  1. Alternatively, stick your head out the window and shout "wibble wibble wibble", I suspect you'll be better appraised of the current status. Sheesh...
  2. High Tech Scots After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, Irish scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago. Not to be outdone by the Irish, in the weeks that followed, an English archaeologist dug to a depth of 20 feet, and shortly after, a story published in the Sassenach Morning Herald read: "English archaeologists, finding traces of 130-year-old copper wire, have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network 30 years earlier than the Irish". One week later, the Banffshire Courier in Buckie, Scotland, reported the following: "After digging as deep as 30 feet in his pasture near Enzie, Banffshire, Jock Broon, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely f#ck all. Jock has therefore concluded that 130 years ago, Scotland had already gone wireless." Just makes you proud to be a Scot
  3. My understanding this time round was that we were to vote on which leader's wife we fancied...or have I been reading the papers wrong?
  4. 30 league games per season would make sense in Scotland. You aim to play all games at weekends, throw in a couple of 'free' Saturdays in the Spring to allow for the inevitable winter postponements, allowing squads to freshen-up. Most games will have meaning, each is unique because it's one home/away only. End of season play-offs, proven entertainment. 16 team top flight for me.
  5. First class. Really appreciated service. Congratulations on the success of this project. What happens next year when we're in the SPL?
  6. I'd love the idea of 2 x local highland derbies per season in the SPL in a 16 team league. If that means both teams are successful, so be it.
  7. How many Dee fans are going to make the trip if the league's done n dusted? NOTE: :tonguecheek: We can park Heilandee in hospitality and save on stewarding in the south stand. AGAIN NOTE: :tonguecheek:
  8. a. If we win and Dundee lose this Saturday. Dundee are out. b. If we win on Saturday RC will need to win all 7 outstanding league games to top us. c. Anything can happen and probably will. So ignore a. & b.
  9. ROOOOOOOOOOOOOONEEEEEYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Yep, time to concentrate on more important business. C'mon lads, let's get over the line... ...and come on Partick!
  11. Watched that in an Irish bar in Rotterdam. You could hear a pin drop when the 2nd goal went in. Apart from me in the corner laughing my head off. The Murphys tasted so sweet!!! Well done County, you really silenced a bunch of foul-mouthed neanderthals today!!!
  12. That's gobbledygook...I hope this isn't a reflection of the finished product.
  13. If Ayr are already 'down' by the time our game comes round, might make it less of a scrap...on which note, well done Raith tonight.
  14. 160 users on this topic...must be a record!
  15. Take your time Scotty, I think there are a few cardiac cases needing some recovery time before re-visiting that! Back to the good old Pele days..."go on then, score 3, we'll just score 4!"
  16. A really outstanding development. A huge 'well-done' to all involved. Greatly appreciated. :025:
  17. About 5 years ago the govt, RAC and Motor Insurance governing body, Chamber of Auto Insurers, conducted a study of vehicle accidents. Working with some car manufacturers they secretly fitted several thousand cars with microphones to see what people said immediately prior to having an accident. Of course it was almost always "Oh f*ck!" or "Oh, sh"t no!" Funnily enough in the Highlands 24% of the accidents were preceded with a variation on "Here, hold this bottle of Jack Daniels and watch this...!" But I digress...
