers he was very poor and continually made back and sidewards passes with no forward invention and his most notable trait was to stick his chest out and blame and berate anybody else who made a mistake especially the younger players. I for one do not want a player like that in my team, encouragement is what is needed not what Barry Ferguson does. Yes down in England with Birmingham he is playing well but he has better players round him and the spotlight isn't on him. If he had of decided to come back all everyone would have heard was what Barry Ferguson would do for Scotland and over shadow Scotland as a whole. I for one am very glad he has decided that he won't be back and hopefully now we can all move on for the good of the Scotland team and hope that the press now drop it.

  8. Sorry guys but this is exactly why rumours should not be posted. Everyone gets into a slagging match - already we have someone saying let him go if he doesnt want to be here ! Did Adam actually say he doesnt ? I dont think so ! He is a professional footballer who came from Stoke City ( suppose to be on a loan deal first but neither Stock or Caley could agree with that. He signed on a 3 year deal ( dropping down in wages may I add ) to come to Inverness. He has Im told bought a house and settled in Inverness for the past 2 years so I cant see where Adam has not shown commitment to Inverness or football. Footballers are like any other person in a career - you have to look at the bigger picture - where to do want to go in your career ? how much will you be paid ? the only real difference is there's is a very short career and the lucky one's make big money. Adam is still a contract with Inverness and if he and the club can agree on terms that suit both Im sure he will. So lets get behind all the players and club and give them our support - roll on Saturday.

  9. He's been waxing lyrical on P&B too, which probably won't help.... Posted Today, 14:10 I always look forward to going to Paisley as it is very like the Highlands of olde. Inverness has become too cosmopolitan and city dwellers are turning the place in to a venerable "oasis" of culture, attracting top businesses, tourism booms and a feeling of wealth and inevitable opulence. It will not be long before the place becomes the Abu Dhabi of Scotland. I will be travelling in the horse and cart with three of ma muckers. The trap has been banned from Inverness abut nobody bats an eyelid in Paisley. I can park it up in any street and let the neddies **** all over the place - it is pleasingly acceptive to the local folk. And the abundance of troughs on street corners is applauded as well. The other plus is that we will be able to get the old shell suits out of the cupboard. The dress code in the city has also debarred us from the comfort of the apparel but in Paisley, it is a bit like Eastern europe of olde as everybody is in shell suits and ya just blend in. Inverness has become too strict on substance misuse but Methadone and other street drugs are freely available and I am impressed that outlets such as Burger vans and Ice Cream vendors all appear to have a veritable menu available. It is also great to see Syringes back on the shelves of the local shops. I expect Inverness to have at least double figures at the game and that should be enough to promote a heady atmosphere in the hollow Lego environment and the home support will be heavily influenced by the Sponsored silence day promoted by the local Gay and Lesbian Society. And as a Seer I have a recurring dream where the glorious vision of Ross "Cafu" Tokely punching the polluted air as he cracks in a wonder winner in the SPL against his biggest detractors. So please back off the criticisms of Paisley. It is a wonderful reminder of how Inverness used to be.

  12. I heard many years ago that he goes to Celtic park every year and buys his father in law a season ticket. His problem seems to be that he takes everything for granted. Playing for Scotland should be a big deal for any player. I also think there were many years when he got in to the squad simply because he turned out for the Huns. A friend of mine made an interesting comment - he said he thinks Levein is picking so many hun players (past and present) to appease the media and keep them off his back. Kinda fits in with the idea of approaching Barry Ferguson.

  13. Dont want OR need Ferguson back...hes the most overated Scottish Player since Paul Mcstay! Both incidently, chose to be crablike in their approaach to the game!

  16. Coming from Thurso must also make life difficult for Mahonio. Many years ago I had my very first ever sexual experience in Thurso - an unforgettable moment. Okay, I was on my own at the time but it was still a very special occasion.

    • Kelty Hearts Training Statement
What a farce we have become, a laughing stock: Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup.

    • Relegation Statement
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.
