  1. Once the announcements about cars blocking emergency exits or with lights left on or windows left open have been read out, there might just be time to squeeze in a wee dedication for Iona's birthday.
  2. I'm not saying that this happens every time fans stand and I know from experience of attending most ICT matches over the last 16+ years it poses no problems. However, in this situation and at the Elgin game a few weeks ago, as the actions of the away fans went unchecked they got more and more boistrous to the point that they then started to stand and jump up and down on the seats. Personally I have no problem with fans standing on the ground in front of the seats as long as they are not disturbing those who choose to sit or get completely out of hand as these Saints fans did on Saturday.
  3. I see from today's Courier that a small element of away fans damaged seats on Saturday. To a degree I blame the stewards because they allowed the away fans to stand and not for the first time this season. Now when it comes to the home end our fans are usually made to sit down. Similarly, when you go to McDiarmid Park the Saints' stewards make you sit down. So why didn't our stewards wade in earlier and sort things out before the seats got damaged, "over-exuberance" or otherwise?
  4. FFS! A bit late in the day too. Our south based fans and Arabs will have set off well before now.
  5. What heavy rain? It's been relatively light here most of the day and as said above has stopped. Is the forecaster based down in soggy Fort William?
  6. I could name at least two in the current squad that have failed to make the grade but that would just be a red rag to a bull.
  7. Fair point, Scotty. May just have to watch the highlights later.
  8. Does anyone know if the St J game is going to be broadcast live on one of those obscure TV websites today?
  9. The lunch-time kick off (a pain in the ass), it was on TV and Huns fans based in Inverness who normally get tickets for the "home" end would rather watch it in the comfort of their local pub or armchair.
  10. Great performance guys. 4 going on 10-2. I thought Rooney could have scored 5. I also thought it was funny that Riordan was getting pelters from his own fans for his crosses. Then when Murray left the pitch he gave the captain's armband to Rankin, which was about the fourth time Riordan threw his toys out the pram. BTW, Derek Adams. Who is he again? Our performance and the last gasp draw for the Tangerines at Darkheid gives us great hope for causing an upset next week and preserving our unbeaten away run.
  11. Nothing so sinister Scarlet Pimple. I'm originally from the other side of "the boundary" (Edinburgh) and a Jambo by birth. So H*bee hatred goes hand in hand. I also worked on conversion of many of the Leith slums in the 70s and saw a lot of bad things. Some parts of Leith are okay now but there are still places like the Banana Flats, Salamander Street and Fester Road that I don't like.
  12. All mouth and no trousers as usual from Adams. A bit like most of the folk he's gone to join in Leith. As well as pinning the article up in the dressing room Terry should take the guys on a bus trip to Dungwall and back on Saturday morning just to remind them of what they are not missing but also to get into the 'away' team mood to tan the hide off those Leith scumbags.
  13. Stratton Farm (on way from A96 to Smithton) was the option that scored best in the 1993 appraisal. It was and still is on a bus route, it can be approached from three different directions and further road improvements are planned in conjunction with new development. It is also not in Inverness which was significant in 1993/4 as at that time we didn't have Inverness in the club's name. Stratton Farm is also now owned by Inverness Estates, one of Mr Sutherland's and ICT Director David Cameron's companies. They got planning approval to build a new town centre there last month. Doesn't require much out of the box thinking then?
  14. Never mind the guy in 65, what about the Dons fan in 66 at our end of the ground!!!
  15. I thought we were going to kick on today after scoring the first goal. However, the comments above on the inept defensive display cover everthing I was going to say. Play like that on Wednesday at Septic Park and they will get absolutely hammered. Even when McCann and Gillet eventually come back I still fear we will not good be enough at the back to survive.
  16. Any news yet on when the postponed game from 2 January is to be played? I bought extra tickets for this one for student son and friends. I'd like to know when it is but odds are it will be a midweek game during term time and no chance of a refund if they can't make it.
  17. What is the deal with Barrowman? Is he injured? If not get him in the squad at least. He surely can't do any worse than those playing up front for most of this season.
  18. Esson Tokely - Munro - Golabek Imrie - Cox - McBain - Shinnie Odhiambo - Barrowman - Foran Subs: Allison, Proctor, Hayes, Rooney, Ross
  19. Forgive me if I'm being thick or missed something in another thread, but there were two cameras opposite the Main Stand filming the game on Saturday. What was that all about and who were they filming for?
  20. I never thought I'd have to resort to saying this about an ICT team but they can't pass, are too slow on the ball, panic in defence and can't create space or chances for our stand in strikers. Foran and Imrie are first and foremost midfielders. All in all p**h poor in my book, right through the team. Gotta change soon or we'll be confined to the 1st Div, or worse. Think I'd have more fun shopping with the wife than watching that again.
  21. Well done lads. Maybe you have to play all your games away. I still think the squad needs changed for Saturday though.
  22. Thought that after Saturday Butcher would have freshened up the squad. Instead he's kept the lot and switched Imrie for Sanchez and Proctor for Eagle. You gotta feel sorry for Barrowman, Shinnie and Ross.
  23. Big mistake today not having a refreshments kiosk open on the west side of the North Stand. Meant that some folk had to queue for over half an hour. Not that they missed much of an awful match but not much fun for those who had to stand for so long.
  24. Well done Donald (Caley D), but unfortunately the sound system wasn't quite in tune with our hearing in the North Stand. It was too sharp for our eardrums. BTW, was that shirt you were wearing not a teepee at Belladrum last weekend?
  25. Tactical mistake bringing on Duncan at RB. Should have gone 3 at the back and kept the numbers up in midfield. We played into Falkirk's hands by not pushing men out wide in the second half so they put on a tricky winger to exploit Duncan. Imrie also posted missing for most of match, just like the midfield for most of the season. Imrie should have been hooked for Odhiambo at half time cos he wasn't bothering their defence at all.
