Latest from P&J Website...... Inverness manager Craig Brewster and director of football Graeme Bennett will work up until the close of the window at midnight to bring in new recruits. Promising young midfielder Zander Sutherland has been loaned to Third Division Elgin City until January and the club may offload another midfielder today. Bennett said: "You do not know who will become available. We are looking at both the Scottish and English markets. "We have talked to a few people in the last 24 hours and we are quite confident we will have someone in place before the deadline. "We are in discussions with a couple of clubs and we have our secretary on standby and we hope to do some business before the window closes. "We have an open mind about it. We cannot just keep taking players in, there might also be departures. Zander has gone out on loan and we have had an interest from a club in one of our players, but it depends on what we do as to whether someone goes out."

Can't help feeling we should have signed a defender or 2 long before now. Let's face it we known for months we were short of options at the back. Hopefully we'll get someone in that'll create some competition for places. What I don't want to hear is the 'we are happy with the current squad' line if the window closes and we've failed to get anyone new onboard :029:
  3. Apart from the stupid goal we gave away we looked alright. Arbroath were pretty fit for a part-time side. My take on our defensive howler was that Caff ducked (I assume someone else shouted?) and then Tokely headed the ball to there man who promptly scored? Very sloppy stuff. Watt looked good in spells and then he would do something silly just as you thought he was cruising. He won quite a few balls in the air but misjudged quite a few more. Pacy he isn't but he did spray a few good passes about. Niculae looked good. Some of his link up play was first class and the goals he scored were sweet. Barry did dive :018: Black looked more assured on the ball than of late and all in all it was a reasonably good win
  4. Dropped from the squad for the qualifiers
  5. Fraser Tokely Watt Munro A McDonald Sutherland Cowie Rankin Vigurs Niculae D McDonald Playing Niculae would do no harm for his match fitness and I'd like to see him paired with Deano up front
  6. Him and Niculae can have a 'see who runs the slowest' competition :015:
  7. Of course not but he's the man in charge so ultimately the buck stops with him. He has 34 games this season to make sure we finish 11th or above. I'm hoping he's able to manage that!! Also I think if anyone else uses the phrase "call yourself fans" they should donate money to charity. 99% of the posters on here are obviously ICT fans and just because we aren't as enamoured as some 'happy clappers' about Brewsters comeback our loyalty shouldn't be questioned :018:
  8. From BBC online today...... On Sunday, Inverness director of football Graeme Bennett said: "There were three or four different people in the frame and we spoke to a few of them. :014: Anyway Brew is back..... You've been given a second Mr Brewster - don't feck it up :023:
  9. Perhaps he'll get a game tomorrow night?

    Duncan

He (Hart) wasn't on the bench today as hasn't been for the last 3 weeks
  11. Fraser looked fine last season after Brown left. Things apprear to have changed :007: Dods has left and the whole back 4 has gone to pieces. The defence has lost confidence and so has our keeper - they seem to be at odds at one another. I don't think all the blame can be placed on the 'new' man Mcaffrey either. Munro loks like the shadow of the player he was last season. We knew Dods was leaving in January 2007 -he hasn't be replaced as of August and we are struggling :029:

    Duncan

Agreed, both were dire. Black's shooting was absolute bollox. Hart must start against Hibs. Will Hart play for ICT again?
  13. Quarantine. What with the foot and mouth scare :023:
  14. I believe 3 of those comments :014:

    Hart to leave?

Much love for Hart amongst some of the fans but he really appears to have dropped from the first team map. Will he ever play for ICT again?

    Duncan

For all those giving Duncan a hard time did you fail to notice Black was pretty ineffective today as well?
  17. In defence of McBain (and you will rarely hear that coming from me) he simply shouldn't have been playing at left back. i expected Morgan to get a game and the mere fact he was yet again left out of the squad makes me question if he should just be released?
  18. Mark Brown saved one penalty It was when we were in the 1st division. I think Roy McBain was sent off for stopping the ball on the line. My dodgy old man memory is saying Clyde/ St Johnstone. Anyway Brown saved the penalty.......and they knocked in the rebound!! D'oh :029:
  19. That's like MOTD edited highlights IHE :016: The guy has talent, no question. He isn't match fit as he's played a handful of games in 2007. People seem to be giving him a hard time because he isn't lightning quick. Was he meant to be?? He is easily our most technically gifted player unfortunately in the hurly burly of the SPl that may not count for much
  20. There were some lovely touches and link up play from Marius and he perhaps should have scored in the first half but I was reasonably impressed with him. He has zero pace, I'm not sure if ever had though, he does have a quick brain and good technique though. There was a lovely moment when he just ghosted past a United player like he wasn't there. He's not match fit. There were a couple of dives. There was some gesticulating and shaking of his head when other players made mistakes. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though as they were pretty rank errors. Saying that he did blaze a free kick well over the bar himself. I have high hopes for him. Don't think Bayne is the right partner for him up front. Dargo would have been ideal :014: Today's boots were black :004:
  21. If I were a betting man I might put a couple of quid on Arbroath to beat us :029: It could have been a different result totally if we'd taken one of our chances in the first half and we did play some lovely stuff Still not sure what happened to us in the second half. It was like half the team had been replaced by there non-football playing identical twins :007: I'll need to see the goal and the penalties again as the second award looked quiet dubious. Rank rotten defending prevailed though. Oh how I laughed as Wilkie plodded around at centre forward during the first 45 minutes then watched on in horror as he proceeded to terrorise our 2 centre backs following the break. the man has one leg and he was out running some of our lads. Caff & Munro will be having nightmares about him for weeks. The defence is a shambles I'm afraid to say.

    Defender Wanted

I thought they said at the meeting a central defender had been lined up and they were waiting for the next manager to Ok the deal?
  23. Gotta agree. If Warnock comes with 'baggage' then its safe to say Lennon does too. It was the same with McCoist last time round. Nice big name we don't have a hope in **** of getting :rolleyes02:
  24. Looking forward to seeing him action for the first time tomorrow. Hopefully he'll play well
  25. I forked out for a season ticket for me and my old man this season and live in Inverness :029: Chances are I would still have gone to games anyway though. Once ICT is in your blood it's hard to get rid of it :022: I'm very p*****d off about Brewster being back and the way it's happened. It's up to him now to prove the vast majority of us are wrong :rolleyes02:
