The problems that I had with wmv have been solved by DOUBLE clicking the flash link instead The video then opened with Adobe Flash . Top Six Next Year also suggested a download for another free flash player from CNET and I downloaded that as support. Picture VERY much better and have no complaints now. I can see the colours of the kits and can identify the teams and so forth .Oh and the pitch now looks like green grass . Spectacular video.

Had the spies out in force today: Jammy win. Defence could kill us in th short term. Team tired--Terry does not have the replacements to rest them unless he calls up the young 'uns. Foran MUST BE SIGNED FOR NEXT SEASON immediately. Period.; "An overhead kick and scores" ---Now that is flayer plair. Can't wait to see the highlights. We have certainly had Lady Luck on our side of late. Mind you, we deserve a break after last sseason's heartache.
-
After watching the video highlights, you have to think that a priority for Terry must be to sign up Richie Foran . Of course that may appear to be a singling out of one player when all of the team is doing their stuff but he seems to be a key in the attacking area and draws the opposing players on to him as he drives in towards the goal. I have been intrigued by Odi too since he seems to have the habit of being in the right place at the right time to plonk them in.

Wmv works for me but the colours are either purple or washed out red and the picture is very ghostly and grey background.. So, at first I am unable to identify the teams or the players. I am playing it on Winamp. The flash does not open for me --just a black page on Winamp. Must be my end I suppose. Any thoughts?

This is hiilarious. Sometimes I wish I was young again. "Fell over the chair into the older gentleman. " Priceless . This is ...."So sorry, old chap! After you Claude" stuff. Don't worry, DC, we need you as supporters--that's what it is all about. Paying your money and having a good time. As for you, Scarlet, enjoy what's left of your time on this earth. You can do that by accessing this Forum more frequently to keep you young at heart. Come on Scotty--you can see why this is .....REALLY FUNNY. I MEAN, WHAT'S A CHAIR WHEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN D.C'S HEID THAT GOT BROKE AS HE FELL INTO THE OLD GEEZER! hA! hA! hA! hA! hA

It was Daddy Pimpernell , no less. But do not let on I told you or I will get it from him and no mistake. I told him that there would be a few spies from out of town at the match and he did not see the wispy smile flickering around my sensuous lips due to his developing glaucoma. So I let him dream on . When he came back into the Hall I asked him how he enjoyed the game and he said. " I didn't see too much of it because I was filming most of the time but whenRaithj scored their third goal I was in the lavatory and darned well missed it. Was that the clincher?" Oh my!

Mainstander--can't you see it was only posted to wind you up? Aspirin is really cheap these days and is good at reducing blood pressure. Send one to me will you? Ha!

Are we a bit Haysesy on this? Is he going to get his ribbed strapped up or not?

Why was the culture allowed to develop[ you say? Answer...Fear! And the antidote to that toxic feeling is ...discussion. I don't think Don was "wrong" because he made statements based on information which he sought but which was not available to him at the times of his comments. Unless he had done this he could not have pursued the matter. The fact that he did, and in the process forced a positive outcome, suggests that his attitude and comments could have been more right than wrong at the time he made them. Remember it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil! So,well done, honest Don! I was wondering who actually penned the article on behalf of the Supoporters Trust? It was well written.

Scotty--your knowledge base rather stuns me. I enjoyed reading the articles in English for "Der Speigel" attached to that link you posted. Very insightful. The one I liked the most was about the huge , grotesque bonuses now being paid by the U.S. Banks to thier top guns which has enraged Obama who now wants to impose huge fees on the banks. Good! Can't come too soon for me. here is one for you .... www.neptunecanada.ca. This research of the ocean project is run by the University of Victoria on Vancouver Island, in association with several other world Universities. It has taken years to come to fruition and involves the transmission of date collected via probes embedded into the sea floor and camera images by the use of fibre-optic cables back to base. Any member of the public can participate in this project. Some of the images from thousands of feet down in the Pacific Ocean where the Canadian continental shelf sea floor suddenly drops down some 15,000 feet are stunning. Allegiant Air in the North West of the U.S. waits until you get to the counter on the away flight to tell you that luggage carrying costs are not included in the ticket. That one cost my wife and her grown son some $77 each for the away and return flights---just to carry a total of one suitcase each! It pays to research every step of the way if you are going on a trip and take nothing for granted. THE GREYHOUND BUS COMPANY IN NORTH AMERICA LOOKS MORE AND MORE ATTRACTIVE FOR INTER-CONTINETAL TRAVEL THESE DAYS. UNLESS YOU ARE UNLUCKY ENOUGH TO GET ON THE BUS WHERE A NUTCASE CUT OFF ONE OF THE PASSENGER'S HEADS WITH A KNIFE . I think the security may have changed since then though! In Western Canada the only two airlines that seem to be still flying to Britain are Air Canada and AirTransat with the latter being the cheaper of the two. Zoom went zooming down the tubes and is now defunct.

My recollection is that Avast has a rather rough-looking image (no frills. like) but works very well.

Rooney is making it because he is not a skiver and is not lazy. He also accepts responsibility for his work, his place in the team and for doing something really with effort and with passionate desire as the motivation. Scotty hit the nail on the head when he underscored the responsibility of all of us to adapt to the requirements of the job.The company pays our salary and not the other way around. Rooney deserves respect and plaudits fror turning round his poor performances at the beginning into something very positive. Oh, sorry I almost forgot this was a thread about Mr Barrowman. Was he like Rooney? Well, read between the lines........
-
Anyone know the crowd at TCs today---or tonight?
-
Went to refill the coffee cup and ---3 up. Holy Moleskin. Barrowman obviously cannot be playing--othetrwise County would be 3 up, what? The besat place to be today is watching this thread=the other text spaces on the net are too sporadioc and don't update fast enough. We shall have to try very hard from now on to have our very own ICT radio broadcasts. Lomg live that day. Smile. :020:

Hi Buckett--I would if I could but I can't. Nae money in the accoont. The wife told me a year ago that she wanted to go on a cruise from Los Angeles down the Mexican Coast and the ticket would be $600. She did, two weeks ago but she decided , with her East Indian Friends, to go to Disneyland AFTERWARDS, AND GO ON ALL THE RIDES,also. She also forgot to mention the air fares, the bus travel, the gratuities on board the Norwegian Star (now owned by some Asian wallah) etc plus tyhe purchase of the Mexican trinkets, etc, and the bill has now come in. So you will have to wait for that drink old chap!. But how come I didn't see you at the Oympics here in Fanny Couver? Was that ever a good gig. Usual crowd downtown every night was about 30,000 and every pub and charnel house was packed to the gunwales. Sigh! Old Scarlet did not fancy trying to find a parking spot doon toon and chickened oot. Holy Mackerel. I,m broke.About $2,000 I think, the bill was --I didn't ask just waited for the Bank Statement and prayed!. LOL :)

What a tome. Sniff. And not a word about the Scarlet Pimple. Manfer needs to get out more. OMG, is that him sprinting round the corner--oops! Ah'm aff! :)

Renegade you sure take the biscuit for that last remark. Head deep in the sand, eh? You can change your lifestyle you know and the first step to do that is to educate yourself on the fundamentals of this and other similar issues. As to the other remarks made on here , in the main the empathy and sensitivity of many of the posts is very encouraging. Maybe the younger generation is changing focus in this worl of greed, corruption and bestiality of tMan towards other species. To the person who wrote---" the animals in slaughter houses are killed humanely, they stun them, don't you know?" Please read my first post on that topic. Stunning often does not kill them at all. The references to chickens is very appropriate on this thread, Farmed chickens used for laying eggs have to sit in small cages with at least one other chicken, are force fed and they are treated as little more than a machine. This is their life and they are NEVER allowed to run free or stretch their legs and theyu can hardly move let alone turn around. The incredibly cramped conditions in which they exist must seem to them like hell on earth--the natural act of a chicken is to scratch yet their cage floor consists of thin metal wire on which they have to stand or squat for 24 hours a day. Have you ever tried to walk on such bars and know how difficult it is and then think how painful it must be for these birds. The wire bars are open so that they can drop their bird mess through and of course, as far as I know, no one is assigned to clean out their cages on a daily basis. As far as the Japanese having respect for the rules and regulations of the Internation Whaling Commission. The former flaunt the rules consistently and the Commission is nothing more than a sop to public outcry.Period. What scientific research can go on for years relating to whales, or other animals/mammals.? All that needed to be learned about them has been sent to the archives years and years ago, if not centuries. And modern science has learned anything that might have been overlooked, donkey's years ago. Have all their years of research resulted in more humane killing? What is humane, by the way, about blasting a explosive harpoon into a whale or other marinme animal , watching it explode inside the beast and the agonising death throes of the animal. And by the way, how many of you know that it can take up to an hour or more for that whale to die as it usually is tethered alongside the vessel and I have not the slightest doubt that many of them are dragged onboard and butchered whilst they are still alive. Fish farms don't work. ! On the West Coast of Canada the salmon coming into the rivers to spawn have to pass these farms and are infected with the sea lice that is associated with farmed salmon. That is one of the significant reasons why the numbers of returning salmon to the spawning rivers, like the Fraser, have been decimated over the last few years and ARE NOW SO LOW THAT THE MATTER IS ONE OF THE MOST SERIOUS ISSUES FACING THIS INDUSTRY IN OVER TWENTY OR THIRTY YEARS. The cod fishery on the East Coast of Canada is now virtually finished completely due to overfishing ,which has had huge effects on the employment situation in the coastal regions of Eastern Canada. And Iceland has no cod either is that correct? Salmon and other fish is no longer as plentiful as they once were here on the West Coast and the Government instituted a policy of buying the fishing boats from the fishermen to get them off the seas and has put strict quotas in place to cotrol the aize of catches. ETC. Without going on , unless there is a major effort made now by Nations to understand that this planet is about to fall apart unless a concerted effort is made to institute enforceable policies to protect alll sentient animals and all plant lifeand respect their rights to exist and flourish, without being wounded cruelly or being reduced to ashes. The fact is that their role in nature cannot be replaced if we want to maintain the balance that has been arrived at over many thousands of years in Nature.Without the small fish the large fish will die, without the large fish the plankton and weeds will flourish and kill off everything else in the ocean etc, etc.

Lions Gate Studios are in North Vancouver, B.C. Canada. Now, being in Hollywood North, they are successful. I take it they are te same people shown in the credits ?

Not sure meself Scotty. Smile. Picked up p.m. as a.m. I am afraid. With only one good eye now, it's difficult to see everything in a crystal clear light. 7 hours ahead of us then--it's a deal. I'll mark me diary. Think I'll stop posting and hand it all over tae the young'uns. There are some pretty sharp "coves" on here. It's just downright unfair.. And you are right, Scotty....sure is time for some more comments about the thread topic which is a sobering and very serious one. When I was a teenager we used to call them "coughs". But in Canada a cove is a baseboard (you know, a skirting board, like)...so no wonder we get confused, eh? Now, back to "Open all Mics". Uncle Scarlet

That illegal meat scandal was all over the news here in North America. The reason the trade flourishes is that it happens all over the world. Sorry Johnboy. I did not think about that. I was on here very late at night and currently we are 9 hours behind you because the U>K> drags their feet in advancing their time by one hour. You do it next week.So that's 12 midnight here ---that's, what -- 9 o.clock in the morning in Britain. So Scotty posted at 6 p.m. your time, and I guess nobody was on the site from then until 11 p,m. ? Hmmmmmmm.Strange, :D
