How many fans would you say were there? (our fans) 150-200 (+2 Ayr methadonians who thought it would be a right good laugh to sit in the middle of our section then stand up at 1-4 and proclaim how marvellous Ayr FC was. Huckled and a prize for knobs of the day). Imagine the positive vibes 1500 could give at TCS.

What a great way to kick off my season! The atmosphere in the stand (terracing not opened for us) was excellent. 90 minutes of singing and the players responded well. Aside from Esson's howler giving the ball away to the Ayr striker for a an easy stroke home it was decent or excellent performances from back to front. Tokely's yellow was late and ugly and deserved but you know I think it made him think more about what he was doing for the rest of the game. Golly was superb as was Duncan, who anchored the midfield well. Foran and especially Rooney was hungry for it today and bothered the Ayr defence senseless. Imrie ran his heart out and got some great support from the stand. Proctor was solid. Their keeper was guff but he wasn't being helped by a shaky defence. Conditions were greasy and a bit of a lottery at times but of 2 average teams on display it was ICT that mastered the conditions better. Once again, I should say the players visibly responded to the positive support from the stand. It's not rocket science, get it sorted at home fer feck's sake!

I saw a beach ball in Paphos last week that could do a job for us in front of goal.

On average over the 11 competitive games we've scored in, our first goal went in in the 42nd minute. 6 of the 11 matches it was scored after 45 minutes. Haven't seen them this season but are we slow out the traps for some reason this year? Listening on the radio only I'm always a bag of nerves by the time they find the net. On the plus side only one match without scoring (Ayr 0-0) is pretty good.

Footballers have always stretched the rules to get advantage. And get this, ICT players are no different. God help us if we get to the stage of 6 linesmen, 4 goal judges, 25 cameras reviewing every contested throw-in. The more these 'incidents' get highlighted the funnier it is watching and listening to the hypocrites-in-chief, Wenger, Mowbray, Fergie et al, bleating on about 'tragedies' and conspiracies. The game is not perfect. But neither is life. Live with it.

Is there anybody on this planet that thinks Athletics is clean? Where are all the Chinese athletes? Oh yes, Olympics in 3 years...they're, ahem, preparing!

Congratulations Norway, you played one of Europe's minnows off the park. Dreadful performance by Scotland and I listened to Duffy, McLeish, Brown at half time saying 'there's still something in it for the Scots' when anyone who has ever stood on a terracing for 10 minutes could clearly see we were pish and only in it to limit the damage. I want to see the compromising photos Commons has got of Burley...can there be any other reason he gets picked? Scott Brown was unfit and Miller flatters to deceive. We have been, for ages, in the same grouping as Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and San Marino...the idea that we go into any international match as anything as underdogs is a fecking joke. I doubt it's anything to do with Burley. These players are either ***** or unfit...and then we cry when they get the doing they deserved. Like I say, well done Norway, you...gave...us...a...hell...ofabeating!

Key question for me would be how the stewards handled standing. Hardly believe I'm asking the question but was there any hassle? B) Give Burnie a Ceeeeeee!
