I'd take Dead ball's suggestion of Bobby Wilson in the blink of an eye, thought he did a great job at County and he'd soon kick some oh they lazy erses into action, but doubt if he could be ersed wi the grief (or tak a drop in income fae the tiling ).Billy Dodds seems to be gettin touted a lot along with Gordon Chisholm (who i'd be more than happy with) on the strength of his friendship with John Bennet,the ex Arab director who is "investing" money at Dens just now.The latest "dream" ticket the press have latched onto is Craigy Broon and Billy Davies but cannae see the funds being available for that pairing.The other candidate i'd be happy enough to see return would be Jocky Scott,who going back to the original point of your thread was scandelously sacked by the Marrs at the beginning of their ruinous tenure after taking us to our highest SPL placing ever,albeit playing no affy bonny fitba.

KB, it may seem a bit harsh on the face of it,as you quite rightly say we came very close last season and only a very consistant Accies prevented us getting back in the SPL. That said after losing the few qaulity players we had, Rae was always gonna be up against it this year.I can't give a personal opinion on the playing side of things as i have yet to grace Dens this season, but from the comments of regulars his tactics and ability to deal with and adjust to the injury problems as they occured was inadeqaute and the goals for tally speaks for itself with the worst record in Scotland and 2 from open play.The fact we're only 6 points aff top is down to pure good luck because of the way other scores have gone and i personally would agree the time for change is now if anyone is to have a real chance at turning things round. Billy Dodds and Gordon Chisholm seem to be the main names being touted,!! We'll wait and see.........

Good luck wi yer move Marko,i'm a Dundonian originlly who has lived up here for 20 years and have formed quite an afinnity with ICT. I Stayed in Sowerby Bridge near Halifax for a spell when i was younger and used to keep an eye on Leeds results, shame they, like Dundee, were the victims of gross mismanagement and huge financial incompetance.I live in hope both may one day overcome there current situations but have my doubts as things sre stacked heavily against both clubs now.

Dont get me started on Sentanta! the picture qaulity of broadcasts is appaling,often similar to poor resoloution screen shots,and their customer relations is worse with a complete "take it or leave it" attitude.I know which i chose!!!. On the in house front, oor lot have made huge improvments this season with no coverage of league games ,DFC tv has been set up ,excellant 8-10 mins highlights every week,player interviews,post match interviews along with PDF match programs of home games avilable for ?10 a month to join Club Dundee,(quite a few other wee benifits as well),great service for ex-pats who struggle to see games regularly.I,m sure if Dundee with VERY limited resources can get this up and working ICT could manage similar if the will is there. One of the strangest things i came across at the footy was back in '92,on a visit to the food kiosk, an assistant politely asked what i would like,smiled when she served me my pie and bovril and when i ate the peh it was hot in the middle without being burnt to a crisp on the outside AND the bovril didn't leave a blister on the roof of my mouth.Many folk refuse to believe me when i recall the tale and i sometimes wonder if it's just my memory playing tricks on me....anyone else come across anything that unbelievable? Was oot golfin today and 3 of us all used to go regularly,now only the 1 still goes and the 2 "neutrals " have kinda fell by the wayside,partly price but also SPL "whats the point" attitude for neutrals, 25 quid for a usually pointless gemme of midtable mediocrity,( i refuse to attend OF gemmes regsrdless of opposition)I also refuse to be treated as a second class citizen/hooligan for 90 minutes by polis and "stewards" just coz i don my supporters hat,tis a shame, as i have a big soft spot for the team and would probly start attending again in the first division,spose ICT are a victim of their own success in that respect.

Ther's obviously some unknown underlying (probably financial) reason for using this massive sledgehammer to crack an affy wee nut,could have all been resolved,i'm sure, with a phone call if the will had been there to do so.Shame on those making these decisions.

Liked what i saw at Dingwall, seemed comfortable alongside folk he hadn't met before the game so hopefully once he gets in training he will gel even better. Bit simplistic to take the ?575 as payment for 2 hours work as many unpaid hours over many years are required to get to the top grade and some incentive is required to get fresh blood into refereeing,that said i think they should be performance related with some form of unbiased adjudicator rating the performance as many are simply woeful

Bobby Wilson was a hard as nails Full Back who played more than 250 games for Dundee from 65-76 including the League cup winning side in 72 and many euro games ,A Dee legend and can be seen at most ICT games home and away supporting Barry,a true gent who always has time to stop and talk football with the fans, he was down at the Dundee player of the year awards a few weeks ago....LEGEND and a genuinely nice guy.
