  1. coming soon (on next version of the forum)
  2. Sounds like that is very much the type of position ... or at least co-ordinating those activities amongst the other staff. As anyone can see if they look back on posts where I have commented on Kenny, I am firmly in the "supporter" camp when it comes to him and his role at ICT. In my opinion, Kenny is one of the good guys and a perfect choice to deal with his peers at boardroom, staff and fan levels and to cut through as much of the BS, mistrust and other negative factors that have surrounded ICT for a few years now. He isnt afraid to listen to ideas that are not his own, he isnt afraid to at least try and address issues, and he isnt afraid to give a response even if one of the aforementioned peer groups might not like it. With TB in charge of the football team and Kenny in charge of the backroom team, I feel very positive about the coming season.
  3. excellent news in my opinion.
  4. Because its the rules !!! Unfortunately, football authorities do not work on a basis where you can apply a sliding scale or common sense approach to interpretation of these rules so its always a "one size fits all" approach that is more likely to be required at Ibrox or Parkhead than the TCS. By the time many of the rules/guidelines/recommendations/suggestions and ideas have filtered down from FIFA to UEFA to SFA/SFL/SPL with additional tweaks from Westminster & Holyrood as well as emergency services, Health & Safety and any number of other local, regional or national agencies, quangos or committees it gets to a stage where you can barely exhale at a stadium without fear of ejection, warnings or FBOs !!!! Its a crock of **** but the club's hands are pretty much tied.
  5. These will be in the letter and also announced on Friday at 9am as noted in the posting on the official site ...... be patient, only 36 hours until you find out !!! got my letter and guess what still not prices just a very long letter with instructions about how to renew through mfr website. We received 3 letters - 1 for me and 1 ezch for the kids all have different client no when I think we had 1 between us previously.to get the credit you need a different form also downloadable or form the club. There is no mention or any ohter way to buy your ticket if you cant use a computer but I assume you can buy direct from the club.No mention of friday as the launch date either.Oh well nothing is ever simple then is it? Sorry - havent seen the letter so didnt know what was in it !!! We have been assured that we will be included in the press release so we will also have the prices up as soon as they are released for general viewing. We will also have a downloadable copy of the finance form available. Probably because Friday is the day that the other parties involved - ticket line, ticket website via MFR, finance company etc - have agreed upon.

  7. sounds to me like the actions of one (or more) person(s) forced the hand of those who perhaps turned a blind eye to the 'segregation' rule beforehand and now we are back in the SPL (who are somewhat anal about their own and everyone else's rules and recommendations) it wont be possible to overlook this any more.
  8. Maybe we could stick all the corporate customers in that nice wee West Stand and build one of those little light rail thingumyjigs like they have at Whin Park to whisk them to the main stand at HT/FT ..... added benefit is that it could also drop TB off at the dugout if his knee is still bothering him PS - joking !!!! Seriously though, I am a bit on the fence with this one !!!! It seems from reading the article that some fans are being asked to move so the club can comply with demands put on them from Police/SPL or others. I am guessing from the article that it is the lower portion of the upper seating area in the main stand and only some of them are being asked to move so the club can have a row or two between hospitality bods and 'normal' fans (?). If that is he case then it may be a necessary evil, if the club move these guys and then fill it up with more hospitality bods then its a slap in the face. However, 'asking' - as is being done here - is in stark contrast to a relocation (or attempted relocation) that happened when the family enclosure was established. If memory serves me correctly, some fans in the main stand were told they were required to move and when that wasnt received very well, it was achieved in a more underhand way by removing family discounts for kids tickets in the main stand. I know one or two posters were affected by this so am sure someone will be along to correct me if I am wrong. As I said, I am a bit on the fence ..... If I were still a season ticket holder and the club asked me to move from my former seat above the tunnel that I held since we moved into the TCS until my emigration - and then passed on to Big Stew's dad who sits there to this day - I would be shouting long and loud. However, at the end of the day, I would move if the club could provide me with a suitable alternative location that didnt have a vastly inferior view and also provided that the rest of our group who specifically bought tickets together could be housed together. This seems to be a situation where no-one can win. The club seem to need to do this and the supporters dont want to move as they are comfortable sitting in a seat they have enjoyed for years ..... I can see both sides of the argument but no solution that will keep everyone happy ..... other than my choo-choo suggestion ......
  9. So your saying Lloyd James and Kayne McLaggon then ???
  10. too much information !!!! lets tone it down please .... family site and all that B)
  11. personally, I couldnt give a rats ass and have avoided this and other RC-DUFC threads for days !!! If you want to support County today its your choice, if you want to support Dundee Utd today its your choice. I cant say I would take either option as I lost all interest in this competition when ICT went out and have no plans to make any effort to view it online or elsewhere. but to those who would slag off any ICT fan who makes a choice to lend their support to one of those teams I would say ... get over yourself, what gives YOU the right to sit in judgement over another persons choice? You may not agree with it, it may give you a warm feeling of superiority to denegrate them, but words like 'judas', 'traitor' and such like are a bit OTT. Like I said, I dont give a rats ass who wins/loses, and I wouldnt support either team, but I am not going to slag off anyone who feels like going to a national cup final and lending support or just watching the game. Life's too short to get all worked up about this nonsense !!!
  12. Our domain name is now hosted with the new registrar and there does not seem to have been any issues. The site is still currently live on the old host (the one that has outages from time to time !!!) but we will be performing a test migration soon. This test migration will not involve any disruption to the site as we will simply be making a copy of the site and then moving the copy so we can get our procedure down pat. In preparation for this test migration I will be cleaning up our forums and archiving a lot of old material to the read-only forums as well as performing a similar action on 'inactive' user accounts.
  13. It is encouraging though that with TB at the helm we may see it sooner rather than later. Maybe with Hayes, maybe Rooney ... or maybe someone we dont know about yet .... Whats the chances of a result like he had at Motherwell? Faced with financial ruin, he was forced to turn to young talent and between his recognition of that talent and John Boyle's wiping out of his personal debt from the club it basically brought Motherwell back from the brink ..... Stephen Pearson sold to Celtic for ?350,000 & James McFadden to Everton for ?1,250,000
  14. you know what ... well done to Imrie !!!! His career has been real "Roy of the Rovers" stuff ... in junior football not that many seasons ago he has climbed the ranks, competed in the SFL and the SPL and is now presumably attracting interest or at least scouting trips from bigger teams north and south of the border .... If he achieves all of this whilst having a bit of arrogance to fuel his motivation and/or self belief that he can reach the very top then I say good luck to him !!! Its a short career and he appears to be making every effort to get the most out of it.
  15. And how right he was. right now our star assets may be worth mi??ions in our eyes, but we are not the potential buyers ..... There is not a huge amount of money around in Scottish football right now and most clubs that might be interested in the likes of Hayes, Rooney or Foran would be looking at each as a 'gamble' who they will pay less for in the same way we should have looked at Mr Barrowman when we got him from a lower league team !!! 29 goals in D2 did not translate into goals for ICT and our fingers got severely burned. A buying team will not know whether they are getting an 'Imrie', 'Cowie' or 'Rankin' who can perform at a higher level or whether they are getting a 'Barrowman' or 'McAllister' who need to drop down a level or two to reach that performance so the bid would reflect that. It is compounded by the fact - as mentioned above - that we seem to like our 2 year deals which realistically speaking - with Bosman - translate into 1 or 1 and a bit year deals before the player attracts interest as a possible 'free'.
  16. yup - reading some of the comments on P&B seems Buddies fans were not a fan of the McPherson 'style' as you described, but definitely happy with the results he managed to grind out. Dont think you can really fault him that much ... he managed to get them to win ugly and stay up. speculation there may be new owners on the horizon but none of it will do their pre-season any good which is good news for the rest of us.
  17. Adams would be a good shout. He is a decent manager and if he left Brewster behind County could attempt to win D2 again the season after next :)
  18. On P&B (which is essentially a St Mirren board that evolved to cover all Scottish football) the talk is of ... McCall Adams Calderwood Robbo Paatelainen McDowall ... no mention of Butcher (yet)
  19. Admire the optimism but seriously - NO. As has been said before, we simply dont have the resources or manpower to sustain a title winning challenge for the whole season. It is one of the same arguments we used at the start of this season to dismiss the challenge of almost everyone except Dundee. My personal hope for next season is that we somehow scrape into the top six as that will be a major achievement. I will however be happy with somewhere between 7-9th and would also find 10th or 11th 'acceptable'. The only unacceptable outcome for next season is 12th !!!
  20. Getting a sponsor, any sponsor, is great news. The fact that it is Orion and a local company is even better. If there is/was a rift between AS and DFS - and there is plenty of material to suggest there was - then hopefully this either signifies that it was not as great as it was made out to be or if it was, that the main parties involved have put aside any differences to do what is best for ICT. I certainly hope so as I have often said that I felt ICT would move forward if these two local businessmen could work together for the good and benefit of our club.

Interesting to note that almost immediately after the comments above were made, our site shop provider has notified us that a complaint has been received from an individual about the "Wang Cars" design and therefore they have pulled it for now as they investigate ...... Our shirt shop is one of the many revenue streams we use to make sure we can keep this site free for our users, and it takes 3 or 4 days for a design to go through their approval process before it can be used, especially if it contains a logo or anything that looks like a logo. these kinds of design require us to submit an explanation, or in the case of private designs for a company where a logo IS used, a letter of authority from the ? or ? holder. We are confident that the use of both the "Wang Cars" and "Stig" designs (which we have been notified is the next design that will be complained about) will be upheld but even if we are allowed to we probably wont re-instate them as the paperwork involved is excessive. We would like to say thank you very much to the user who tried to do this to us and to our members. Very classy
  22. so would an MLS ref !
  23. A Croatian footballer was booked for diving dying during a match between Mladost and Hrvatski Sokola this week. The referee, a well known disciplinarian had warned both teams before the game that he would take no **** during the game and when Goran Tunjic fell to the ground with the ball nowhere near him the official immediately branded a yellow card. It was then found the player had collapsed with a suspected heart attack and despite efforts to revive him he later died. The yellow card was rescinded !!! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/...art-attack.html
  24. all sounds very fair and considerate. glad to hear it
