  10. Yes another disaster then! A lot of people might not have known there were beautiful buildings in Inverness at one time.
  11. My old school the Merkinch and the Telford Barracks to the left and Carse Farm just across the basin with the old toll house in the foreground before the Titanic arrived!
  12. Was owned by the Perrins family (of the Lea & Perrins sauce) for many years who donated quite a lot to the local area and had the Perrins Centre in Alness called after them.

  15. I remember the wee blue van coming out to Fort Augustus on a Sunday, what a treat then I moved into Inverness and you could get real ice cream any day of the week

I can only remember Chapman's being on King Street and the bottom end of Academy Street was SMT Vauxhall with the showroom and stores now Farmfood's and the workshop across the road where you drove through what in now the Panasonic shop to the garage which was at the rear. On Millburn road what is now Farm & Household was the Standard & Vanguard garage but I will have to sleep on it to remember the name

  21. A Morris JB van from the late 50's, the name Brooman is not one I have ever herd of in Inverness.
  22. Long before the cars! Just see the lower half of Faith, Hope & Charity on such another beautiful building which I remember as Camerons. Where did the old fountain go from outside the Town House?
  23. Invergordon with a floating dock and the size of the ship I think that must be WW2.
