  1. Well there is a lot of moaning on here again, for goodness sake after a five nil win and the boys playing out of their skins??????? Pre match Doran said he and the team wanted to entertain us, well if that was a promise he certainly kept it. The match was entertaining. Imo the most entertaining I have watched since the John Hughes era and I, like many around me, thoroughly enjoyed it. Okay first half was playing it cagey, more like sounding out Morton, looking to find their weaknesses but from time to time there were flashes of what was to come, especially from Doran who has had very unfair mention on 'here. Second half I don't have to say much because anything said on here that is positive is true reflection of what went on. Some on here said Morton didn't turn up! well that was because ICT never let them. Full marks to all our players this was truly a Team effort which I really hope is what we will be seeing a lot more of in the remainder of the season. FIVE nil????….. and great to watch. Well done and thank you ICT.....

  2. I'd suggest those who witnessed these issues to email the chairman on graham.rae@ictfc.co.uk (I would say the SLO but I haven't see or heard anything about that position this season so I dunno if it even still exists) I'd be interested to hear the response.

  3. I don't think there is moaning, just people having different views on things. Surely that is what a forum is about. If everyone agreed on everything it would be boring.

  4. ? To be wrong once in 43 years...…………...not bad eh!!!!!!

  5. Not sure I can add much to what's already been said, but Shaun Rooney had a particularly excellent game. Also noteworthy, was that to me the referee seemed to have a really good game- especially compared to what I've witnessed at the Caledonian Stadium. The only real moment which I thought he got wrong was the booking of Shaun Rooney. Overall, what an excellent result. Did not see that coming at all. Hopefully the team can take much confidence from it going forwards. Yes, though Morton were poor at times, you do not win that decisively by chance.

  6. Not sure there's moaning going on. Certainly a difference of opinions. Like many, I thought the first half was a difficult watch. Some saw it differently, sizing up or probing. Not for me however if we all agree then there will be no debate. Debate away, let the haters hate, they will do that anyway..... Overall, an enjoyable 48 minutes, the rest of the game not so. To be honest, one swallow and all that. With Robbo contemplating changing the players for Challenge cup game I doubt we will see a repeat score, but i could be wrong. I was wrong once before in 1976, but hey ho. (They found out later I was right but I don't hold a grudge....)

  7. Two of the most ridiculous posts I have read on here in a long time.

  8. Some fans have to moan at someone now that Polworth has settled in fine at Motherwell

  9. Oh the joy of being in the North Stand and far far from away fans objectionable behaviour. After trying various areas, for view, for out of cold wind/rain/sun/whatever, I chose a great seat for my season ticket, so many years ago. Great craic, lots laughs every game, and I have made great friends who return to the same seats season after season. Such blessings not to be in earshot of away “fans”. I find the view from Main Stand strange (if in hospitality) and atmosphere so different. The North Stand is great for goals at “our” end and I can use my binoculars for those at the other! The North Stand is top class for umpteen reasons.

  10. Doubt we will make many changes. Would be good to see Welsh start, in place of Carson or Vincent, whilst Todorov is worth a start, given his goals from the bench. Possibly him and Storey starting ahead of White and either Keatings or Doran? I’d also like to see MacGregor start but suspect he will come off the bench again.

  11. Interesting that Away fans are paying less than ICT fans for the same stand!

  12. What impressed me was the spirit. The players appear to have seriously bonded and their delight was plain to see. This was surely a building block. The players will want some more of that

  13. Deliberate mistake. ? Anyone can have a bad game. Basing your opinion on one game is harsh.

  14. Is it getting cold on here or are there too many snowflakes all of a sudden?? Why construe some balancing comment as picking on a player ? Sure Mccart is good but he's still young and there is plenty room for improvement. As for Coll ,he has been outstanding in his time with us but hasn't had the best of starts this year - even the blind can see that...if anything Chris has had to be more alert as a consequence. It's only four games in and there seems to be the usual wave of euphoria after our first good game/result...stand back and wait for the bigger picture to appear, like after the first round of games. Who's Polly? Seems like there's an open wound there that just ain't healing. SteveA - care to explain why my posts were 'the most' ridiculous, or can you not put reasonable meaning to your point?

  15. I know. It is just frustrating that some are so negative in the wake of our biggest win in a long time!!

  16. Ah yeah. Your missing the point. We have to select one of our better players who is playing well and randomly criticise them. It’s McCart this week and next week it will be Rigders for saving penalties but not holding the ball ?

  17. Have you seen him play recently? He’s become our best defender.

  18. This is the plan for podcast 4. We're going to invite them on, cross-breed them in the lab adjoining the studio and create the ultimate ICT supporter, a statistician in a vest known only as Grimpson.

  19. I think some who have commented on the tv coverage are being overly negative about the first half. Morton came into this on a good run, above us in the table, and were pacy at times. I felt it was pretty even, but we started to be on top as half time approached, got a deserved lead and kicked on. I see virtually all home games and the occasional away one: that was our best display for some time, certainly at home where we have under achieved in recent times Well done to the team and management: more of the same, please.

  21. First half wasn't much to write about, little quality for the first 10 / 15 minutes, lots of poor passing meant the possession kept changing through mistakes. Started to look more dominant as the half wore on, but until Keating strike we didn't look clinical. Second half was better, although once we got the second it looked like Morton's defence could be beaten easily - and so it was. Plenty good performances but remember after winning 5 nil our goal difference is only +3 , so there is a bit to do yet...only 4 games in after all. Lots of mentions of Mccart improving and being a good passer - glad he's passing is better now because it was awful in his loan spell. Id rather he concentrated on his defending to be honest, still think hes a bit powder puff in some challenges, particularly in the air. 5 nil next week...not a chance. They will be tighter at the back and might make Ridgers work harder...maybe ?

  22. Aye, Coll is making him our best defender with his performances. Like I said I think if he can focus on his defending, particularly in the air where he doesn't dominate like he should for his size. I don't think he's the type of centre back that forwards fear playing against...yet.

    • Inverness CT -V- Morton - Preview
Well, where do you start. It was clear from the begining of the season that something was wrong. Poor signings, dismal performances in the League Cup followed by an abysmal start to the League campaign saw Billy Dodds removed from his position after winning one point in the first six Championship fixtures and replaced by a man with no track record as a manager. A sort of publicity stunt if you like. After the initial new manager bounce wore off, we found ourselves little better off with Big Dunc than we were with wee Billy. We did claw ourselves up to the coat tails of others but the most damning part of our season has been our inability to score goals, especially at home. Only already relegated Arbroath are worse than us. Our team is now full of mercenaries, loan players with no affiliation to our Highland pedigree and many fans have tagged us as being the worst squad ever in our short history. Where are the Golabeck's, Tokeley's, Wilson's..... Much of this can be attributed to our lack of financial nous in the boardroom, failed ventures and now the begging bowls are being put in place to save our club. Having drawn at Dunfermline last week thanks to Aribim Pepple's first goal for the club combined with Billy Mckay's penalty miss, it's now out of our own hands. LAST SIX: D L  W W L  D

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.

    • Dunfermline Ath -V- Inverness CT - Preview
Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!
