Actually it would be nice to get Ross County away in the next round but they keep exiting competitions early. Even their chairman is dismayed at Spartans getting to the 5th Round in this year's Cup. ''Ross County chairman Roy MacGregor has labelled some of his team’s performances this season as awful, but retains faith manager Jim McIntyre can rescue the campaign...............................MacGregor is desperate to achieve a settled squad, and reckons County should look no further than Highland rivals Caley Thistle, third in the Premiership, for inspiration.''

Reguero yesterday gave Adam Rooney a simple gift of a toe poke goal after Hayes sent in a soft cross.

The number was not announced but whilst it was not as high as the Hamilton game it was perhaps near 400. The drummers did a brilliant job of perhaps creating the image of more.- 82 replies

Brilliant first half and tremendous away support. Great save by Essen to prevent a replay. Never underestimate the underdog. Falkirk, Spartans and certainly Hibs and QOS are as difficult as Dundee United or Celtic. Rangers or Newcastle United in disguise are just as dangerous.- 82 replies

31 January 2015 Blackpool have announced that they have signed 24-year-old defender Tom Aldred on loan from Accrington Stanley on an emergency loan. He could make his debut again Brighton this afternoon.

As Yogi says ''Always look on the bright side of life'' Time to move on so let's remind ourselves of when Billy did not play for us .............................https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIn_MHG2F6Y

Hopefully, like the Butcher, Billy will be having second thoughts. His international and effective playing career could be badly damaged in a team being substantially rebuilt mid-season by their latest manager, Malky Mackay,to prevent it heading into Division 1. It is an enormous challenge and in my view Billy deserves far, far better. It is the complete opposite of what he has in Inverness. Malky and his Chairman have both been subject to controversy in the recent past. I do not begrudge him a really good move because he absolutely deserves it. Blackpool are virtually certain to be relegated and Wigan do look vulnerable to join them.Even Don Cowie is on the way down! Malky is not Roberto Martinez and with a dramatic clear out since he arrived he now has to rapidly build a new team with the risk of an FA sanction still possible. The environment does not look good even on much higher wages for Billy. If another bid does not come in during the window, Billy is likely to score a lot more goals before the end of the season and then pick a far better option for next season. Meantime he would cement his Northern Ireland place. Don't do it Billy.

I'd put Nick Ross on Draper's shoulders for corners!!

Billy may take one look at the mess Wigan are in and decide 'time for a sharp exit'. There are far better clubs who could sign someone who will always score goals.

Good to see Derek and his Dad finally admitting they are ICT fans!! A brave move to sit amongst them though. Apart from the Brill injury, this was another fantastic performance from the team. I am quite happy to reach half time at 0-0 regardless of performance because we do seem to start wearing teams down in the second half. Shinnie certainly worked his socks off and was an inspirational leader. Meekings header was matched by a fantastic save. Nick Ross has certainly grabbed his chance with his goal engineered by Billy and then unselfishly laid off by Draper. The Ross County game should be a must attend match because it has the potential to elevate us above the League Champions elect (Aberdeen) but equally provide Ross County with invaluable points. Chelsea were beaten today with a goal by an ex-ICT player so we must beware of the under dog next week.

''..............plummeting to the division below...'' has a nice ring about it and the game on the 31st could be the last we have against them for a very long time although next year's SPFL could be exceedingly competitive if Hearts and Hibs come up. Kiss is potentially a good player but he must be quite demoralised. He would though not fit in at ICT. Even Derek Adams on the radio thinks there is something wrong at the County!! Unlike Yogi, McIntyre and the Wee One, have already undermined the squad by a massive turnover (a touch of the Butcher philosophy). In fact, it would not surprise me to see an advert on Gumtree during this window from Ross County putting the whole squad up for sale and asking buyers to 'pay what they can afford' for each player!!!

Bring back Barrowman!! Just joking.

Sublime one touch passing for those not there!! Indeed a masterclass of passing. We need to keep our feet on the ground in terms of one game at a time. Hamilton is a very difficult venue. Ross County will really fancy their chances and Partick away in the cup is about the worst draw we could have got.- 71 replies

Tony Roguero let in two goals against St Mirren! Mark Brown played a blinder earlier in the season against us so lets hope Antonio has another shut out against Celtic.

Just back from an overnight in Perth!! Apparently Professor Willie Short, Dundee University, warned United that undersized organic items such as low grass need extra heat. United were aware of this research finding but did not measure the grass length when they put a few quid in the meter on Thursday morning. Consequently they did not consider covering the area that caused the postponement or providing it with sufficient heat to meet SPFL rules. Expect a notice of complaint from the Compliance Officer and a 2 game ban for the Groundsman.

From the highlights Billy's goals look superb. That said, the team must have played well in adverse circumstances. We are very lucky to have a player of Billy's calibre at the club.- 85 replies

Nick and Liam do not need to leave. They are in the same situation as Danny Devine. There are players currently playing better than them in the first team. Ryan Christie has only recently become a fairly regular first team player. Injuries, suspensions creating opportunities and improved substitute or other appearances can change a player's career. Moving is another option but not all moves are successful as we are well aware.

The club are trying everything to attract fans - any new thoughts on this initiative?
