  1. I agree with most of what you say IHE, but a bad day at the office for Munro? Fraid not in my opinion. He's been pretty gash poor most of the season. His defensive clearances with the boot are shocking. He panics to thrash the ball anywhere when there is no one near him. His regular sclaffs are worse than Bobby Mann's. He can't organise the defence - Pavels has been doing that for him since he came in. He often gets on the wrong side of a defender for headers and he got roasted for pace a couple of times yesterday. Time to drop him and get him to practice how to kick a ball.

    Pavels

He's a class act who never seems to get flustered. He reads the game well and makes timely good clearances. The same can't be said for Grant Munro though.
  3. The downward spiral continues and can still get worse. We go from 7 league defeats in a row to 10, with Hearts, Celtic and Dundee United to come next.
  4. Given the lack of leadership since Darren Dods left us and the continuing malaise with Brewster as manager we could do with 'Elvis' to steady the ship. His deal with the Danish club has now ended and he seems to be a free agent.
  5. Is this not getting back closer to the Huns top again? Still looks like you can shoot peas through it as well.
  6. We already got one player (manager) from the Dons this season and look where that got us.
  7. Does anyone know why some ST holders were sent letters about this offer and not others? I only found out third hand that some other ST holders had been sent a letter last week, but not us. I had to come on line to this site to find out more. Never mind it's only Gretna and there's still the chance that they won't fulfil the fixture.
  8. Maguire should have been taken off after their third goal. He was shocking yesterday - Aberdeen's 13th man, after the ref. Mind you the whole defence was culpable. Proctor standing off Aluko for the first instead of getting stuck in started the rot. Grant Munro still doesn't know how to put in clearance kicks or pass the ball out of defence. He just panics an hoofs it anywhere, usually to an opponent. Hastings wasn't much better. I agree with others that we need a more commanding figure at the back. Shouldn't we be looking at folk like Chris Innes (just sacked by Gretna) or bringing the Terminator back? Imrie can't beat a man or cross the ball. His corners were shocking and as for the free kick on the edge of the box into the wall which set up another Aberdeen attack. We didn't even realise that Russell Duncan wasn't on the pitch in the second half until we heard it on the radio on the way home. Bringing on Paataleinen instead of Denzil also beggared belief. The only bright spots were Rossco and Cowie in midfield and Marius up front. I also heard that Blackie was less than enthusiastic about watching the game. Then where was Graham Bayne? All in all the current situation gives no confidence of winning another game this season. On this form we will be odds on candidates for relegation next season.

    Apathy...

Wouldn't blame folks if apathy also set in for our remaining home and away attendances given the last few dire preformances from the team. Look how many streamed out of the ground when Falkirk scored yesterday.
  10. Other clubs have been blooding young players all season and Falkirk's winner was scored by one yesterday. So CB if you are to prove your worth for the remainder of this dire season, don't let these young lads warm the bench any longer and get them on the park. Vigurs, Kerr, Gilliespie and Duff should be tried out and as said on another post let's get Zander and Gary Wood signed up and back for next season. Players like Tokely, Munro, Duncan, McBain, Cowie and Niculae just haven't performed since the start of the year and one or two of them should be shown the door.
  11. A top 6 finish is going to slip away if we lose the next 2 games, but one thing is for sure, we won't be relegated. So get Dennis back in if he signs on and time to start blooding the youngsters. They are getting plenty experience against first team squad players from other clubs in reserve games. So why not pitch them in and get Zander Sutherland and Gary Wood back from their loans? We need something different to turn around 5 or 10 minute blunders into wins.
  12. Is the TCS not the only ground in the SPL where away fans get to sit in the stands allocated to home fans? As far as I'm aware it is not allowed at Pittodrie, Celtic Park, Tannadice, Ibrox, Easter Road or Tynecastle. Is it perhaps the case that it is more obvious at the TCS because the demand from OF fans by far outstrips the capacity of the away section? Apart from the three Huns thrown out of the west stand after the goal, police and stewards failed to take heed of complaints from home fans. It also did not help yesterday that before the game many home fans were openly selling wads of home tickets to Rangers fans. Unless the club stamp the whole nonsense out now we will continue to see a tirade of postings on this website for as long as us and the OF remain in the SPL. Finally, as for other wrong doings, was any action taken against the Sash singing bigots in the away end? Perhaps it is the case that evidence was being gathered during the game, at least I would like to think so. The singing was clearly audible to all in the ground and it is also within the power of a certain Mr Murray to sort it out, given his much publicised stance on the matter.
  13. Formation and tactics wrong again today, just as they were at Fester Road last week. Brewster had a chance to change it at half time but unlike most of us in the stands he failed to see it. Our passing was also pretty woeful again with Munro, Hastings and Black being the worst culprits. Time for Grantie to throw the Bobby Mann Manual of Long Passing and Big Defensive Clearances (hoofs anywhere up the park) in the bin.
  14. Yes and what was the point of the extra policing if they were not going to deal with Huns in the home end? Worse than that, what about the several renditions of "The Sash" which must have been clearly audible on Setanta? Scumbags the lot of them! Despite official complaints about this in the past still we see no visible evidence of the authorities or our club dealing with it. Makes me so feckin angry!!!!!! Now if we were to go to Ibronx or Darkheid and start singing anti-Protestant or anti-Catholic songs it would be a different story. One rule for down there and a different one for the TCS. In the absence of proper action the OF fans will continue to think the authorities up here are just a push over.
  15. He still managed to take one decent free kick and two poor ones. Good to hear he is keeping his average up then.
  16. Stick this in yer pipe and smoke it ya wee ginger whinging f*nny. The official match stats as follows: - Inverness CT 7 Shots On Target, Septic 6 Inverness CT 3 Shots Off Target, Septic 5 Inverness CT 3 goals, Septic 2 Was having some banter with some older, more sensible Septic fans on walk from the ground. The only two words they wanted to hear from Strachan were "I resign". They also hoped that Scotland will take him.
  17. Not pretty at times especially when H*bs had control of the midfield in the first part of the second half. However, a timely substitution, second wind for Blackie and a bit of luck (much deserved after the September game at Fester Road) got us back on track. If that last shot from Marius had gone in the roof would have come of the North Stand. That's three H*bs goalies now that have not covered themselves in glory at the TCS. Must be something at the start of their names - Ma-lkowski, Ma-cNeill and Ma-kacalamity. Have to mention the enthusiastic support from the 50 or so lads from Dyce in the KBFE. They helped improved the atmosphere no end and seemed to be enjoying themselves. They had played the ICT youngsters in the morning.
  18. Was it him that scored 2 goals for Romania against Albania last night? P&J has "Niculae" scoring in 64 and 66 mins.

    Jambos game

The bowling club is the Caledonian (how apt) and it is on Russell Road, where the away supporters' coaches park. The Caley Sample Room (apt again), just along Angle Park Terrace from Diggers, is also good and less congested. It is the Caledonian Brewery's own pub and serves good lunches as well as great pints of Deuchars and other Caley beers.

    Brewster

I think that what went on before Brewster returned has lot to do with what is happening now. Dods and Brown were never replaced with decent reliable players when Charlie was still in charge. Now the January transfer window can't come quickly enough. It is clear we need an organiser at the back - Pressley on loan from Celtic would have been ideal and we could have had him in August. Grant Munro is lost without someone of that experience. Steven Watt is young has had too many injuries. Caff had too long out of the team to take over. The disorganisation at the first goal yesterday was obvious. Brewster is not entirely blameless though. Malkowski was a bit of a panic signing and came to us with a dodgy reputation. The switching between him and Fraser has not helped. I agree that Bayne should have been hooked at half time. Bayne was clumsy and was never going to get any favours off that ref. Niculae should have been brought on to play alongside Wyness and work the ball on the ground. We were also outnumbered in midfield almost from the kick off yesterday but Brewster failed to counter that. Taking Black off (unless he was injured) was not the answer. The continuous hoofing of high balls up for knock downs showed lack of imagination and is boring to watch unless Brewster himself is prepared to risk his shoulder and play. Tactics need to change or we are going to get turned over every week.

    New Manager

It is somewhat ironic that in the games he has played in, even for 5 minutes, the team have performed at their best and eventually got the wins they deserve. I always said he was a better player-manger than a manager stuck on the touchline. In his short spell at DUFC he was injured most of the time and had an abysmal record. So, long may he be able to play but in the meantime let's hope he finds a way to inspire the team to a good run of results from the sidelines when he is no longer able to play!
  22. Yes well done to those who made a 1717 crowd seem 10 times bigger but severe shame on the stewards. Why can't they just lighten up and leave folk to enjoy themselves? The wading in amongst the kids just made matters worse. After all about 1000 Hearts fans were allowed to stand the most of the game on Saturday without the stewards batting an eyelid. I also noticed to my dismay that the 'biggest' steward, that uniform crazy meathead supposedly banned from ever stewarding again seems to be back. After I complained about his reaction and attitude towards me over the display of my son's inoffensive ICT Saltire flag at the end of the 2004/05 season match against the Arabs I was given assurances in a subsequent meeting with a club director that he would never be allowed to set foot in the stadium again. Yet here he was last night wading in amongst the crowd to haul out that lad who was then ejected from the ground. I feel another official complaint to the club coming on.
  23. Bloomin' mercenary would cost too much in wages.
  24. Was that because the stewards were nowhere to be seen Yngwie?
  25. Should have been 6-4 according to Gerry MacNee.
