  1. Yogi might be entertaining, but if he's such a great manager why are Falkirk below us in the league?
  2. Imrie played as a right midfielder at Hibs. When we have the ball, Imrie and Cowie support Wood, when we don't, they get back and defend. I have no problem with 4-5-1 at home as long as we get a result.

He was on the bench on Saturday for the first time in a while - looked like he'd bulked up a bit.
  4. U21 Squad It's just been discussed on Sportsound that there are 10 uncapped players in the squad. Haven't heard of half of them. Steven Lennon is in the squad despite sitting on the bench for Partick. Jamie Duff, Garry Wood and especially Iain Vigurs should be aggrieved at this given the number of SPL games thay have played this season.
  5. A lot of Dons fans hated him - didn't think he was 'Aberdeen class' if there is such a thing. Definitely worth taking a look at. We've needed a left-back for a while and Byrne has loads of SPL experience.

It looks like Duff is Brewster's fourth choice centre-half. Munro and McGuire will always play together if they are fit.
  7. We did play a few long balls yesterday - the difference was that Wood was winning them. He was a real handful for Hogg yesterday, and while he didn't have a shot on goal for the whole game, his physical presence and running was a big factor in providing the space for the wide players to exploit. The midfield was immense yesterday. In Blackie and Vigurs we have two dynamic, composed ball-players who aren't afraid to get stuck in either. Russell gave his usual in-your-face away performance and Cowie and Imrie got up and down the flanks, bursting forward when we had the ball and playing disciplined defensive roles when we didn't. We should play this midfield every week although they probably won't face up to more lightweight opposing players for the rest of the season - Shiels and Yantorno were awful. Another great ICT away day and i have to say i didn't think we had it in us.
  8. I won't argue with that Alex, but if we're in the bottom three in January then we must hold onto our best players to keep us up - even that means losing them for nothing at the end of the season. The 50-100 grand bids that we can expect for Blackie and Cowie are a drop in the ocean compared to the loss of income that relegation would bring.
  9. Jesus Alex - do you really think that in the long-term that would be most financially prudent thing to do? We have to take a financial risk this year and reject any January offers for Blackie or Cowie as they could be the difference between staying up and going down.
  10. It certainly hasn't helped any of the teams that have gone down in recent years. What's the difference in turnover between a bottom 6 SPL team and a top half First Division one?
  11. MyP2P and the links it provides are great. Thank-you to whoever provides this wonderful public service.
  12. Craig Brown as DoF with Robbie Winters as Player/Head Coach assisted by Barry Wilson.
  13. Brewster sounds like a tw@t in the interview as always. While Wednesday night was a "good performance", yesterday we were "going through the motions". Why the sudden change? Have we not been going through the motions at times throughout the season? There's a lack of spirit in the team - and this a team which has a majority of players who have served the club for years or come through the youth system. Brew has to take responisibility for the failure to foster a good spirit among this group of players - many of them have have played under three or four managers at ICT and never failed to give everything for the cause.
  14. No way. We'll bring a good support to Edinburgh and get behind the team as we always do. If we get ripped apart then the fans will turn on Brew at the game. We pay because it's our club and we support it. If that involves telling Brew to **** off on Saturday then i'm sure a good few heads will be there to do it.
  15. Alex Rae? No. Don't like all this Robbo talk either - i'd sonner have Bobby Wilson.
  16. I was sitting on the fence last week and didn't think that today would make much difference but it did and so did the second-half at Falkirk. That's enough. **** off Brew.
  17. Player-Manager?
  18. I tried to vote for only two (Cowie and Blackie) but it wouldn't let me so i gave third to Tokely primarily for his years of service but also because he was only player who won a header in the Rangers half today.
  19. Two words to describe what i saw from ICT today: dispirited and disorganised. Brewster talked after the game about Rangers destroying us. They didn't destroy us - they didn't have to because we destroyed ourselves. Forget about the individual or tactical mistakes, we're used to losing to them - this was a performance without fight or desire.

It's an Invernesian thing. Town's full of old moans. You should get more people down from Tain.
  21. That's been happening a lot recently. Managers have sussed that our full-backs are both slow and that Tokely is likely to be miles out of position half the time.
  22. Next Thursday. Two trips to the filthy weedge in a week - i'll probably bring some horrific disease back to the capital. Tokely needs to be sent on a holiday and then put through intensive training on how to defend. Big game player? Trips to Hamilton and Paisley are big, not Ibrox. Big occasion player? Sometimes, but he's just not concentrating properly at the moment and we're losing goals becuase of it.
  23. We played 3 at the back at Rugby Park last season and it made people cry. Gillian is the 5th person on this thread to advocate dropping Rosscoe.

  25. Falkirk were sh1te. We`were worse. It was really cold.
