  1. Christ now you're in the wrong if you're not wearing a poppy. This faux-outrage Poppy police types that have sprung up in recent years do my head in.

  2. POPPIES ARE MERE DECORATIONS - REMEMBRANCE IS THE KEY

  3. I fail to see how this is the 'right thing' TBH. The attempts by some people to try and get one up over another is pathetic. At the end of the day next weekend is Remembrance Sunday where people can, and ideally should, pay their respects. The weeks leading up to this day are becoming tedious and, ultimately, leading to some people to completely forget about the whole point of the day which is not petty point scoring.

  4. Armistice Day is the 11th of November. Wearing the poppy has become something of a competitive sport whereby sporting your poppy earlier than anybody else is trying to project a message that you care more than anyone else. I'm sure some of these folk dig their early poppies out of a drawer from the previous year which not only gives the "look how much I care " look but also saves them having to donate to get a new one. Personally, I'd prefer to see them worn during the limited period between Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday. Back on topic though, whilst we retain our top 6 slot despite defeat to Celtic, we are 5 points behind 5th but only 3 points off the bottom. Our reduced bench yesterday is a reminder that it will be a very challenging season if we keep picking up these injuries and we simply can't afford to have players unavailable through suspension. Hopefully the international break (hopefully with poppies) will see a reasonably full squad to choose from.

  7. He's a young lad with plenty to learn. I believe a lot of his friends and family are Celtic fans.

  8. Why don't you find out the facts before you post accusations on a website. The best people to answer your question would be the Football Club, not a fans forum.

  9. Don't know if a lot of people noticed Mulraneys behaviour at end of today's game. Fisher and Meekings came over to acknowledge us then Mulraney runs up the park, jumps over some hoardings, shakes hands with a couple of Celtic fans then runs past us again without acknowledging us at all. I find this unacceptable - he is a Caley Thistle player and I don't care who the supporters were that he shook hands with he blatantly ignored the fans of the club that pays his wages. Total lack of class on his part and those of us who witnessed this were gobsmacked.

  10. Could someone please explain why the team never wore a poppy on there shirts for the Celtic game? an absolute disgrace &once again the club showing how out of touch it is with its fanbase i expect it from the Rats we were playing but expected more from ICT.

  11. Is certainly not an accusation it is a fact the team never wore a poppy which is disgrace and considering certain individuals seem to have a hotline direct to the club i thought it could be a point of discussion on a fans forum.

    • Kelty Hearts Training Statement
What a farce we have become, a laughing stock: Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup.

    • Relegation Statement
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.
