  1. I think you're right on all points there, had they not missed even one of their penalties they would have been through.
  2. UEFA have applied their rule to the letter, so why would there be any appeal? Sure seems harsh, but the rules are there and they have to be applied.
  3. 2-1 Avoch so far, back from 1-0 down.
  4. It was certainly in my top 3 football days following blues, along with winning the cup at wembley and being the first English club ever to beat club brugge away, seeing 9000 blues fans around the square and in the ground was exceptional. What are your away number usually and what do you expect for tomorrow's game ? Maybe knock a couple of zeros off your number.
  5. It really looks to me as if this thread has partly degenerated into the argument that, in order to achieve a meteoric rise to the top of Scottish football, it has not been worth losing the opportunity to make a complete @rse of yourself in the Howden End on a Saturday afternoon. There is a lot more to supporting football than the rather 70s fads of swigging Scotsmac, licking stamps and a severe reluctance to admit that one's days of adolescence have long gone. Maybe you're right, but then again maybe you just don't get it that some people's adolescent experiences were not limited to the thrills of the Scripture Union quiz night or the BB camp at Carrbridge.
  6. Yeh.... to the extent that the status of Inverness football has plummeted from the HighlandLeague to the top half of the SPFL Premiership. Right on cue.
  7. To think of this in terms of numbers only is to accept the limited perspective of a science teacher. Just as important is type, the kind of supporters lost, dismissed by some as riff raff and deadwood, but who were the actual fans who went out and supported the HL teams and kept them going, and without whom there would have been no viable bid for senior league status. If the new club lacks character and the new stadium lacks atmosphere, it is because of the loss of these kinds of fans. For all the smugness and condescension of some on here the loss of those fans has fundamentally weakened the club.
  8. CB's non-irritating, refusenik alter ego--I knew it.
  9. Granvillesque.
  10. Sorry Laurence but you are the one having a go. You are the one instigating that we should support England. As a Scot and supporter of Scotland why should I then support any other nationality? . Well it didn't stop you changing your allegiance in season 94/95 did it Alex? As far as I can see you try and come over pro Scottish but there is an extremely thin line between that and anti English Dougal Quite right, it's not as if anyone on here would hold an irrational hatred for any nationality, say for instance, the Irish.
  11. When can we expect the English translation of this?
  12. Yes, he conspired to have bullets sent in the post to him, to be assaulted while doing his job at Tynecastle (and for the assailant to be acquitted), and to have to live with a personal bodyguard. That's some "conspirisy" be f**k. The totally despicable actions of these people have nothing to do with football or his management abilities but hiding inabilities by threatening to write to the SFA about decisions against his team and his part in the infamous dossier of conspirisies that never saw the light of day and his all round ability to never accept his team were beaten by a better team worked straight into the hands of the diluded fans. Never defeated always cheated. But of course lets not read what's posted and just put a spin on things to avert peoples gaze from what was actually being said. Lennon could have written that post. And to be clear, my disgust at the non-football crap he had to endure holds no bounds but had nothing to do with my post. Fair enough, but there is an argument to be made that every team in the SPL has long been cheated by the financial wrongdoings of one former club, and you don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to feel that your club is not playing on a level field.

  14. Quite right Laurence, it is ridiculous those Jocks don't think or act how you want them to, especially after all this time you have lived in Jockoland, and given that they forced you to live among them. Poor show by the sweaties.
  15. Rangers were not "removed" --they went out of business and the new club was fast-tracked into the bottom tier. If anything, they "removed' themselves.
  16. That day at Huntly was the saddest day I've ever had at football.
  17. Any idea what date pre-season training starts this year?

God bless her and her family.
  19. Who are the u-17s who are moving up?
  20. Won't disagree with that...lol Reason for the setup was we had to rely on the camera mic so couldn't position it any further away. I have mics etc on order to get around that for future and we'll possibly use a two/three camera setup to allow a more comfortable seating arrangement. Oh well, they do say that the camera adds 10 pounds, so 3 of them would be aboot right.

Not going to happen and yes, I can sense a win :). It is getting into a busy part of Tennis season so watching a lot of that on Sky and BBC hence not posting on here plus CaleyD and ilPadrino want me gone, shameful posts by someone who is a former mod!! Trying not to sound to harsh as I don't want banned. Ah know, see when the lawn bowls season gets going, ah'm outta here too.
