Aye that's right, I wasna happy when I found that out either! Have to wait until we all go digital to get it on Freeview I think. At the moment Alba's only available via the satellite platforms but they are pushing to get on freeview ( see bit below),it was down to the original funding and requirement to prove it was viable before launching on freeview,which seemed a strange decision IMO as this would have given greater and easier access to most folk. "BBC Alba - the new Gaelic digital TV channel - is seeking an early launch on Freeview. The Chief Executive of the Gaelic media service MG Alba is to write to the Chairman of the BBC Trust asking him to consider such a move, the BBC reports. Currently, BBC Alba is available to Sky and Freesat viewers. Its launch on Freeview is not scheduled for another two years. But Alasdair Morrison is believed to be pushing for an earlier start date following positive feedback during the channel's first month of broadcasting. "As well as continuing to deliver an excellent service, we will also be working hard towards achieving greater access to BBC Alba by securing transmission on Freeview," he remarked. Scottish Culture Minister Linda Fabiani has said she will support Mr Morrison's efforts, insisting BBC Alba offers "distinctive and high quality programming" for Gaelic digital TV viewers. Meanwhile, Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond is calling for the creation of a publicly-funded channel offering news and content for Scottish audiences.

See BBC Alba are to start showing a few Live first division games, Sundays with 3.15 kick off Sunday, 22nd February Airdrie United v. Clyde Sunday, 22nd March Partick Thistle v. Dundee Sunday, 19th April St. Johnstone v. Queen of the South Might not be of much interest to you lads at the moment ,but mebbes next season eh?

With regard to Mcmanus,his temprament lets him down.I remember him running a full 10 yards to assault Barry Robson(no bad thing ya may say!) with the ball long gone it was one of those watch thru yer fingers moments as you knew exactly what was coming,he got sent off and we lost the game. Aye, it's actually Winmail .dat thats giving me the problems,they are data fikes which attempt to open in notebook but come out in the main as gobbeldygook with the occasional word of text readable.The following is what yer link says, but how do i get round it, is it coz i'm with AOL the prob occurs? "Winmail.dat files contain formatting information for Rich Text (RTF) messages sent from Microsoft Exchange Server; they are added to the end of e-mails when a recipient's e-mail client does not support RTF messages; the Winmail.dat file is not useful to users that do not use Outlook or Exchange Server to retrieve their mail."

For some time now folk have been sending .DAT files which i have been unable to open , never really been a bother as it's usually junk or joke stuff , but have now had to ask a couple of business correspondences to resend as word as i am unable to open.Anyone any ideas, do i need to down load software or what? cheers Alanmac

Because Setanta has the control on Scottish viewings. Hence the reason Man U wasd on ITV down south but Setanta 2 in Scotland Nothing to do with Sentanta Alex,they dont control Scottish viewing ,only the SPL fotball the have contracted to show.

Think you'll find the problems not with ITV as a whole but with STV as a company,It's up to them what they show in their "region" If you have Sky you can access any ITV region. Alternative ITV regions on Sky box

When i came out of the forces i quickly realised the most important factor in getting any job was not your qaulifications or experiance (although they help) but contacts. Don't be afraid to put yourself about and whilst i hate buzzwords ,"networking" is all important depending on what you want to get in to.That said, i ended up self employed so what do eh know about getting a joab !
