  1. Spot on Roby - hospitality must be empty before the real fans are offered a deal. ?50 will get you a better meal and lots of excitement in town. :clapping03: Last season I tried to get a hospitality deal for myself and 7 other season tickets holders, but the commercial dept would not budge on the price. As season ticket holders we're not interested in an "executive" seat so why can the commercial department not make an allowance for this in the price. The bottom line is that the club missed out on income for 8 people for a Saturday where the hospitality packages did not sell out. Where is the sense in that?
  2. IHE, Surely a man with your insight to the inner politics of ICT would know that Robbo has no chance of joining the club in any capacity as long as David Sutherland has the majority control. Or is it just another wind up that we must decipher :017:
  3. A good opportunity to end the season on a positive note with 3 home wins. :014:

As long as David Sutherland is the major shareholder, Robbo will never return as manager.
  5. You can't have had much contact with MacDonald before then? :004: He is consistently as bad as Freeland and also Murray. Also Craig Thomson is meant to be pretty bad as well. I had MacDonald to thank for a 9 hour wasted journey for the Scottish cup tie away to Killie. He abandoned the match after 20 minutes because the pitch was frozen. How the **** he or another official didn't call the match off earlier in the day I'll never know. The pitch had no chance of improving.
  6. Yesterday's winner was more like 97 minutes. I timed the match from kick off and it was 92 minutes before the fourth official even took his board out to indicate the extra time. There was then at least 4 minutes of extra time played. This "ref" Macdonald is starting to make Freeland look good.
  7. The attendance for the last home game against Aberdeen in October 07 was 6,023. So, although the attendance is down, it's not as dreastic as you make out.
  8. Foxy, I'm passing on the information that I heard today. As neither you nor I heard the discussion between Brew and Black it is a judgement call as to the credence you give to the source of the information.
  9. As has been previously mentioned, there was a "clear the air meeting" this week with management and players. Ian Black was asked by Brewster if he wanted to continue playing for the club; Black replied " I don't know". If he doesn't know whether he wants to play for the club, then IMO he deserves to be dropped until he sorts his head out and either knuckles down to get back in side or is placed on the transfer list.
  10. Agreed, best player on the pitch. Agreed.
  11. I agree with that Doresboy. He treated the fans with contempt that day with his shirt throwing antics - and not for the first time too.
  12. If the club is forced to part company with Brewster (and incidently the club has sacked a manager in its history ie Baltacha who was shown the door but it was dressed up as a mutual parting of the ways) then I hope it does not go down the road of appointing an ex ICT manager or an inexperienced one. At this stage the only name that appeals to me is Jim Duffy. Of the other names mentioned I do not rate Williamson or Collins. As for Brewster, if he survives this difficult spell then performances on the park must drastically improve and he must win back respect in the dressing room.
  13. A manager lives or dies by his actions and decisions. For me, Mr Brewster has made a crass decsion with Wyness based on a kneejerk reaction to the Falkirk game. I hope for Brewster's sake that he gets the reaction he's looking for from the team for the rest of the season. Dennis, if by any chance you're reading this, I'm sorry for the way you've been treated and I wish you well if you depart ICT.
  14. What a spot on post, ictchris. I agree with virtually everything you said. The team has really suffered with the departure of Brown and Dodds, and to a lesser extent Dargo.
  15. I've heard a lot of good reports about Dale, so here's hoping that he will make the grade in the near future. I also have high hopes that Iain Vigurs will soon justify a place in the first team.
  16. "speaking in tongues" :024:
  17. CC lost the first 3 games this season and Donald Park was in charge when DU defeated us. So Brewster can only be held responsible, so far, for 10 losses rather than 14.

  19. Interesting quote from Brewster in today's P & J: "Marius Niculie was not injured or suspended. I thought I would give him a rest and bring in Graham Bayne and Dennis Wyness". So that blows out the window the "insider knowledge" that Marius has a clause in his contract that he must be played every week if fit. I was disappointed with MN's performance against DU but in his defence he did take a hefty challenge late on in the first half, and he didn't get much in the way of decent support. I still think he has much to offer ICT and if he played up front with Wyness the combination would develop into great partnership. (BTW, the team didn't do much last night without Marius) :023:
  20. Brewster was lukewarm in his support of the club's involvement a few season ago, and I doubt much has changed to alter his view. I personally cannot see the attraction of being involved as we coud well end playing some obscure eastern european team which will cost the club a fortune to get to.
  21. I'm sorry that he's going because I feel he still has a lot of ability and could do a good job if given the chance. I wish him all the best for his new career with our feeder club.
  22. Scott Walker Kate Bush - Aerial
  23. Surely Hart on this type of form must get a chance in the first team.
  24. It will be interesting to see if Rankin gets a regular game for Hibs - I have my doubts. Accepting he showed some good form in the last run of matches for ICT, however, last season there were many games where he was anonymous and lost the ball easily. I think Brewster would admit that he perhaps misjudged Rankin's ability, but remember he had a large choice of midfielders and they can't all play.
  25. As a Caley fan I found the last season to be one of mixed emotions because one part of me was sad that it would be the end of Caley as we knew it but another part of me was excited at the prospect of joining the "big" league and having the opportunity to progress through the leagues. Looking back at what ICT has achieved in 14 years and all the great memories, convinces me that the merger was the correct decision and I don't look back with any regret.
