  1. Sorry, but to say the members club should have fought harder is out of order. The members club were given no option but to surrender by the dear Mr Sutherland. Either the MC goes or no new money comes in. YES just another idle threat to get the "old guard" out of the way so he didn't have too many questions being asked. Alos please don't forget his promise to transfer Tulloch's shares (after 5 years) to the Supporters Trust - aye - that will be right! :(
  2. and a rather belated Happy New Year! Caleyboy do you remember the score of the IHS versus IRA senior football teams at the High School grounds in 1969? Giday Roarer - Sorry but you have me there. Can't remember getting beat tho!
  3. :blah01: Na, not entirely won over but you have to give the man some credit... we asked for a responce and he's given one. There are still a lot of unanswered questions but unless he is bare faced lying (always a possibility)... 2 very important facts to pick out from his statement: 1) There is no debt 2) There is money in the bank Yeh There is no debt because we have no assets The money in the bank is to pay MK
  4. Interesting, he says he has invested ?5m of his own money with no return! :blah01:
  5. If he did, I wouldn't be surprised if a certain individual arranged for some CaleyD treatment - namely his P45!
  6. I don't think u are far off the mark Yngwie
  7. A nice gesture by the ST but yet again the club looks second rate having to accept donations for what should be a normal expense. IMO the ST should receive shares for any money given to the club. BTW did the ST ever receive the shares the builder promised to transfer to them?
  8. He's back and is playing against PT. Good on ya boys - we must have found some money!
  9. Why invest ina business that doesn't make any money? ONLY if there is an ultimate return!!!! Sutherland/Tullochs do not throw money away.
  10. It can't be this, because it closes at 5pm on Monday and i know this because i watch Sky Sports News every night as part of my nightly routine and they have advertised their programme for the whole of that day until 5pm. As far as I'm aware, the SFA will accept registrations up to midnight Monday.
  11. As far as I'm aware the position is still the same Scotty but all applications need board approval. Just imagine if McGil or Coff wanted to splash the cash - Hell would freeze over!
  12. When were our shares repriced to ?2.50 a pop Alex? The last I heard Sutherland had them at 60p but that was many many years ago. From memory, face vaue is ?1. Good idea tho and why not be able to buy them over 10 months at a tenner a month?
  13. I really don't see this lot investing CaleyD as I don't think they want to see us continue full-time. I think there is a hidden agenda here and yes, it would scare me also if the builder and his cronies dug deep but I don't see it. HELP someone out there - we really are a club worth developing!
  14. Our raw material is FOOTBALL and our board of directors are responsible for the provision of funds to conduct our day to day business. I suppose some could argue that they are doing just that but I for one do not take any pleasure in the fact that one day we are an established prem league team (not club) and the next a mid table 1st Div side. Some questions: 1: Can the Club support (financially and structurally) Prem Div football in Inverness and compete at a level we were until recenly quite capable of doing? 2: If our Club has insufficient funds to enable our Manager to structure a side capable of returning to the Prem Div what actions are they taking to attract substantial further investment in order that he may do so? 3: Do our directors see our immediate and longer term future as a part-time lower league outfit and fund the business accordingly? I could go on and on but unless I'm reading the book the wrong way round, I feel you will get a positive answer to the third option. We only have until midnight on Monday to get an answer.
  15. I think this may be quite simple. Only ourselves and Ross County have a DoF. At every other club the manager deals with all player situations. Having said that, Ross County seem to follow the right road - so maybe, just maybe, it's just the way we do it - or don't do it. :( :D Unless we can get fresh investment into the club, seriously review each and EVERY board member and quickly get our fingers out, we will be sitting in the SECOND Division! Point 1. Many clubs have DoF. Bear in mind we dont actually have managers. We have Head Coaches. Point 2. Ross County have the luxury of some recent investment Point 3. The 'Board' are made up of people deemed to be the best people to run the club. They are not the people with the money to help the club. There is every chance the board are doing the best they can but just don't have the investment to do better. Point 1: I really would like you to tell me which other 1st Div teams and for that matter Prem Div teams have a DoF? Point 2: Our board is made up of people who Sutherland knows will not rock his boat and a number have substantial funds which they have NOT invested in the business they are running (ICT). The time for change is NOW, before we drift further away from the top flight. It is unlikely that we will attract the investment needed as long as Sutherland has control. Do we all now see the problem?

  17. We seem to be more interested in the Rod Stewart concert!!!
  18. Not the worst idea I've ever heard... :024: It seems only now that some people are beginning to see through what our "saviour" did when he ousted the "old guard" and became so popular. Let's not forget who brokered the deal - none other than Doug McGil's right hand man - Ken Thomson! (Better to know who your enemies really are). Has the bubble now burst? Will our beloved club survive long term? We should be OK tho, a current director once quoted "Mr Sutherland is doing this for the love of football". I will leave you all to make your own minds up about the reasons and who actually "loves football". .......................forget all that right now - now is the time to Believe. Butcher will LAUGH in the face of adversity and take us back to the SPL. BELIEVE. I really do hope so but we need to be a Prem League CLUB not just a Prem League TEAM!
  19. The little round blue one that used to play the Harry Lime theme? Classic!!! The guy who used to visit the Dalneigh streets on the "Ice Cream Bike" and Salvadori's in Greig St.
  20. MONEY - or should I say the LACK of it!

  22. See our former squad/reserve player Tom Parratt is still with Airdrie and playing against us today.
  23. A couple of rugby players? Edit to add : Perhaps they just got the urge for some rucking practice. Indeed, in view of my comment about a predominantly male clientele, I should perhaps have confirmed that the couple in question was in fact heterosexual. I still see the lady in question (who was totally oblivious to my presence) about Inverness from time to time. (It was not necessary to seek counselling.) I bet you have a little chuckle to yourself every time you see her Charles
  24. Maybe Butcher and Malpas are a bit too professional for our very amateur CLUB?
