Merged: Pics/Vids from Saturday
Excellent videos - amazing to see how quickly the pitch was swamped!! I decided on pics and finally have my photos online, only a couple of weeks late! And as a reminder of the last time we won here are pictures of us beating St Johnstone in May 2004 and the post-match party

Adam Ready for SPL
?20m is a reference to a tongue-in-cheek remark by MC Terry after the match on Saturday!

SPL Planning
Exactly what CD said - we've got a decent squad, and (as with the 2004 squad) I think they will compete well.

Ayr Utd -V- ICT : Post-Match Thread
Was quite funny that one of the stewards was determined to stop one guy getting on the pitch - weaving around, grabbed him and shoved him back to the terrace while a hundred other fans were already on the pitch Fantastic game, result, atmosphere - and when was the last time that any team scored seven goals with seven different scorers?
-
Congratulations
Seconded - didn't honestly expect this after the Challenge Cup Final, completely the opposite!

You will bottle it
I thought that was just Dundee's early April Fool joke, no?

WTF?
Is this Avril Poisson's fault?

Ayr game on/off thread
<Admin Hat> Can I just pass on a general reminder that if there is a pitch inspection or game in doubt a lot of people will be using this site to find out the latest news. If you do have firm and reliable information about a pitch inspection or similar then please go ahead and post. If you are only going on second or third hand information that you can't be 100% sure about then please consider carefully before posting - it's frustrating for somebody to read a post saying "the pitch passed the inspection" when the inspection hasn't even taken place yet!!! We appreciate everyone's eager to know what's going on, but knowing the wrong info is worse than nothing at all </Admin Hat>

Undersoil Heating Stats
I know we only had two or three games called off at Caley Stadium in the eight or nine years before the USH was installed - Morton and Raith ring a bell. I'm not sure that both those two were even due to a frozen pitch, I think at least one was due to snow and/or weather on the A9 (having driven up all the way and run into a whiteout at Drumochter I got a call five minutes later to say game off!). And there was the New Year Derby off in 2003, when I got the call around Carrbridge after seven hours driving, but I can't remember if that was in Sneck or Dungwall. I'm pretty certain the ratio of call offs is higher since the USH went in, but that could just be down to more bad weather than before.

QOS- GAME OFF
:thumb03: Believe it or not, there is actually a newspaper by that name!

Stadium ownership
I think that's right Don - my memory might be failing me, but ISTR that DFS became "Chairman" of the club sometime in 2000 and DMcG then got a title "Chairman of Football" or similar, presumably something of a non-job and an honorary title. I think Grassa was appointed as "Director of Football" sometime around the Aberdeen Scottish Cup replay, as I'm sure I was wondering where that appointment left DMcG - and that DMcG left the club around that time.

Masterminding the downfall of Kilmarnock
Just so long as we don't do what we did 9(?) years ago, scoring in the last minute only to let Killie score almost immediately on the restart...

Re-arranged game with County?
You'll get a refund if they can't make the rearranged game. That old rule about no refunds was changed as a result of one of our games being called off years ago - can't remember if it was Celtic or Kilmarnock? Anyway, check clause 28 of the ICTFC Regulations - you have 14 days from when the rearranged match is announced to demand a refund.

Iain MacCall's rant
And McCall is such a mild-mannered and amiable gentleman that he would never do anything like that *cough* paint pot *cough* Seriously, if the linesman was doing that then McCall should be pleased, it will have saved him a job B)

New announcer dude on the park
very true - an unenviable position for him to be in.

County starting to plan for the SPL
But when we were in the First Division the minimum seats that the SPL required was 10,000 - IMO if ICT had attempted to comply with that total, and especially before promotion was assured, the club would have been bankrupted. Despite what they can be criticised for more recently, I think our board were absolutely right in the way they approached the ground expansion of 2004/5. The groundshare at Aberdeen was probably our least worst option - without it there possibly wouldn't have been a club, and no promotion.
