  1. On one hand I can't help but feel that if it was felt we were in with a genuine shout of the title back in January we would not have got rid of him. On the other hand I have heard he was not the most positive influence in the dressing room. Bottom line, though, is have we missed him? No. So I guess it wasn't a mistake.
  2. Can I call a public meeting to discuss the merits of bestiality and talking to lamp-posts in an independant Scottish Republic. G, T & WB have agreed to attend if acceptable.
  3. A lot of us were in the Tulloch Institute in Perth before the Mickey Mouse Cup Final.
  4. Excellent news. Made my day.
  5. And who won the 2nd Division award? Rory McAllister. Who would have believed it!
  6. Well done. The Sunday Herald was totally pathetic yesterday in terms of coverage.
  7. Click Here If he can get across Inverness in 11 minutes I need to discover his route. B)
  8. The yoof did you proud today. Yer P45's in the post.
  9. Really rich from an Aberdonian. Why not have an eight team league? That would get rid of the Dons quick enough. Quite priceless. You want to open up top flight football to as many different communities as possible. That's got to be good. You have to get rid of the split which is a piece of total nonsense. You want to give as many Scottish players as possible the chance to play at the highest level to see what they are made of. A year in the SFL has certainly shown me that there are some really good players who could and should be playing at a higher level. Even Dundee and County have a few. What more can I say!
  10. Going like the proverbial hot-cakes tonight. I'm sure they will be popular tomorrow.
  11. Voted No. Change certainly needed but this is not the way. Get more teams in.
  12. How may gallons does it take to fill Les up?
  13. I have it on good authority that Grassa and Mike Noble are re-uniting to sing "Bring it on Home" in gaelic.
  14. From speaking to Jimmy Falconer yesterday I believe this to be correct and ICT are bracing themselves for a fine. More pitch invasions this Saturday and the powers that be are likely to be throwing the book at them. So don't do it. Police and stewards in Inverness are likely to be more prepared than their counterparts in Ayr were. If fans do come onto the pitch they will probably grab some of them who could easily find themselves ejected from the stadium (at best) and possibly banned from returning. Even if they don't get a hold of you straight away, there will be photos galore of the offenders all over the web and the club might act later. Maybe you think I'm scare-mongering but this advice comes from years working with the Supporters Trust and seeing the difficulties fans get into when they either break the law of the land or the rules that apply to football stadia. In some cases, they have been put through absolute hell. Don't let it happen to you on what should be such a great day.
  15. Good grief, we've got a whole year to see the trophy up close.
  16. Picture in the goalmouth at the end ? It's a date! :D
  17. Agree totally with CaleyD's last paragraph. I do fear that ICT will need to be seen, after the events at Somerset, to do their utmost to make sure there are no pitch invasions during the Dundee game. Two pitch invasions in consecutive games, no matter how good natured, will be frowned upon by the powers that be. So I would not be surprised to read next Saturday night of fans complaining about what they consider to have been heavy handed policing and stewarding during the game. I'm not sure that can be avoided. I would also expect the players to be given advice to not over celebrate goals and certainly not get anywhere near the perimeter wall which Eagle and Morrison did at Ayr and led to folks coming on to the pitch. Be careful folks. People have been led away in handcuffs after pitch invasions at Caledonian Stadium before.
  18. Sounds like nothing much is changing then.
  19. Anyone who watched the first half of the season should get one.

    Andy Penman

Found this on You Tube. It's shot in Feb '74 and can only be a year or two before he came to Caley. While the comic value of watching Arbroath beat the Gers is worth a look in itself, seeing Penman again after all the years is so good. You can pick him out on the field from a mile off.
