They should recommission Cath's van and fit it oot with all the club regalia, and then drive all over toon, selling the stuff, along with rolls, butteries, and the like, and the vendor would have a pencil behind his ear, glued on like.
  2. You start it and we'll join in mate.
  3. cracking pic mate

Telford Street Colts would do okay, won the Morvich Shield v. Drakies in '80.
  5. If true that would take the biscuit.
  6. Official macaroon bars would fly off the shelves. Half 'n' half ski hats. Erra fishul sports socks...
  7. Seemed to be saying he knew what was wrong and that he has the experience to fix it. 35 yearsh like.
  8. Was his on-air critique of the club a statement of intent to take over, or would he like to stay in the background? 35 years of experience as he says; does he want to be back in the spotlight? Would this be a good thing?
  9. Go on the young lads, best time of yer lives boys.
  10. Grassed up.
  11. Looked like a decent rumble doon the subway.
  12. Sign of the times when the best aggro is on the message boards.
  13. Caley v Elgin, 1980 q-cup final at Station Park, glory days of aggro.
  14. 'Sing when yer fishing' -- that seemed to set the Buckie lads off. What aboot the 90s Jeggies riot--anyone there? ICI days.
  15. Were you at the Q-cup final in 1980, Kingsmills? 5000-strong crowd.
  16. Elgin were our main rivals, County were like Rothes or something. Just a shame Elgin were left behind. Did they have a title stripped or something?
  17. Worst riot I saw in HL football was at Borough Briggs, 1980 Q-Cup final, Buckie v .... The Jeggies. In fact, the second worst incident in my time also involved the Jeggies, v Elgin at Forres for some cup final in the early 90s. Madchester era. So, who were the real hoodlums in Sneck football?
  18. It's daft to compare Caley and Thistle Highland League attendances to ICT Premier League crowds--of course the latter would be bigger! How many would watch ICT in the Highland League? How many would watch Caley or Thistle in the Premier League, or even a new team created in a way that did not alienate the core support of both teams? I guess we'll never know.
  19. The attendance issue is always discussed in terms of numbers, when type of supporter is as important and relevant. If you compared the crowd at the Caley v St Johnstone cup game back then to the present day crowd, how would that look?
  20. That is nonsense, the town supported 3-4 clubs for over a hundred years, it is just that, for various reasons, the new club has never managed to energize people sufficiently, indeed it attracts hostility and indifference as much as enthusiasm and dedication.
  21. Did well tonight, set up the goal, will take his chance and is doing all the right things.
  22. It's still early in the season, lots can happen yet, and he does seem to be featuring on the bench, which is something of an achievement given the size of the squad. Also seems to be a willing and quick learner.
