  1. If indeed, there are no child prices for this game, then that is pretty poor and I agree with the views expressed by CD. Longer term, I think allclubs but especially ICT need to look at their pricing structure to attract more fans and reduce prices for certain "less attractive" games. However, the problem with that is how that impacts on season ticket holders of which I am one, as if you are not careful, you could end up attending all matches and pay less than a season ticket holder. To be honest, that does not matter to me but it would to some people and I know how important the season ticket money is to the club. Attendances this season are dipping hugely at all clubs so fresh ideas are needed to address this and the top one for me is price, quite how it can be done is another thing but worth a debate on a new topic?
  2. This rumour has being going around for several weeks now. The source from where i first heard this was from someone within the club telling someone who works with me. That source was not TB by the way or JH.
  3. Priorities have to be Get safe from relegation Top 6 spot, sixth is probably the best we can hope for but very much possible get as far as we can in the Scottish Cup which could in turn get us into Europe. As someone said, exiting times ahead and an awful lot still to play for this season
  4. Lennon would be a fool if he thinks last nights performance will be reflective of how we will play against Celtic. Granted, that was the poorest performance, in parts, for a long time but it has to be remembered that there was a great deal of pressure on the players and management to achieve a result last night because of the major financial rewards attached to a victory. That, I think, had an impact on our performance.
  5. I too have this sinking feeling that Proctor will start if Rosscoe isn't fit.
  6. Alex - I thought the price of £15 was pretty reasonable for the cup game. Remember last season for the Elgin game, it was only £10 and Elgin had more fans there than us. I don't know what the reason is for poor cup crowds but the attendance for the Dunfermline game was a disgrace for Inverness as an SPL "city". I am a season ticket holder but have no issue with paying for cup games and if some season ticket holders do, I really fail to see why. While prices for league games needs to be looked at at, some supporters f ICT also need to taake a long hard look at themselves as well when it comes to cup games. Should we end up playing Celtic in the next round, I am sure the "supporters" will as usual be clamouring for their tickets.

That is my understanding too, County would still have to meet the minimum seeting requirement before considering terracing.
  8. For me, when United scored their second goal on Saturday, we should have taken Foran off and brought Tade on up front with Mackay - bringing Nick Ross on was a complete waste of time - he hardly touched the ball. Spot on Donald, that substitution was baffling.
  9. I actually thought Foran was ok on Saturday and by no means the worst player for us. He kept on trying and didn't win anything like he normally does in the air as he was continually being fouled. Some of the ref's decisions on that were just so wrong. Incidentally, Mackay was taken out in a very similar situation to what Hogg was sent off for and in my opinion, this was a stronger case for a sending off. One day, a decision will turn for us. Where we lost the gamne was in midfield, and I have to say the midfield is a culpable as the defence this season for contributing to losing goals. As soon as Davis went to right back, the game changed. I know a lot of people have said that Cox should have been played there, as he can play right back but how many games at right back has he played for us. I can only remember him covering right back in games where we have lost the right back so would he have been any better or worse thatn Davis at right back. Impossible to say but ceratinly not as conclusive as a lot of posters have indicted. Renegad's suggestion of moving Gilet to centre back does make more sense but again, how many of us have seen him play at centre back and could this have changed the game, again impossible to say. The substitution of Shinne for Ross was where TB lost it for me. Ross is not a matchwinner and far too lightweight for yesterdays game. He contributed nothing, and in fairness to him, Idon't see how he was going to anyway with where he was played. For some reason also, confidence disappeared, although it was never really there to start with yesterday, once Dundee Utd scored. That is a big worry for me.
  10. : Come on Huisdean this is caleythistleonline , half these posters dont have a clue !
  11. So the logic for dropping Esson is not that he has played badly but that a new keeper may make the difference between having a clean sheet or not. How is Tuffey meant to improve the communication for the defence when he has hardly played!. Unbelievable.
  12. Much has been made about Tansey "leading with his arm". Well if that is violent conduct, every centre half would be sent off on a regular basis. The centre half issue really annoys me as these guys continually foul by leading with their arm but rarely get fouls given against them. As I have said previously, the ref must be a 100% sure before making a decision and he could not possibly have been from the angle he saw this from. All he has done is put 2 and 2 together and not got 4.
  13. Don't know about the grass being longer, but as someone has already said, the temperatures have been way above normal here recently and plants are starting to bud and grow again. Pitch definately looked like the pitch had been watered though as a few players were slipping initially.
  14. Irrespective of whether this sending off contravened the rules of the game or not, the officials have to be 100% sure before making decisions like this. The referee appears to have made up his mind instantly when all he needed to do was pause a minute and assess the situation. While it may, and I stress may have looked like voilent conduct, to then see Samaras rolling around as if he had gone 15 rounds with Joe Frazier should have set alarm bells ringing in the refs mind but no, instant decision made and game ruined. Can the referees not see that, by making the instant decisons many do, they are only making a rod for their own back. I therefore have no sympathy for the abuse then directed at the referee. Secondly, since the rules of the game are being debated, what should happen when players raise there hands to their opponents. both McCourt and Mastrovic did this but no action. We have also had players booked for kicking the ball away previously but both Layal and Stokes did this and nothing happened. Had Kayal been booked, he would have then been off for his tackle on Foran.
  15. Were you at the game yesterday as all of the signings played really well especially Andrew Shinnie who got a deserved man of the match. I truly despair at some of the nonsense posted on nthis siteat times.
  16. Hayes definately booked Scotty, presumably for dissent.
  17. But Johndo, one performance was very good, the St Johnstone performance came out of the blue and TB obviously thought the team deserved another chance. I can see his logic although I would have made a couple of changes.
  18. As usual some interesting posts and some deranged if not delusional ones at times (perhaps our learned friend IHE could comment on that!). I did think of posting after the game but then decided to have a longer think about what I was going to say. While the team was poor yesterday, and against St Johnstone the previous week, it should not be forgotten, although everyone seems to have, that this was the same team that comfortably beet Kilmarnock, St Mirren (2 of the best teams so far this season according to the media) comfortably and should have beaten Hearts (the third best team in Scotland?). Clearly something has happended in the last two games and the team looked short of confidence on Saturday but why the team has changed so much in two games, I haven't a clue. Posters can go on about various things, and the constant carping about Munro and Duncan is becoming tedious, but the above is the only solid fact about what has happened. If someone could tell me why things have suddenly changed over the last two ganes (over to you TB), I would be grateful, but whatever the reason, changes do need to be made to the team this week to shale them up if nothing else. TB needs to remember that it was shaking up the team against Ayr in the SFL, and getting a result, kick started our season and something like that needs to happen now. I still think someong will get a hammering from us soon and hope it is Saturday.
  19. Firstly, Foran did not have the best game yesterday but let's be honest who did. The booing of him at the end from The North Stand, if that is what happened is unnacceptable and if that is what some of our fans think is supporting the team, then shame on them. Too many so called supporters of this club never seem to be happy unless they are moaning. That said, team selection and substitutes were wrong yesterday. I appreciate that Butcher wanted to give the team a chance to atone for last weeks performance but some now need to be dropped pronto to gee them up.
  20. And what evidence is this based on!!. We are having a hard enough time scoring goals as it is and you want to put a centre back up front. Where is the darkened room as I need to lie down.
  21. Like some other posters, I really fail to see why there is so much unrelenting negativity against some of the players. Sure Tade had 3 bad misses yesyerday, and on another day this could have come back to haunt us but id didn't. What some people have to remember is that to score goals, you have to be in the correct positions and make the correct runs. Tade is doin this brilliantly but his finishing is letting him down and needs to get worked on pronto. Disappointing to see some of the commenst from some posters who just listened to the game on the radio yesterday. This was possibly out best home performance to date and some really good football was played in all areas yesterday. St. Mirren were supposedly the form team going into yesterdays game and supposedly playing a really attractive type of football. Well yesterday, there was onlt one team playing exciting football and it wasn't St. Mirren. If the score had been 5-1 yesterday, it would not have been an injustice and the same could have been said for the Hearts match. I don't think I have seen the team create so many chances as they have done this season and someone is going to be on the end of a good thrashing from us very soon. Finally, a word about Andrew Shinnie yesterday. I admit to not being terribly impressed in previous games I have seen him play but yesterday he was tremendous and showed a great deal of skill in both linking play and getting forward. Yet after the Dundee Utd game, he was getting real abuse from fans over his performance. All this tells me is that some fans need to take a look at themselves before resorting to shouting abuse at our players and appreciate how difficult it can be to plat football at time. It is a team game and the singling out of individuals at times, by sections of our support, is dreadful ans so counter productive.
  22. Totally agree. Too many fans think they can shout abuse at players & managers the whole game then complain loudly when they have a go back. This is not exclusive to ICT but some fans need to remember this. Also can we please stop harping on about the players let go in the summer. We are trying to play a different way and Munro cnnot play that way (witness the display against Celtic tonight, same old hoofs up the park. We are not the only team struggling just now but no team has had the injuries we have. Some fans sem to forget that the majority of the injuries are to first team players and their deputies are either not yet at the same standard or the loan signings have still to prove their worth.
  23. I think we may be guaranteed a sending off on Saturday!!.
  24. So why did we finish 7th then? I am with you on most of what you say, but this whole "We had a team capable of top 6" thing is a load of pish. We've been close to top 6 on a couple of occasions and done the "just a few changes" thing and it's made no difference. Butcher felt it needed more radical action, and all respect to him for having the gonads to take the chance in doing what he did. Munro and Duncan were club heroes, I get that, but they weren't single handedly bringing success to the club. People need to get over it and move on. As I've said before, I'm not expecting top 6 this season. You have to be VERY fortunate to make such a big change and see immediate success from it. For me, this season is building season and as frustrating as that might be for the fans, we have to look at what the change in style and attitude might bring long term. I remember being at a seminar about change...or more specifically, knowing when not to change. If you really believe everything you're doing is right and the results are bad then is it really you, or is it external forces? If it's external forces, can you change to counter them and if/when they change again can you quickly adapt back or is it better to ride the storm and see your plan through. It's easy to witness failure and believe change is the answer....but it's not always. Granted, I would have hoped for a bit more than what we're witnessing at present, but when you look beyond the results at the games then there's really not a lot that needs to change for these results to be going the other way. A wee rub of the green and some of the shots that hit the woodwork find the back of the net, a few players back from injury and the chance to play a formation that is selected and not forced upon us and everything changes. IMO this is the first time in a long time a manager at ICT has the "luxury" of succeeding or failing by his own hand. He's got his team out there playing things his way and only time will tell whether he got it right or wrong. Being just a handful of games into the season is not the time to be judging, it's the time to be getting right behind the manager and team to give them every opportunity of making the plan succeed. I've lost count of the number of times over they years that ICT have won games and the opposition fans were saying "we should never have lost to them". The show is on the other week. It's not nice, but sometimes chit happens and you just have to get up, brush yourself down and get on with it. Agree with most of what you say Caley D, and think we will come good. The only thing that does concern me is that so many of the players are signed for only 1 year. If they do not sign on again at the end of the season, we could be in the boat as this year. Does anyone know why so many players were only signed for 1 year?.
  25. Absolute nonsense. No team has a divine right to win any game and, while we might win these games 9 times out of 10, there is always the chance the "underdog" will win. For example, ICt beating Celtic twice, Aberdeen losing to QofS, Stenhousemuir, Rangers losing to Hamilton years ago. These things happen in football which is why it is the sport it is.
