  1. At the risk of being a pedant...............
  2. Sorted replied to Sonam's topic in Caley Thistle
Have never supported a campaign for any manager to be beheaded. Think it's as degrading now as it was in the past. What I will say is that the only people who **** me off more than those who constantly talk things down are the 'happy clappies' who (like the Rangers fans who think that shouting 'We Are The People' will somehow save their club) refuse or are unable to consider that all is not well and that TB and Co are beyond criticism. TM4TJ has got it right for me. Probably repeating myself but...............TB is spending a significant wage on a keeper who won't play and wasn't needed. His choice. Why? TB chose to let Grant Munro go despite the fact that left sided centre backs with his experience (and on his wages) are impossible to find. He has also failed to replace him. Why? (we still haven't had an answer!) TB has Gary MacKay Steven at our club and didn't see a player. This is astounding. Instead he has spent our money on poorer players from the lower reaches of the English (non) leagues. Why? Just some of the points I think are legitimate questions to be asked. The don't have to be answered but will always be legitimate. And Gringo, OTJ will never be fit. Period. That's why he is up here.
  3. And still, it goes on..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17262725
  4. I want County up. The more that the SPL mafia have to travel north the better. Forget OF games, best games by far will be the derbies!
  5. That's three squeezed together for impact IHE?
  6. List has been (allegedly) leaked on twitter. If true, it includes Alexander, McCulloch, Wallace, Papac, Healy, Wylde, Bocanegro, Aluko and Little amongst others.Supposed to be getting told tomorrow at training in Milngavie.
  7. Guys why would you expect any for of balance on channels made for and paid for by OF fans? Of course they are only going to see the game one way! That said, the clip was different class. Cheers Luke!
  8. Your story regarding Caldwell is typical of the attempts to justify mediocrity and a clear example of why players are the problem not the solution. Caldwell could quite easily have come out and said: 'Despite the fact that others in the club are being paid a ridiculous amount of money that is ludicrous, I am more than happy to continue my career on a mere £400k plus bonuses. Perhaps others within the game may chose to follow my example.' He didn't. He, like the rest of them, demanded obscene money and justified (as you are doing) by saying it is the same as everyone else. Until a player of intelligence and stature has the gumption to come out make a stance our game will continue in the same manner. Sad. Equally, as long as intelligent supporters like you seek excuses for players behaviour we are doomed. There was (and rightly so) a public clamour for bankers to be denied bonuses which led to Stephen Hester refusing in excess of a £1m. I see little difference in the behaviour of fat cat bankers and fat cat footballers. In the vast majority of cases they are delivering a sub standard product and lining their own pockets at the expense of the masses. Equally, in both cases, they have apologists. I am not one. What your post also highlights is how incorrect I was in stating that average players can earn in excess of £500 kpa. Caldwell earned in excess of £1 million if you are correct!
  9. Players are the principle culprits. Greed has gone beyond belief and the money within the game now remains within control of a chosen few. When you here stories about how much the European Cup finalists of the 60s, 70s and 80s were earning in comparison to the average person it shows you clearly just how obscene our game has become nowadays. Run of the mill footballers who will achieve little in the game can easily earn in excess of £500 kpa. Could only stop when we stop going and, more importantly, stop buying TV packages and merchandising. That won't happen. Could only stop when the players say they are willing to, collectively, cap their earnings in return for investment in grass roots football. That won't happen. Will only stop when the elite have total domination, the others run on a hobby basis and it becomes the pastime of the chosen few. This is happening now. Jumpers for goalposts anyone?
  10. I don't want to stand as age is creeping up on me. I also have bad memories of guys who refused to use toilets. Count me out.
  11. Scotty is right. Understand it was cash upfront!
  12. Andy Barrowman - Krypton
  13. How did I miss it? Hang on, I'll check with BBC news....nope, not there? Sky? Not there either. Can't seem to find anywhere that the outcome of the case was announced. Ah, it must be trial-by-internet-forum. Much more reliable. What have you missed? Have you missed the detailed reporting of the facts? Have you missed the admission by the club that they have used EBTs? Have you missed the statement by HMRC that they view this as illegal and will pursue all those who have operated in this manner to court? Oh..........I see where you're coming from. You are choosing the path that until a court of law finds Rangers guilty you think every thing in the garden in rosy and the consequences/repercussions of their guilt should not be discussed until the legal process is concluded. Assume this is for fear of compromising the integrity of the process? And for the record, Adolf Hitler (despite his failure to appear in court) was guilty. You okay with this or should we not be allowed to discuss or have an opinion due to his failure to have legal closure? Rangers are guilty. The degree of guilt is all that has to be established.
  14. Every honour that was stolen from Scottish football during the Murray regime should be stripped from Rangers immediately. Unlike Fred Goodwin (long story on another thread ) who had his decisions ratified by a board, regulatory authority and financial ombudsman, David Murray took decisions as the boss and owner. He and he alone is culpable for this diabolical situation. The bag of weasels, nest of vipers etc passed, so graciously, to the ultimate asset stripper for £1 was built and created by Sir David Murray (let's see how long he keeps his title for a crime much greater than Fred's? Oh but hold on..........he's a huge donor to the Conservative Party and hates the Nats so.......). The use of EBT as a means of financial gain allowed Murray to spent way beyond Rangers means in buying and funding players they could not afford. This is cheating and illegal. Are we seriously to believe that one of the most able and successful businessmen that our country has produced didn't know exactly what he was doing, why he was doing it and when? Don't be so naive. Rangers won titles and trophies whilst operating to different rules from the rest of those in the competition. They have been caught and now need punished. Happens in sport throughout the world and must happen in Scotland now. If no action is taken this will be a carte blanche to continue. As for Craig Whyte...............his plans are moving on exactly as scheduled...........liquidation may be next but who cares............he owns all the assets, has preferential status (has probably used the Ticketus money to pay back his debt write down to Lloyds already!) and will sit back and wait for the 'Rangers cannae die' brigade to come and pay him vast sums of money to secure Ibrox, Murray Park and the rest. He will make a packet. Last theory.........is it beyond it to believe (as has been suggested to me by someone, allegedly, in the know) that once the dust has settled, Craig Whyte's cup runneth over, that a percentage of the net gain is to be split with Mr Murray? ??????
  15. Top man. A solution would be welcomed by a lot of punters everywhere. Appreciate we disagree at times (and probably will continue to!) but have never and will never doubt your commitment to the cause!

Come on KB.........if Dundee Utd can have an Inspiral Carpets tune that everyone knows the words to surely we can manage something? Inverness, Inverness The night life's crap and the town's a mess So get your thermals on and your best stay pressed Your gonna get tanked in Inverness As the great Bamber Gascoigne said........starter for ten!
  17. Thank you C (note I have removed your title for previous misbehaviour !)
  18. Agree entirely with Dougal. Why do people choose to be so naive? No one can seriously believe that an ex England or Rangers captain would refuse either of the jobs because he's managing ICT. Why would you try to convince yourself this is a remote possibility? What's more worrying is that I am engaging in a thread that suggests he is even on the radar............ 'The English FA announce that Terry Butcher (former Inverness, Brentford, Motherwell, Sunderland, Sydney and Coventry manager) is to replace Fabio Capello (former Real Madrid (twice), AC Milan, Juventus and Roma manager) as the new national head coach. We had to work really hard to persuade Terry to give up his hugely successful career in Inverness (average home crowd 3240). Maurice Malpas will be his assistant and Tommy Cummings will now look after Wembley Stadium" Note to editors: Terry's managerial honours are: Scootish Football League runners up 2005 and Scottish First ~Division Champions 2010. Fabio Cappello has won the Champions League, 8 Seria A titles, 2 La Liga titles, 4 Italian FA Cups, 1 Italian Supercup and 1 UEFA Supercup. Runners up don't count for Fabio. Terry has as much chance of being the next England manager as me or Mike Basset!!
  19. Drugs are evil and the Potteries..........well.....enough said. Understand 'Arry dead keen to take the Euros but only if they are of small denominations and used..............here all week!
  20. Fully accept the ridiculous situation where some are chastised and others aren't. Joke. But if you carry on with this approach GJ, suggest you won't be seeing much of the team in the future! Bit OTT?
  21. Change the colour of hair to grey and Dils Hendry looks exactly the same today!
  22. Barking up the wrong tree. The chant of -'There's Only One Ryan Christie' is somewhat misleading. There are, are you would expect many more than one. Although probably a fair bit younger, this one looks old enough to be Charlie's Dad!
  23. The $64 million question? Is it our very own Craig Whyte? Is it the new Vladamir Romanov? Could we have our very own Roman Abramovich? The options are endless........ Rather than (as usual) having a quiet wee pop at those who are actually involved in the club surely we should be seeking answers from those who want to be involved in the club? Whether we like all that has happened to date or not, the fact remains that all of those involved in the running of our club since inception have taken us from league entry to the SPL within 10 years where we have remained for all but one season. Appreciate not everything in the garden is rosy but for me, it's far from shabby! Lessons should be learned from the experiences of Hearts and Rangers. So who are Muirfield Mills and what are their commitments? If I have missed the announcement I apologise.
  24. In the current climate any commitment is welcomed. Cheers to Orion
  25. Got sent this text yesterday: Rangers FC Press Release: Fans are reminded that the deadline for renewing season tickets for 20-17-18 is midday tomorrow. Please ensure you have made the necessary arrangements in advance Had a good chuckle.....
