    Phew.
  2. Football is such a cruel game sometimes.
  3. Souness ruled himself out, he has been out of the game too long anyway imo, though his kind of record is what we need. Woudn't object to Walter coming back at all either and Craig Levein may be a good choice but i don't see him leaving Dundee United. Ex internationals like McAllister or McCoist would be intresting though they may be too much of a gamble. Wonder if Christian Dailly is intrested in the job.
  4. Now thats an unhappy football fan.
  5. Me plus + 8. Getting the bus down, looking forward to it.
  6. It was Vito Mannone. He is their 3rd choice atm. He had been on loan at lower league English teams and after we sold Mark Brown we looked at getting him in but only as cover for Fraser so the deal never happened, we brought back Ridgers instead.
  7. Give another 5 years and we will be back at the top i'd say, unless administration gets us.
  8. Craig Levein is bookmakers favourite to be next. Pleased that Butcher can concentrate a bit more on us now. It was always going to end like this for George. Wonder if Kris Boyd will now withdraw himself out of international retirement. :oops01:
  9. Funny i was thinking that earlier today, if Burley goes it is curtains for Butcher in the national set up. That will be a good thing for us meaning he will be able to concentrate more on his REAL job.
  10. Not a spectacular game but we were well in control of it. Imrie was terrible but made a good run and through ball to Sanchez for the opener. Hayes and Odhiambo came on and both steaked a claim for a place in the side. Odi's goal was well taken and probably the best moment of the game. Hayes put in a couple of dangerous crosses one of which Foran should have buried with a free header. Airdrie tryed to keep it tight but caved right on half time and had it not been for our poor finishing and Stephen Robertson's shot stopping it would have been more.

Wether he should go or not the fact is he probably will go at the end of the season because he won't get his contract renewed and we won't get promoted. This will result in more cost cutting and more changes. Don't mean to be on a downer but i really don't think we were ever going to get straight back up, i'm sure i'm not the only one that thinks this. Getting relegated has set our squad and financial stability back quite a bit and what will happen is this wanna be fairytale season will end and the serious rebuilding will begin. And i agree, a long term manager is needed. And one that is 100% commited to us and not other masters.
  12. Very sad. R.I.P
  13. 4th. Dundee to win and Partick and QoS to finish above us.
  14. Sanchez is a good player but unfortunately he has struggled in the derby games. Not doubting his quality however but if he toughened up a bit he would be a much more effective and consistent. No one played well on Saturday, end of. And Butcher's rant is totally acceptable imo. But most of the times he is away on this Champions league thing we lose the following game.
  15. I reckon Dargo would have stayed if he was offered a reasonable deal. He was offered the most expensive contract the club had ever offered. He wanted back down to the central belt, like most players that come up here.
  16. When the club decided to stop pursuing new managers and chose the cheap option of bringing back Brewster. Who then got rid of capable players such as Bayne, Wyness, Rankin, Wilson and brought in dead beat like Zadi, Barrowman and McGuire. Then our board failed to see where the club was going and left it too little, too late to save us from the pitfall of relegation which has resulted in us losing our most influential players and being forced to replace them with misfits, nomads and lightweights who have no idea how to play Scottish football.

Would take Odhiambo before Barrowman any day. Fact is he just isn't going to get us goals. Odi may not get many either but he is faster and has more of an effort in him.
  18. Esson Cox, Tokely, Munro, Golabek Hayes, Duncan, Imrie Sanchez, Foran Rooney subs: Allison, Bulvitis, Ross, Odhiambo, Barrowman
  19. Deeply dissapointing at the lack of hunger shown by the team compared to County, you could see how much it meant to them. Not going to slag of any individuals as everyone was terrible, apart from Hayes when he came on and Esson who had no chance with either goal. We lack character, experience and at times just basic talent. This was a big game for us today and we have failed drastically. Is this an indication of what every big game we have is going to be like? I sincerely hope not.

Yes. We will go above County, we will start to close the gap at the top, it will give us a boost mentally, and it will continue a great run we are on.

That was why i wanted to get this seasons one as last seasons is a tad redundant now. I asked in the shop just over a month ago and they said there should be one but i'am yet to see one in either of the papers or in the matchday programmes.

Pritty much every team has one at the start of the season but i'am yet to see one for us. Is there a reason behind this? Is it a cost cutting thing?

Did he not leave because he didn't get the manager or assistant managers job? I think Hughes recommended him and elvis as his replacement. McCann and Jack McNamara went for the job of joint manager i think but were overlooked in favour of Eddie May. McCann started critcising May's methods and promptly left.

Don't see Eagle or Stratford getting back in the team but i doubt we could or would flog them. We our stuck with Barrowman due to him being an overpayed underperformer, so all we can do is hope he starts scoring his open goals.
