Is the G-word racist?
If the results continue and if this topic does spark any confrontation/arrests in the derby on sunday, i suspect that it won't be long before some long awaited proper action started against the men behind the shambles.

ICT -V- Partick Th :Matchday Thread
Georgie, munro is our best player, best defender and our best leader (maybe with the exception of roscoe). Foran so far has scored one goal and has moaned his way through every match. Just cos he's a loudmouth does not mean he would be a good captain. Foran also has no connection with the fans. Munro on the other hand is a local lad and an ict supporter. There is no contest. Back on topic. We were pish.

ICT -V- Partick Th :Matchday Thread
In regards to georgieos, foran is in no way fit to lead that team. Munro imo has been a cracking captain so far in the 1st division. Mom against the pars and defending very well in every match so far. Dunno if you noticed, you might have done as i suspect that you sit pretty close to myself, but munro was the only player berating the rest of the defence for the first goal. Foran was already half way up the park. Maybe i just hold grudges for too long, but the shift he put in up front against morton was shocking, even more so after travelling to that hellhole and spending a small fortune doing so. I seem to remember the days when every player in the caley team put in a shift no matter what, is it butcher or brewsters fault that this is no longer the case?

ICT -V- Partick Th :Matchday Thread
The scoreline at the end of the match was in no way representative of the overall performance from the team today. from the start we looked like we were going to be second to every ball, and it continued like that for the rest of the match. Even when we were just 1 goal away froma good point we didn't grab hold of the game and every de.ivery into the box was poor. The only plus from the entire game was that rooney made a big impression when he came on and hayes was at his best again. As for foran being captain, dont make me laugh. Anyone who saw his pitiful display last week would realise that every challenge he makes is a token one and he doesn't have half the leadership qualities that munro has. Moment of the match: lionel coming on to a good reception and the good old 'he's here he's there'. Then proceeding to give the ball away with his first touch.

bus to the game today
Not to mention there will also be the irn-bru bus at the game today: free wee bru's at the end of the game!

What areas need strengthening?
time for rooney to step up to the plate. he could easily replace foran up front and is a better option than barrowman.

Airdrie Utd V ICT :Matchday Thread
when andy came on he at least showed a bit of effort. Foran was getting a bit of stick from the crowd, and deservedly so. he needs to show a bit more commitment to impress anyone, he can't rely on the fact that he 'used to be an spl player'.

Airdrie Utd V ICT :Matchday Thread
Really believed going into this one we would just sweep airdrie aside. Beating Morton away seemed proof enough that we could dispatch of the smaller teams, even with a long distance away day. Airdrie were the better team throughout. We just about created two chances the entire game, one which we scored. They simply passed us and outfought us off the park. The short passing game, and trying to keep possession no matter what, these tactics disappeared. Foran has to be dropped. Even if he was the best player in division one, anyone who clearly cannot be bothered should be punted as soon as. For him to put on a show like that for the 150/200ish fans who turned up and travelled a 350 mile round trip to see the team is disrespectful. His entire performance consisted of him half-attempting to get onto a pass, not chasing the ball once he had been dispossessed, then turning round and finding someone to gesture and moan at. Time for rooney/barrowman to step up.

Airdrie Roll Call

Morton -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Happy with the 3 points, after a much improved performance. Not spectacular but steady. Golly looked good at left back, perhaps his movement out of defence could do with some tweaking as could his passes from the back (seem the remember 2 or 3 just going straight out of the stadium). Bulvitis was a big plus for me, looked calm, strong and composed for most of the match. Munro and Roscoe has their usual rock solid performances. Eagles had a slightly better game, he was just out of touch in a few instances, and perhaps not quite blended in with the rest of the team as of yet (see golly running full pelt and making a great run into the box on the angle, only for the ball to be played over the top and to the back post). Cox was efficient, although the referee meant he couldn't unleash any hard challenges. Stratford was very good, in my eyes a contender for M.O.M, playing almost like a second Dani Sanchez when he gets forward, and was unlucky not to score a tremendous bending free-kick. Hayes takes my M.O.M, created two of the goals and was excellent at taking his man on and beating him. Several occasions in the first half he played in a perfect ball to the edge of the 6-yard box but no-one had made a run. Seems to have boundless energy, and 'fight for the cause'. Up front, Foran and Sanchez were working well together again, little balls in and around the box almost coming off. Sanchez really seems to have found his form, he does extremely well to drop off so many times from the defenders and win the high balls. Foran was impeccable, but does seem to perhaps have a problem with the fans (??), the only one there not to recognise the around 150-200 who had made the journey. Maybe I missed it.

Alba Cup Semi Draw
Poor draw, any form of cup competition never seems to pull in a decent crowd. Maybe county may be different but i doubt it. Then again dundee in the final would be great.

Managerial Stats
still say charlie christie is/was a good manager. remember the football being really good when he took over (it was after brewster though).

Unattached Players?
while on the subject of mindlessly listing players we'd 'quite like' how about patrick deane of Hibs? from what i have heard a decent young player.

Hastings Gone & Golly Back
zadi ain't that bad. looking at him against dundee and away to dunfermline, he was cracking. taking players on and beating them, having the pace and confidence to track back and shephard the ball out, it was like having roscoe back on the pitch. however whether he still has the confidence to do that remains to be seen after saturday. bearing in mind butcher has been slowly and carefully building him up over the last few months, the fans on saturday might affect him. and looking at the league games, we lost 2 league goals in 3 games (both to the favourites) before the county game.

Hastings Gone & Golly Back
Golabek was a terrific player in his day, dunnowhether he still has it or not, but letting hastings go seems a little shady. Should still get his tesimonial, shocked that he went to an 'spl' club anyways.

Get a Grip!
oh by all means. just don't believe the spin, don't jump on the bandwagon and don't over-react to a poor performance. and i am sure you don't
-
Get a Grip!
the whole forum never ceases to baffle me. Thats not even taking into account renegade. the worst thing is that quite a few don't bother to make the effort to watch the team perform then feel its alright to sit back and criticise the clubs every movement. anyone who saw the game at dundee would agree that we are a good team with at least half a chance of winning the league.
-
Drop zadi now!
lionel is a legend. just not yesterday.
-
Disappointed in Butcher?.
what a difference a week makes. if we beat partick next week everything will be rosy again. the performance was bad, but the players know it and butcher knows it. they only need to read this forum for 2 minutes to see how much it mattered yesterday (not that you could tell with the majority of fans). the whole brewster saga seems to have given some 'fans' on here the frame of mind that if ict don't stroll through every match then someone is to blame. Perhaps beaten by a team better on the day? no of course not, its butchers fault, lionels fault, sanchez's fault, the fans fault, referee's fault, grantie's fault, everyones fault.

ICT v COUNTY : Matchday Thread
once again butcher comes out and says the right thing. is he going to do anything about the clear problems we have or just tell the press? methinks he has been learning a few things from burley. i might be a little harsh though, and a week makes a massive difference in the first division. only hope that today was the huge kick up the erse that the players need. most of the fans knew that county weren't going to come and lie down, the players and management seemed to take the 3 points for granted from the off.

ICT v COUNTY : Matchday Thread
Pathetic. I would go as far as saying it was one of the worst games i have ever seen an ICT play in. No passion, no fight. I would maybe give pass marks to Jonny Hayes, possibly Bulvitis. Judging on that we are not going to get anywhere near promotion this year. We can always improve but if we don't have the bottle for the big occasion then we will not win the big games. the most worrying thing for me is that fact that Butcher always manages to say the right things, but is he actually backing these PR staements up??? In no way were any of the newbies ready for any derby. It made me embarrassed to admit that I will be paying probably round ?50 watching them away to partick next week. Makes me embarrassed to say I ever thought we were going to win the league. Of course this can all change in a week. But that was utter sh*te. If i have to give marks, Lionel would come a firm 0.2 The first time in a long tim a player has been booed in ict colours by ict fans during the match. Pathetic. Sanchez never looked like doing anything. Lightweight. Munro. Captain??? He looked like he didn't want the ball. Cox. Not his usual self. Poor on the ball and worse off it. Foran? You believe that '20 goals a season' crap? You really wouldn't watching him today. Anyway, on to partick.....

ICT Financial Accounts-YE 31/05/09
Not saying that they should 'bail out the compnay's finances'. Simply that there should be a bit more investment in other aspects of the club, youth, merchandise, equipment etc etc.

whats the real inside scoop then?

ICT Financial Accounts-YE 31/05/09
so the debt has been passed over to another company. who owns the other 50% then? is it sutherland?

ICT Financial Accounts-YE 31/05/09
it would be good to have some money made available for transfers, in no way do i expect this to happen, and it is most football fans biggest gripe. however i in no way want the club to be financially reliant on its shareholders/directors, but perhaps a little money towards improving the youth system, merchandise, facilties, training equipment etc? this wouldn't go towards the running costs, and wouldn't make the club reliant on anyone. just a dream anyways..... caleyd, i haven't heard this story about how the debt disappeared, could you shed some light on the issue?
