Royal Antwerp Matchday thread
I gave it to the RSPCA as it was too feckin small for me.

Can you hear the noise ?
Unfortunately the production of atmosphere is left to us youngsters - I am fed up trying to get the old gits to join in.

Is it wrong i want to be a mascot?
I will volunteer to run out, hand in hand, as a mascot with GMD11UK as a matter of principle - BUT who would the other nine be ? - and Charlie Bannerman is excluded as he does not meet the minimum height criteria.

Tonights International matches
Bobby Mann - but he still had more class than those two fat, lazy numpties put together.

"Landed Lucky"..? They are already claiming credit for appointing TB & MM, and more importantly, sticking with them through what was a difficult period. If there was a significant turning point for the club after the Brewster years, it just has to be the signing of Foran and Hayes. TB approached ICT - TB/MM picked up a team that wasnt theirs - how could anyone ever have turfed them ? And who signed Foran and Hayes - and why have they stayed.

There is going to be singing, dancing, swigging and incontinence in the olde Wine Shed tonight - are the greyhounds coming on at half time ?- Can you hear the noise ?
I wonder how long Gino would last in the North Stand before the barstewards took action ??- Sports bar
Hey I have found yon red button and deducted Murchie ma first point. Kingsmells is evidently a sarcastic reference to the smelly home of the team that Caledonian FC saved and took over. Forums have just got to have a bit of banter and fun in them or we will all become boring eejits. And I pushed the red button as it was Murchie who made derrogatory personal remarks against a fellow poster. Dry your eyes mun is also a well used Sneckie phrase and rather apt, restrained and polite in the circumstances.- Can you hear the noise ?
Stadia rules, over zealous stewarding, lack of a sited singing section - Going back to the end of last season - Morton was near to being spoiled by a psychopathic steward - QOS allowed us free rein apart from a wee bit of stupidity about standing - the terraces of Ayr were heaven. Unfortunatley we are probably going to face a few ruff away days this season. Plus can anyone tell me any club which has a vociferous home support ??- Ref. for Saturday
Could have been worse - it could have been Ewan Murray.- Butcher and the Board
Fer fecks sake - if George Fraser had taken up TB's offer he would have been a feckin prize muppet. They would have been blown apart by the fan reaction. George and the Muppets are good employers cos TB is firmly in control - and i suspect that the gentleman knows he is, which side is bread is buttered on and is palying the thankful employee game. At least we have the muppets exactly where we want them.- The cost of relegation....
SP - I aint living in the past - if I was Jethro Tull would announce me to be Thick as a Brick !! And CB alludes to the injection of money - presumably even more now since the apparent peaceful amalgamation of Tullochs and Orion. Drawing on reserves - no comment !! Management of cash flow - just had to be tightened out after years of mismanagement. Ok - the future appears rosier and thank feck fer that - but if only the people who made the mistakes or continued the "feuds" would only admit to it and/or apologise to the fan base. Fer yonks they projected the blame on to one another or projected the blame on to others - the Supporters Trust, the players, the managers, the fans. They may have learned their lessons and now operate on a better playing field - but in the memory they will always be useless, amateur feckin muppets. Terry Butcher, the players and a loyal fan base turned this club around - so lets all take the plaudits and scoff at the claims of a bunch of muppets who landed "lucky".- Royal Antwerp Matchday thread
So why don't you "away" guys make an effort and come to a home game? Old story - cos there is usually a fair spreading of alcohol - we can all congregate together - and most of us are up fer the feckin craic. As far as I am concerned home games are a big expense and usually a BIG let down at the games.- Royal Antwerp Matchday thread
Come on - lets face it - they have more of a support than us in numbers and more "lads" and less sweetie rustlers - but if that had been an ordinary match day there would have been feck all of them left standing cos the stewards would have chucked them. Our home support has been lamented from day one but 150-200 of us, given leash would have least have equalled that - away from home last season the majority of places that we went commented that we were the best away support of the season - at least. LETS FECKIN ENJOY OUR AWAY DAYS THIS YEAR AND THE MORE OF US THAT GO IN TO SING SING MODE THE BETTER - That will never happen in TCS or the North Stand unfortunately.- We need a new announcer
I suspect that Don could be tempted back - say six Dougall and Hastie pies per game ?- The old firm fear factor
Please tell me if I am becoming overconfident but the ONLY games this season where I feel that we may struggle to get anything are the Old Filth and the Arabs away - the rest are up fer grabs. Two points from the first two games would suffice.- Roll call for Celtic game
I will be sitting in ma front room and will provide live updates in between swigs of John Smiths !! But I will me making the trek to Tannadice - the only ground in Scotland where I have been ejected from more often than the TCS.- Team for Sellic
Looks like my brief pre season, psychological interventions are bearing fruit - almost totally agree :_shocked2: Esson and Tuffey is a great choice to have - I can see Tuffey being played in the Cup games with Ryan in posssesion of the No 1 spot - and with tuffey waiting in the wings Ryan has to really strut his stuff - not shure how long that we can hold on to both of them but long may it last. Still not shure about McCann but Proctor or Tokely are cover if necessitated - will be very interesting to see what will happen when innes is avaialable again - but again this puts the onus on Rosscoe and Graanty to perform. Suspect I would play Eric as he has been getting rave reviews at games I have not seen - I would personally have really been thinking about pitching in Ross wide rite, whilst we await Foran. That may well be what TB does and favours Eric fer Gil - especially against Cellic as we are more likely going to be utilising the hoof and that is where Eric is at his most dangerous. Gil is not a wide player - i suspect that the only place where we will ever see him perform would be in the hole just off Rooney or Sutherland - i am very disappointed that we didnt try out the Rooney / Gill pairing in the pre season. I suspect that we may see that at tannadice.- Pre-Season Friendlies / Early Season Games
Well - It looks as if this thread is heading to a close and I fer one would wish to thank the Antwerp sprouts fer making the pre season banter just that little bit less boring and it would appear that they also stuck to their words and brightened up a dreary afternoon in Sneck. I fer one fink that it would be great to arrange a return game in Antwerpee where the Sesh Army and the Mob would show them the ICT Away experience - enhanced if we can use flares (and not meaning my troosers). As fer my patter - it was sarcasm and wind up and as Kenny Everett would say - it was all done in the best possible taste. Bye Bye Sprouties :_wave: :_moon:- Pre-Season Friendlies / Early Season Games
Thats put them firmly in their place . Why not show them the 1 where you lead the conga ? My link My link- Pre-Season Friendlies / Early Season Games
