So Scotty, what's the temperature in Toronto. You have had -46 in parts of the East recently have you not? It's minus 1 here in Vancouver but the fog is so thick I can hardly see the guy next door's car as he drives away to work.
-
And this is a big match for ICT after the break. Must keep the momentum going. Are Aberdeen Aberdire by any chance Smile?
-
Close to the shortest thread on a home match I have seen on here for a long time. 'Sup?

If a player decides to leave to further his career why is that a stab in the back for the team he currently plays for? This has been going on (transfers) for years and years and it will never change. It's a job for goodness sake. Live with it and move right along. Wish the guy well and say TTFN. (Ta Ta For Now)

Goo dosh for the Dons.
-
Well, if he ever comes to the Caley Park I am sure we can raise a wee Dioch and Doris to his success.

I've given your post a "like" Luke, because I.m all heart but Birmingham is still spelt with a capital B. Hoch! Hoch!

Thank god that Chris Hogg is back!
Scarlet Pimple replied to TheHighlandsAreOurs's topic in Caley Thistle
Well, being down the pecking order may be he best thing for him because he may not be out of the woods yet. Physivcally and psychologically recovering from an injury such as his takes a lot of time and a lot of courage and hard work. And it's just at the point where you think that all is now better that the breakdown occurs again, dashing your hopes and filling you with desperate despair and frustration. In his csae, however, having hadd the best surgeon and a full operation he may just be round th corner from a good recovery Wish you well Chris. -
Question? Is it if and not "when is" regarding Chris Hogg's return?

Brora Rangers FC home for the elderly ex-ICT
Scarlet Pimple replied to PullMyFinger's topic in General Football
That's quite a team of fit young fellas and there is a lot of experience there for a lowly Highland outfit. The impression left with me is that the team owners or sponsors have ambitions of a higher nature. Probably triggerd by ICT's entry into the SPL and then followed by Ross County' success. In short Highland Footie may be on the brink of an explosion. ''Kaboom" -- here we come. Imagine Celtic having to travel up to Brora--Do you think taht their management will have heardf the name? -
As the man said after he came home from visiting the Doctor and trying out his senna pod:- "Thank goodness there is some movement.... I must say that feels like a great improvement..."

At least he did it out in the open and not behind the back as far as can be judged on everything that has been said to date. Unless you were born in the area of your club I question whether any club member , player or Manager, can actually feel that magnetic pull from within the heart and soul and that deep sense of loyalty that takes years of garnering. So long as he has done his best for the club and his family to date for the compensation he has been paid then do we have the right to judge him ? It's like losing a very close relative--it's only after this person has gone that you reallise how much you miss him or her. Therefore the question of loyalty cannot be truly assessed because it surely comes from love and not money. Since this is a job first, which pays the wages that keeps them and their family alive, most players or club members see it as such but fully realise that during a lifetime or a career they must also meet inner emotional goals, ambitions or achievements as a supplement to the financial remuneration to fulfill their needs. This means that they must be open to all offers and assess each on it's merits with a view to deciding whether the new opportunity will further the progress pattern that they feel is their best life pattern AND also to meet the progress pattern of their family unit. I think that Terry had a lot of soul searching to do amidst this challenge that he has faced. And inner turmoil too. He must have experienced a significant degree of restlessnesswithin his being that motivated this quest for information but that can easily be seen as a very positive response to the challenge that faced him. Had he not taken up the challenge to quest, what would he have wondered in the future as to what he could have missed and the regrets that he might feel as a consequence? He is no longer a young man and he doesn't have to prove a great deal as to his worthiness as a job performer. Taking all the decisions himself is not necessarily always absolutely necessary to further his own life goals or that of his employer and so allowing others under his guidance and control to do much of the work and decision making, if it is also good for his employer, is an equally worthy course. And wise because it's teamwork after all, not extreme individualism, that counts in the long run. Having decided that staying at ICT is the best course we should quietly be happy since his overal influence on his assistants and the players and the club in general also has to be taken into account in our judgement of his actions. Talk is cheap and he has the right to talk to anybody in a free country. Actions speak louder than words so let's watch and wait to see what the final outcome is and support him too because the father of the Prodigal son is said to have welcomed him back into the fold, without negative judgement, for his own reasons.

So you think that highly of Antonio?
-
Right on Caley D --what complacency? I didn't detect any at all. Which is surprising because the team has really, really done well. Clacher, you have not been on here for quite a while and you have now brought negativity in with you .Such that Scarlet feels depressed. Why are you dwelling on negative things or aspects of their play? What's wrong with positivity? I mean what is your point apart from the complacency plug. Being joyous is not the same thing as being complacent, n'est ce pas? Face it : this may be a season to remember and in a big way. And maybe the only season for a while when we have the wonderful luxury of feeling ggggooooodddddd--- and for good reason. So, my new Year's resolution is to shrug off your negative remarks and enjoy this blast while it last(s).
-
Better to stay here and win everything this season--then Spanish clubs will be after him with Antonio acting as interpreter and singing his praises.

The aquifer eh, IHE?

He's just preparing the ground in case he loses...

How can St Mirren be in the league position they occupy after such a scintllating performance as seen in the highlights? Great spirit and urgency. Won't be long before they start to climb up the table. On this performance, compared to some of the others that have come to Tulloch, they deserve to. Very entertaining and frenetic game. Shinnie's goal -awesome. Samson was a very busy and agile keeper and I too thought that Toni seemed to be caught unawares and I think he could maybe have stretched out a little bit more with a bit more effort to divert that ball from Imrie.Seerms a shame to mention any playereally since they all worked their socks off. Are young men on steroids or what? Whew! Otherwise, you couldn't take your eyes off the game (highlights actually, smile). Wow!

If a club offered half a million pounds for Billy macKay should the club accept it./ I think they would be hard pressed to refuse it. When you're in your hay-day that's when you make your moves....eh?
-
You know when you look back all these years the Caley Park does look smaller than from when I was a wee boy,.In these days it was like a holy of holies......big and beckoning. Just like the width of the street where I lived from birth--after going back years later, i was struck by how narrow it looked.
-
Good post Charles --only one big word that shivered my timbers.: HUBRIS. I think that means some kind of obsession doesn't it? Whatever, the fact is that any REAL supporter could not possibly stay away from the current Caley Thistle park games could he or she? So, onward and upward.

English view of Inverness Caledonian Thistle
Scarlet Pimple replied to EvilHeat's topic in Serious Discussion
Well, London is just as remote from Inverness as the other way round. So......? And Charlie, being one of our posters, well, we have to go a bit easy on him don't we? After all, is he not just putting out his journalistic Banner, Man...? -
And that was what the celebrated but, by now, long forgotten book..."The Egg and I." was about : Much ado about nothing. Charles, do you remeber it?
-
Looks like, but........ There's many a slip twixt cup and lip so Terry and Mo had better not take any chances .
