  1. The way that we have been playing recently the first goal is so very important - we just have to come flying out of the blocks and grab the opener - that always seems to buoy the players and will lift the support. Hope Tel goes with a front two (not Imrie) and plays Morais and Imrie wide.
  2. Cue - plenty of "ROSSCOEEEEEEEEE" shouts - Dude: do you fancy a drive to the Well game ?
  3. The reunited MOB meets the SESH Army - feck me I'll have to go in schizophrenic mode - really looking forward to this one. And I am a karaoke star.
  4. The Glesca crew are on the march Joe - ya Highland ***** - where is the best venue to met up ? Oh - and is the Karaoke on at Brechins. GJ - are King Beastie, Nicola and co going with us ?
  5. Well - That is it in a feckin nutshell - We are four points adrift of relegation - that is what WE have to maintain. I actually believe that what we have is the desire and the committment to survive - Butcher just has to put out a settled side to do that - this is not the time to play peeple who may crack under the pressure. I would take a point at the Methadome - three against Hamilton is an absolute must - I reckon we could pinch all three at Muversmell and at least point at Killie - that would leave the Bairns game as a delightful watch. I still think that Hamilton may go down as they will find it difficult to beat Falkirk, Midden, Killie and ourselves - and that is the one game that the Well may be really up fer.
  6. Becos they would have to gat up early, bake them fresh and transport them - unless they scoff half the feckin profits.
  7. I think I have to stick up fer Don here as I am reliably informed that the club contacted a DJ agency for advice and guidance prior to making the decision - if anybody wants to hire a DJ like Caley Don they should write to: The Fat! Agency, Battersea Business Centre, Unit 36, 99-109 Lavender Hill, London, , South East SW11 5QL
  8. Are you going to the Midden game then ?
  9. Great shout Flower - Give the contract to Dougal and Stevie - supporting Sneck business and may help the two fat cnuts lose a bit of weight. :thumb04:
  10. Still think that he is just about worth the starting position at right back this season. That is deffo a position that we really need to invest in next season. Tokes should be el capitano without a shadow of a doubt. But I am really not shure of the Tokely / Munro partnership - dont think that they have the pace or the composure - it would have to be either / or with Pavels or a defender with pace. But Tokely did play quite well as a defensive midfielder at Tynie. Overall I am afraid that Rosscoe will be a utility player next season.
  11. Does Lionel have any Scottish heritage ?
  12. The problem is that we have not experienced the emotions of failure or the dreaded word - "relegation" - In that respect we are spoilt and I suppose it was inevitable that this experience would haunt us one day - I actually believe that we will survive but I also suspect that this one may go to the wire. Sorry but I have to harp back to the debacle of the former part of this season and my other concern is that we do not have a settled side, we are not on a good run and we do not have players who have experienced the nerves and the atmosphere of fighting in a real relegation battle. Again the muppets are to blame. We need a result and we need it quickly - If I was Butcher I would be putting 200% into the first two games - win them or four points and the confidence grows and the doubts diminish. And with three away games to go the SESH ARMY could seriously be our saviour - so I plead to you all to get yerself pished and we sing and sing and feckin sing fer 90 minutes at the Methadome, Muversmell and the Pie centre. Falkirk was a nightmare but I reckon that we can pick up the really valuable points away from home.
  13. At the moment I would prefer to stick to the old ciche of one game at a time - It may be other results that determine our fate this season.
  14. I suppose that I had better provide a rationale - Rosscoe had a good game but he rarely performs in the junkies back yard - Pavels and Granty provide the purrfest left/rite combination - I am getting more and more worried about Lionel. Black Kerr and McBain are all action and all with good engines - Royster would be a real asset now - and they would allow Morais to go wide with a fair degree of freedom - Rooney as I have said before could be the target man / the runner - aided by Forans experience and Foran may actually be able to play on the last man where he is more likely to show his predator instincts. I think that Butcher will favour Byrne at full back but he also has played Proctor every game and has a real penchant fer Imrie. Interesting to see that not many of us are agreeing - which at this time of the season is worrying - we should all be heralding the same team fer survival.
  15. All but Hamilton - I will be watching that on the telly - with ma kilt on and a bottle of Smirnoff
  16. What I am alluding to is that Rooney would benefit from playing with the experience of Foran and it might give Morais more freedom and space and two strikers to "serve" instead of one. Foran's form is a key to our survival but I feel that he cannot be used as a lone striker as he is more of a predator than a target man - but if you let Rooney do the donkey work ?? Who else have we got to partner Foran ?
  17. This is going to be very interesting: My Team ESSON - ROSSCOE; PAVELS; GRANTY; BYRNE - BLACK; KERR; MCBAIN - MORAIS - FORAN; ROONEY Butchers probable: ESSON - ROSSCOE; PAVELS; GRANTY; LIONEL or BYRNE - PROCTOR; BLACK; KERR; IMRIE - MORAIS - FORAN One thing fer shure - we need a big turn up from the SESH ARMY - Bring it feckin on.
  18. I actually feel a wee bit sorry fer Imrie as I feel that he has really suffered by the persistence in playing him up front - and I think that Butcher has also sussed that now - He started off with a couple of blinders but that was all becos of his harrying and persistence. His confidence has been shot in the last few weeks - he has to rediscover his berth in left midfield quickly or we are in the doo doo. Personally I would actually take back McBain as I feel that he gives us the defensive cover to allow Morais to be freer.
  19. Well I am banned from most of them - the moderators are just like they are on here - simply cant accept good bantered abuse There is a wee difference between constructive criticism / debate and negativity - this forum is all about allowing peeple to have their say - even if you dont agree with them ( the erseholes !!). If the team do their stuff on the park there wouldnt be negativity - lets face it - this season has been a feckin nightmare - lets hope we have sweet dreams soon.
  20. I am concerned that the book entitled "Brewsters recipe fer SPL survival" has been left in the managers office and Butcher has been having a wee look at it - chuck it in the feckin bin Tel boy. Bottom line is that he has inherited somebody elses team - but I reckon we would be fecked by now if Brewster had stayed - and I still suspect that Butcher was getting "tips" from the Muppets who have taken us into this situation. I dont usually sit on the fence but I cant help but wonder whether he was brave or foolhardy yesterday. That is the type of changes that you make when you are safe or in pre season. Or is it that he has finally sussed out who he can rely on or not - the next selection at the Methadome will be extremely interesting. Does he stick with Bambi at full back and does he hook Granty and leave Rosscoe with Pavels - does he play Byrne instead of Lionel - who looks extremely shaky away from home - does he go 4-4-2 and does he drop Imrie. It was very interesting how he finally put Foran up front yesterday. But does he go 4-3-1-2 - play Rooney and Foran up front with Morais in the hole - a la Binghamesque. or do we go 4-4-1-1 with Richie as the lone striker ?? Decisions decisions It looks like he is beginning to play the team around Morais and I can understand that. But the most annoying thing is that he is beginning to see his best X1 and he should have been in the job 2 months earlier - but that is history _ I am concerned that we are tinkering as I would have preferred that we go into the split with a settled side and a clear formation fer both home and away.
  21. Excellent stuff Mannie as I find maself almost agreeing - I thought that Proctor did OK and came on to a good game in the second half - Full back is his position and thank feck Butcher has clicked at long last - plus you have to feel a wee bit sorry fer Bambi as he has been played all over the place this season - and that cant be easy. Rosscoe has probably found his place fer next season when he gets more into old git territory - he was my MOM yesterday. I still feel that Granty is suffering as he has to nursemaid Lionel who as you say wasnt the worst yesterday - in fact he was one of the better ones - His positional sense is abysmal but he has recovery pace and can tackle. I agree with you that he is a better option than Hastings but Byrne may be in the wings - I still worry about him if it comes to the death. What the feck was Butcher thinking about Russeldhino - that was a big mistake. Morais is a potential match winner and Foran has to go up front - I felt a bit sorry for Imrie as he had a lone striker role but again Butcher is beginning to see sense and put Dougie back into left midfield - but I would prefer to play Vigurs or McBain in there. I thought Rooney made a bit of a difference and it looked far better with two up front. As fer the atmosphere - how are you supposed to get a support going when you are that dire - we rarely looked like troubling them and the winner took a BIG deflection.
  22. :thumb04: :018: ;) Touche - good feckin retort there Mannie - But I would need to be oxygen starved at high altitude to appreciate Lionel - apparently when I came too my first words were - Has Lionel been droppped yet ?
  23. It isnt rubbish - most fans can see it - Babysitting Lionel must be a feckin nightmare - just watch how he positions himself to try and cover potential mistakes and his own game suffers as a result - I watch the Midden game 3 times on Alba and Grant is suffering becos of Lionel - no doubt whatsoever - and I am reliably informed that Granty is getting fed up with it all.
  24. re you referring to Brewsters brain injury ?
  25. I am beginning to really worry about our SPL status - are you ? - The Hamilton game and the Bairns result are so so important - if we go 7 points clear I will breathe easier but if not - well it is skidmark time. We simply have to get it rite on Saturday and we have to go along en masse and sing our feckin lungs out - This saturday could really make or break us - BRING IT FECKIN ON.
