  1. Not a great match but i ain't complaining, this was always going to be hard and at the end of the day we have kept a clean sheet against one of the most tricky sides in the league. First half was drivvel but i thought the introduction of Eagle made a difference as he was unlucky not too score, that shot was a fizzer crashing of the post. Sanchez should have been introduced much earlier and Odi struggled to get into the game at any point. Best player was Duncan, defensively didn't put a foot wrong and did his best to start attacks. Esson also gets a thumbs up for some great goalkeeping ...and as usual, Barrowman didn't look like scoring. :( Dosen't matter who he plays for.
  2. This league will be even more competitive next season if Dundee aren't in it.
  3. Foran hands down. He brings so much to the team both attacking and defensively, he could probably play anywhere across the park and he is a leader and a battler. From what i hear he was much missed on Saturday and i think he will be a big miss for the County game. IMO our Irish trio are our most important players in the team.
  4. Coming away from that made me feel quite assured that we have some very promising talent in our ranks. Playing Sanchez was a mistake as he has now got this injury. He wasn't needed for this game.
  5. Think the County game would be a tad unfair to throw Nick into. Esson Tokely, Bulvitis, Munro, Golabek Cox, Duncan Hayes, Sanchez, Odhiambo Rooney Subs: Allison, Proctor, Ross, McBain, Stratford
  6. I used to support a big team...their called Liverpool. :P

    Foran out.

McBain, Sanchez, Hayes for me. I think Roy would be good becuase he has defensive qualities as well as attacking ones.
  8. Dislike them both with a passion.
  9. Another day and another hat trick for Adam Rooney. Pen was well taken and the other 2 strikes where immense. Our Irish trio cause Queens all kinds of problems all night. Eric, Coxy and Russeldinho also get my praise and Esson for that awesome save in the first half. Queens still look a neat side but just didn't seem up for it for whatever reason. I agree that the desire and work rate was there for all to see and if we replicate that for the rest of the season we will finish well. Oh yeah, the tannoy and the ref :)
  10. The queues are often long and spread out. Makes it a real test of endeavour and effort just to get to the toilet and take a freakin leak! And agree with Dornoch that they shut too early and are overpriced, they also tend to run out of stuff quickly.
  11. Good luck to him - he certainly will have his work cut out.
  12. As a Caley fan i often dread this time of year. Can see this one being the worst though.
  13. Thrown it away against Dundee yet again. Would have taken a well fought point but not one that saw us throw a 2 goal lead away. 2 points out of a potential 6, must beat Queens now.
  14. I sure hope the players don't see it as a big game because we have flopped in almost every big game this season. In my opinion, winning tomorrow is not a must but as Manny says not losing is alot more important.
  15. He must be starting to consider his future now surely.
  16. Would love to see a 16 league team, would seriously freshen things up and would simply make things a bit more intresting but i just don't see anything like this materialising. Reason being that people who are in charge of making it happen lack the ambition to do so.
  17. Esson Tokely, Bulvitis, Munro, Golabek Cox, Duncan Hayes, Sanchez, Foran Rooney Subs: Allison, Proctor, McBain, Stratford, Odhiambo
  18. Out of all those out of contract i'd like us to keep Hayes, Foran, Esson, Tokely, Proctor, Sanchez, Cox and mayb'e Odhiambo. Would love to try and keep Bulvitis as well. Would use Allison, Ross, Shinnie, Morrison and Sutherland as cover. With Munro, Duncan and Rooney already here that gives us a squad of 17 players to work from, it involves younger players and also frees up space to bring in some new players as well. I would be happy for us to only make 3, at a push 4 signings, so long as this squad stays as intact as possible.
  19. Phase one complete. Now we got to get the squad sorted out on new deals as well. Well done to the board for getting it sorted, nice to see the them finally taking some initiative.
  20. If Butcher stays then it will provide the appropriate catalyst to get the better players of this team to stay, thus restoring some stability to the club. His dealings overall in the transfer market have been good and hopefully a season in the 1st Division will have made him spot one or two gems at the lesser clubs. 3rd point is that our form has been overall fairly top notch. Saturday was a blip but we have seen so many games like that where we come away with nothing. Its a regardless of where we finish for me.
  21. Bulvitis gets 5, he was best player imo. Foran gets 3 for working his socks off for the full 90. Munro gets the solitary for his piece of trickery at the end
  22. Esson Tokely, Bulvitis, Munro, McBain Cox, Duncan Hayes, Sanchez, Foran Rooney Subs: Allison, Proctor, Stratford, Ross, Odhiambo

    Sanchez

His touch, vision and his passing are excellent...but his decision making is absolutely woeful, which also makes his finishing poor at times. He got heavy stick for trying to thread Rooney through instead of taking a swing on his left peg which he should have done. Though imo i think we lost a bit of flare when he was substituted as he was starting to shoot and play well. I think he is an important player for us and does make a good contribution but if he can improve his finishing then i think he would be even more of a key player in the starting line up. He's an inconsistent talent but i still think he has an important role to play for us.
  24. To score a last minute pen is one thing but to score it in style is the makings of a quality player...well done Rooney!
  25. I'am still baffled as to how WE didn't win this game. We threw away those 2 goals with the worst defending i've seen in months. Though strangely enough i thought Bulvitis was very good today and unlucky not to prevent the 1st. Credit to us we got the goal back and then levelled but threw numerous chances that i will never understand how we missed. But they got lucky again taking yet another rare chance in the game. Never a penalty but i don't give a monkeys. Rooney hit it so sweetly. And whats with the albino look Johnny?
