  1. No, as it's not a rumour. If I said that Butcher was wanted by X, then yes that would be a rumour. But this is not a rumour, rather me trying gauge people's thoughts on the future and a very possible scenario that may/will arise.
  2. Now that ICT under Butcher and Malpas have won the league, a momentous achievement given the circumstances, do people suspect that rumours of a departure of the management could be on the cards in the not too distant future? Personally I can. The fact that Butcher is still a big name in English football and has now had some success at managerial level, I think it's almost certain. I can see a club, perhaps a League 1 sized team with promotional aspirations, whilst on a tight budget, making a move the management team. What about a bigger SPL side, looking for some balance and stability? He was linked with the Hearts job once after all. Whether they'd choose to go or not is another thing, but perhaps a side like Ipswich (Butcher's team of course alongside Rangers) would be too big an offer to refuse. Will Terry and Maurice become wanted goods? This poster says yes.
  3. Really? It wasn't that bad.
  4. I wonder how much this has to do with the lack of "football people" being on the inside of ICT. Most of these people who make the rules and should be encouraging an atmosphere really have no interest doing. They are only interested and are only involved in the money side of things. They are not interested in the atmosphere side - but that is not their jurisdiction. From what I can see, the crowd's noise and atmosphere (bar Saturday's "party") is of no interest to them. They do not nor will they care, of crowd enjoyment. After all, they don't sit with the regular supporters in the North Stand, or anywhere else, out with the confines of their black comfy leather seats filled are, sat on by, first and foremost, big money paying supporters, and suit wearing businessmen. So where to now? Do we the supporters ignore the tutting and insults of the quiet, churchy, library-esque-loving environment of some of the (usually pensioner aged) supporters and make a stand once and for all that we are the core support and we shall do as we please, without the fear of insults or grief from dim grey supporters or power hungry cowboys in fluorescent yellow jackets? Or do we make a stand to the club, that this is the way we want things done and we want it done our way? After all, more than the players or the business-based staff - we are the club. We've moved as one before, and we successfully removed a manager who should never have been there in the first place. We need to use that power again and we DO have the power, we ARE the power.
  5. {Renegade reaches for popcorn}
  6. The thing with Bulvitis, is that he can be a good player, but when there's anyone near him or putting him under pressure, he doesn't know what to do with the ball.
  7. I've seen him play more than once. In the recent Clach game, and in a couple of reserve team fixtures. To be honest, he wasn't much good then, so I'd take a guess that he wouldn't be much better in the bigger games. He's less of a Michael Fraser to Mark Brown, and more of a Johnathon Smith to those aforementioned players.
  8. I think Bullock would be a good back up for Esson.
  9. I wouldn't. Waste of money. Why buy a player who would only be a squad player? He wouldn't get ahead of Foran or Hayes. His natural position is actually the centre of the midfield.
  10. I'd have Hart back. Not Kerr though!
  11. I see Richie Hart has been told to find a new club. I wouldn't be too disappointed if this would be his new club.
  12. I'd never write off England, they'll have to win it again eventually. Would sure like to see an African winner though.
  13. Bulvitis is still officially here on loan is he not?
  14. Aye, I was thinking that too. Hopefully Mr Dolphin would be allowed outside the confines of Caley Stadium just as he would in the wild, and ICT better not sign any Japanese players or it could all come to a sticky end.
  15. "Victoria" the Benfica eagle -
  16. I also heard at the game on Saturday that Bully would not be offered a new deal and that that was his last game. I'd keep him myself.
  17. Here's a point that hasn't been raised yet, why does the mascot have to be someone in a big suit? Benfica I believe also are associated wth the eagle, so they have an eagle, a real one, flying around the stadium before the game begins. I think that would be pretty cool.
  18. Someone must be a huge Nick Ross fan!
  19. Here's what you said at the time - :P
  20. Did you hear that from the same person that told you that Foran and Hayes had signed for Aberdeen?
  21. Because it wouldn't be a big crowd puller for ICT to go round town in a bus. It would also be fairly expensive and rather disruptive to a lot of things. If ICT had won that Champions League then maybe it would be more likely, but not for winning Division 1.
  22. No, because there won't be one.
  23. Tokely's had a few big offers before of course. Was it not Leeds (who were in the Premiership at the time) who were after him in the late 90s? And also a couple of seasons ago there was talk of Nottingham Forest making a move for him and Craig Dargo. Nothing came of it though.
  24. Ach, well they're all pensioners, they'll like that sort of thing.
