  1. I believe that this is not the first time that this has happened. The bus was invaded by up to 30 motherwell fans. The came up to the top floor rocked the bus, bounced, swore, picked fights with each other and banged four shades of sh1te out of the pour vehicle. Enter plod who saidd [li]Hide you colours Go down stairs Stop rocking the bus And left...[/li] [li][/li] Who is the bus for? Us or every one Who cares for segragation? What is thepoint of sperating teh fans, then putting tem in a restricted space! How many does a bus hold? There were too many on it. What about health and satey now? Why dont the bobby's stand up to cenral belters? This is not the first time, that this has happened. It must be sorted out, before someone gets injured, or serioulsy hacked off. Gord
  2. Lets look at the facts) A - worst refereed game EVER in the history of TCS. 2) Bayne - OK for speculative long balls against HUns - at home Marius should be no 1 choice. c) Tokely was stupid. Proctor will take his place and will be hard to dislodge. iv) Barry Wilson should no longer be so high up the pecking order. E) Brewster should spend less time in the gym and more listening to the fans in the Heathmount or somewhere... Bad bad day at the office.
  3. Of the ICT Parkhead Heroes side four are still wih the club. However, only one has not been away.
  4. We have 3 strikers in the BBC top scorers table, same as the Huns, but more than everyone else, including the Tic. Some good stats, for a change. Top of the Poppers, now then, now then...
  5. And that is why he will never be more than a peripheral Scotland player.
  6. Yes, Gretna are not very good, but it was a good win. So WHY break up a winning team! (Other than the fact that we have no goalkeeper of any standing). Barry Wilson is still capable of turning a game, but must be used as a supersub, last 30mins or so. Rankin, must also be getting hungry for a start. My team for Saturday? Proctor at RB and Tokely in goals
  7. I agree that there are crucial dissimilarities between the rises of Gretna and Livingstone, and here is another. They are away from the Central Belt, and have no "wee" team stigma about them. Like ICT they are from an area historically discriminated against in terms of top-rank footie, (unless you count QOS), so interms of geographical distribution having them in the SPL is good for the game. No doubt they are first choice for many of their fanbase, and will continue to be, long after they have left the SPL and started sliding down. But what memories... In years to come young Stattos will look at their football history and go "Gretna!? Gretna were in the SPL?!" An unsustainable miracle...
  8. Staying up..? The aim each season should be at least a top six spot... :022: I am glad that Mr. Brewster is upbeat and forward looking. This season's side has nowhere near reached its full potential yet. CBs managership is on the up, he is much better than last time. There are many shocks ahead for the folks that underrated us on our slow start. This will be our first top-6 season.
  9. I tuned in late and heard "bad start - the first thing the goalie had to do was pick the ball out of his net", I thought, Not again! But no...good start!
  10. As above. Malkowski must never again be allowed to play in ICT goals. $th choice at best. Fraser may have had the required boot up the arse, though not a very hard one. Top of the shopping list for January. We were well worth at least the draw save for the lack of penetration in attack. I am no fan, but Bayne should have been on with Wilson a lot sooner. These 5 min substitutions are pointless - do you heard me Craig? -pointless! Even the change would have been enough to shock. I am glad to see Hastings back, as he has in the past produced at this level and seemed to improve as the game wore on. And yes, if Rosco wants to go forwards then someone(s) should learn to cover for him. This happened sometimes but not always. Proctor was good when he came on and I would gve him a run for McGuire. Marius and Denzil did the business, but I cant help thinking that they are too similar types of players. I certainly saw a handball in the first half, but it was at the edge of the box and may have been a "ball played him" type one which the ref let off. However, in the second the defender definitely used his elbow to control, inside the box. We jumped, we shouted, we sat back down again. Calderwood is an old (red) fox and knew what it took to win this game. We will beat the Dons this season, and I wll be at Pittodrie to see the first of them.
  11. "the schadenfreude is particularly vitriolic" And none more vitriolic that Heelan schadenfraude, as we know, vide "the curse" especially with our ex-managers. I have no wish to add fuel to the fire, but RH has I believe an excessive fondness for the drink and maybe the fags too. There is much to be gained from this whole experience, if it can be turned out to both the clubs and RH's advantage. "The wilderness" is not the answer.
  12. Fair do's. I think the club should stand by him, but I think that they shoud be seen to offer him support too. There is mileage to be made of his going in to a support group or whatever. This will pay dividends for Ritchie, and the club in the eyes of the rest of Scotland. Other drug users, whose habit is a bit further on than RHs will be made aware of the existance of these services and may seek help. Other clubs in Scotland may seek a similar route for their straying players and supporters. Drugs are a big problem in Scotland, behind a lot of crime, and the club should be doing all it can to strip them of any glamour. I am a big fan of RH and hope that he will continue at the club, but he is also a role model, and the club should be seen to address this.
  13. Sorry mate, that's a duh moment! As above, brings a bit of colour - red - to the game, and can frequently be downright humourous.
  14. Without doubt, 2 and 3 are the most nourishing combination, but if we are still hungry lets line up 1 3 and 4, in that order, if there is time before pudding.
  15. Thanks for that, AM. Enjoyed your letter in the "Celtic punished" thread too. I have a feeling, like several others, that Barry should no longer be a first choice, and feel that Rankin still has a lot to offer. Very worried by Fraser's recent form, but can also confirm for those that didn't see Zibi Stardust at the Gretna game, that he is certainly not the answer. Start shopping now for the January sales, you backroom team.
  16. Reminded me of this [img width=500 height=262] Arfity arf.
  17. Am I the only one willing to stand up for Dida. We have to differentiate between being walloped by a player and being assaulted by a fan. The fan should not have been on the pitch, so being assaulted in that way, just should not have happened. Unlike a player, where it is expected that that kind of thing is run of the mill. What was he trying to do - get the assailant sent off? I think it matters very little the response - faked or not. The **** got on the park, and rather than a ***** slap it could have been a chib. Also Dida has a history according to the guy on the radio the other day. He was hit in the face by a flare in a recent derby and has been traumatised ever since. It may have been a bit of a panic reaction - a poor attempt at faking. It's a job for Johnndo, I fear. In conclusion... ****...life ban, criminal action, alienation from his peers, etc Celtic...big fine, which they should pass onto their stewarting company. No more than that. Dida - wholescale mockery in the eyeties medias, but no more. Also Kudos to Milan chair for not making a meal of it.
  18. "We thank **** for his services, but there was a difference in styles between the club and him that was not to the good of Ross County long-term." Quite quite mad! If I was a County, fan, my short term ambition would be to get back to the First Div, then worry about youth development and so on. I am going looking for odds that they will not be going up now. Reminds me of Hearts and Burley a few seasons back.
  19. hahaha, good one. I hope the git gets some "self policing" administered to him though. But when you see self-destructive stupidity like that, you have to wonder if he is a plant. But hey, at least he wasn't standing up and singing, then he would really be in trouble.
  20. Hehehe That'll be Iain Clark, Dalneigh boy. Is that Gordy Bennett, Billy MacIntosh and "Ice Cool" Alan Presslie, in the front row. And two Davidsons.
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/sportscotlan...ness_ct-falkirk Cut n paste that for the sportscene highlights. Some great goals there, including one of the Falkirk ones. Dennis; second is knockout. Great control, ghosting in between two defenders leaving one of them looking the wrong way, before getting line and length just right. More of the same, starman!
  22. Not really. With Brew/Bayne up front we just humped it up to them for most of the first half. When Wyness replaced Brew we started to play some really good stuff. Much as I like Bayne, and appreciate his 100% effort every game.......he just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. I'd have far rather seen Dennis/Deano or Deano/Marius given a go last night. I thought it strange that Brew played himself when he'd made a fair few changes from Saturdays team. Good comments. Yes, it was the long ball game in the first half and until Brew came off. Not fab stuff. I thought we had passed that. Really, though, we would have won whatever we did. I just hope we dont draw Hamilton!
  23. Most reassuring. I would say we have little to fear from relegation when Gretna Green are about. And that with a team of fringe players. Great to get a win again - a run of two! Tonight was a good team game, perhaps the Brew wanted to rest a few players for Saturday. There will be changes again, then. Morgan was very good. Cowie didnt perform as well as on Saturday. Dennis did well and got on the score sheet and nice to see Bayne back too. Deano is very exciting to watch, but his size will always mitigate against him being a first choice. Rankine was good when he came on. Cant say that I was that impressed with the Malkowski, he seemed to fumble on several occasions. The defence held together well, but didnt seem to be that tested. Gretna let us get closer to goal that any other team seen in recent years and, as they said above, it was 3 going on 7. Great to know we are in the hat - I pray that the god of lotteries is kind to us.
