Well if what your thinking is right Don then Duff will be an ICT player by the end of tomorrow. :tonguecheek:
  2. It was like he never left :tonguecheek: If he carries on the way he has being playing he will finish strongly in the season.
  3. Wilson vs Dunfermline as well. even Grant Munro vs Celtic, that was a cracker. Lee Cox scored a peach vs the pars on the opening day, now everytime he shoots it is high and wide. Dani Sanchez is too scared to have a ping but everytime he does he always gets it on target from distance. It's walking it into the net that he struggles with. It is a problem but i doubt there really is anyone in our team that has a real strike on them from outside the box, though you never know unless you try.
  4. I'am worried that this aint the last thing our board will do to unravel us. Really sorry to read this CaleyD. For what it's worth i think the board has been very petty and rather cowardly in their approach towards it. And i do hope that one way or another that you get back out on the touchline and do your thing.
  5. i thought it had maybe taken a slight deflection to go in which is why Esson may have been caught flat footed. Anyone who abuses him needs to have a word with themselves. He has been outstanding this season and the save he made in the 2nd half emphasised that.

He missed and yes he does pass up good chances but his overall play for makes him a favourite in my starting line up. Going forward he was a menace and even drew a stunning save from Tuffey.

It wouldn't suprise me if Imrie is being sold to free up some cash to bring Duff in.
  8. Fantastic game and it was great to see us get one over Partick at last. Corcaran's goal was well taken but we had been the better side building up to that. Hayes goal all came from an Esson misshit up the field which Richie Foran flicked on and Johnny pounced to fire in. 2nd half was even better. We continued to push but Esson made a great save from Buchanan and then the wee tubby fluffed up his next shot. Only worrying defensive factor throughout was Lionel. Partick tended to make life difficult for him but for the last 20 minutes he eventually bucked up and improved. After that it was all us. Sanchez had miss of the season when Rooney cut him in. Rooneys penalty was well saved and he also missed a shot before he got his 2nd. Not sure if the 2nd one was outside the box or not but it was a definite red card. Overall very very pleased. We dug deep and found the nerve to beat a team above us for the first time. This has to get bulit on now.

Please be true...would like us to maybe get one more player before market ends.
  15. My favourite ref... :D He always gives us good decisions.

We have 2 players that can play in his position and play better. I think his problem is his severe lack of pace. It almost gives him an inability to run at defenders. I know he is young and all but i'm really not convinced his is up to it.

Proctor, Foran, Odhiambo. He did his best to keep Morais and Kerr as well. Thats what i was referring too. Djebi-Zadi was ok to keep and McBain should be used more.

Probably of the same standard as Eagle, and Stratford... I'm a bit surprised by the persistent cynicism. Surely Butcher's signing record isn't significantly worse than those of any of the previous managers, and arguably, he's been working in more difficult circumstances. Eagle and Stratford haven't worked out; Hayes and Foran have; Bulvitis has played well over the past two or three months after finding his feet and Sanchez seems to divide the support (for what it's worth, I think he's been effective playing behind Rooney and has the potential to improve further, despite his profligacy in front of goal). So that's at least a 50% success record in the transfer market: not brilliant, but probably quite typical of most football managers. I'm as concerned as anyone about the future of the club, but I don't think we can lay much blame at Terry Butcher's door: any manager takes time to rebuild a team and there's been plenty of evidence that he's started to do that over the past few games. Not knocking Butcher's signings in paticular. Brewster was worse. He brought in many trialists and i think the only one he signed was Lionel. I'm more concerned about the fact that we will pay for them to come over for a trial and they will be bull. Tel found some gems and some real duds but i'm not convinced we have the money to get players in. Players HAVE to go first.

We were a goal-line away from staying up, thats how close he got us. He put some confidence back in the team but unfortunately it wasn't enough. On a tight budget he did very well to secure most of our squad on new deals which i think is a credit to him. Cox, Sanchez, Hayes and Bulvitis also have proved very astute signings in the transfer market. As it says in recent weeks we have really started to look like more of a team and i can only hope it stays like that for the rest of the season, i seriously doubt we will win the league but if we can prop ourselves up a few places Terry can be relatively pleased with his achievments.
  20. If we had been relegated with even a few of those players in the team i think our prospects would look ever so slightly more rosy.

I wonder what a daily routine consists of for a Caley Thistle board member because i bet it has nothing to do with even stepping foot inside the Stadium.

Says in the courier Butcher hopes to bring in a few trialists this week. Who knows what gems he will find. :004:

I got this i think and as it stands Rooney, Duncan, Barrowman and Munro have expiring contracts at the end of next season. Foran, Zadi, McBain, Odhiambo and Proctor signed 1 year deals when retained and they are up in July. Stratford, Hayes, Sanchez, Cox, Eagle, and Golabek all joined on 1 year deals in the summer, also up in July. Esson and Imrie joined on 2 year deals which finish this summer. Tokely signed a 2 year extension which finishes at the end of the season as well. Allison, Ross and Shinnie i think may be on amateur terms right now. Butcher and Malpas have deals finishing in July as well. So there you have it. 4 out of 21 secure for next season. Really 3 as i'm guessing we are trying to get shot of Barrowman, even the managment team are insecure. It isn't rocket science, it is common sense. Get some sort of package in place and get the long term future of this club sorted!
  24. Both could do a job me thinks. Chibber is right, Denzil wpuld make a decent attacking mid now. He is also experienced. Mo Camara wouldnt be a bad aquisition either.
  25. AJS replied to Kingsmills's topic in Caley Thistle
if true yes. I'm also being realisitic. Though i hope i'm proved wrong.
