  1. He still managed to take one decent free kick and two poor ones. Good to hear he is keeping his average up then.
  2. Stick this in yer pipe and smoke it ya wee ginger whinging f*nny. The official match stats as follows: - Inverness CT 7 Shots On Target, Septic 6 Inverness CT 3 Shots Off Target, Septic 5 Inverness CT 3 goals, Septic 2 Was having some banter with some older, more sensible Septic fans on walk from the ground. The only two words they wanted to hear from Strachan were "I resign". They also hoped that Scotland will take him.
  3. Not pretty at times especially when H*bs had control of the midfield in the first part of the second half. However, a timely substitution, second wind for Blackie and a bit of luck (much deserved after the September game at Fester Road) got us back on track. If that last shot from Marius had gone in the roof would have come of the North Stand. That's three H*bs goalies now that have not covered themselves in glory at the TCS. Must be something at the start of their names - Ma-lkowski, Ma-cNeill and Ma-kacalamity. Have to mention the enthusiastic support from the 50 or so lads from Dyce in the KBFE. They helped improved the atmosphere no end and seemed to be enjoying themselves. They had played the ICT youngsters in the morning.
  4. Was it him that scored 2 goals for Romania against Albania last night? P&J has "Niculae" scoring in 64 and 66 mins.

The bowling club is the Caledonian (how apt) and it is on Russell Road, where the away supporters' coaches park. The Caley Sample Room (apt again), just along Angle Park Terrace from Diggers, is also good and less congested. It is the Caledonian Brewery's own pub and serves good lunches as well as great pints of Deuchars and other Caley beers.

I think that what went on before Brewster returned has lot to do with what is happening now. Dods and Brown were never replaced with decent reliable players when Charlie was still in charge. Now the January transfer window can't come quickly enough. It is clear we need an organiser at the back - Pressley on loan from Celtic would have been ideal and we could have had him in August. Grant Munro is lost without someone of that experience. Steven Watt is young has had too many injuries. Caff had too long out of the team to take over. The disorganisation at the first goal yesterday was obvious. Brewster is not entirely blameless though. Malkowski was a bit of a panic signing and came to us with a dodgy reputation. The switching between him and Fraser has not helped. I agree that Bayne should have been hooked at half time. Bayne was clumsy and was never going to get any favours off that ref. Niculae should have been brought on to play alongside Wyness and work the ball on the ground. We were also outnumbered in midfield almost from the kick off yesterday but Brewster failed to counter that. Taking Black off (unless he was injured) was not the answer. The continuous hoofing of high balls up for knock downs showed lack of imagination and is boring to watch unless Brewster himself is prepared to risk his shoulder and play. Tactics need to change or we are going to get turned over every week.

It is somewhat ironic that in the games he has played in, even for 5 minutes, the team have performed at their best and eventually got the wins they deserve. I always said he was a better player-manger than a manager stuck on the touchline. In his short spell at DUFC he was injured most of the time and had an abysmal record. So, long may he be able to play but in the meantime let's hope he finds a way to inspire the team to a good run of results from the sidelines when he is no longer able to play!
  8. Yes well done to those who made a 1717 crowd seem 10 times bigger but severe shame on the stewards. Why can't they just lighten up and leave folk to enjoy themselves? The wading in amongst the kids just made matters worse. After all about 1000 Hearts fans were allowed to stand the most of the game on Saturday without the stewards batting an eyelid. I also noticed to my dismay that the 'biggest' steward, that uniform crazy meathead supposedly banned from ever stewarding again seems to be back. After I complained about his reaction and attitude towards me over the display of my son's inoffensive ICT Saltire flag at the end of the 2004/05 season match against the Arabs I was given assurances in a subsequent meeting with a club director that he would never be allowed to set foot in the stadium again. Yet here he was last night wading in amongst the crowd to haul out that lad who was then ejected from the ground. I feel another official complaint to the club coming on.
  9. Bloomin' mercenary would cost too much in wages.
  10. Was that because the stewards were nowhere to be seen Yngwie?

Should have been 6-4 according to Gerry MacNee.

Thank goodness no one has suggested Malkowski plays against Hearts. Now that could be a disaster given his record against the Jambos.

I think that if Brewster picks himself to play along with Denzil and Niculae we will see Denzil shine again. Both he and Niculae could play deeper and break forward using lay offs from Brewster. It may mean scarificing a midfield player like Barry or playing three at the back.
  14. Ace or Rock Steady, there's no difference. Still the same brainless t**ts they employ. If they had an ounce of common sense between them there would not be incidents like tonight or posts like this.
  15. Am I not right in thinking Romania is a EU member now. If so, why does Marius need a work permit? Another question.......why do I have to pay ipetitions a minimum of $2 to sign the petition?
  16. I thought it was Gary Wood that scored the penalty. He was the one brought down for it and he and Zander had a wee "discussion" about who would take it. Zander's patter was quite funny as well. He first of all called Wood a greedy c**t for not passing to him then was not very complimentary to Blackie for his free kick that was skied over the bar. I'm afraid to say that Cowie didn't impress me at all. Deano faded through lack of service and Rory was gash. However the young trialist goalie looked good as did youngsters Vigurs and Kerr. Am I also right in thinking that the Clach right back was Neil Gibb who used to be on ICT's books? He was one of many Clach players who put in a good performance and made things difficult for us. Full marks to them and I wish them well in the HL this season.
  17. If planning permission and building warrant are required (most likely) don't bet on the temporary stand being in place before Christmas! Huge backlog of applications and staff shortages at the Council to blame. Although there might be some sympathy from certain officials to fast track permissions.

Yes DJS, has to be "I'm Still Standing" by Sir Elton. During last night's concert two of the female stewards were running along the front of the North Stand encouraging folk to stand up and wave their arms during that number. I doubt they'll be doing that on 4th August though.
  19. I had heard that he'd already signed for.....................................ICT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Scotty, Please excuse my ignorance but who are CRC? Costa Rica, Croatia? My uncle lives not far from Burnaby, in White Rock, Surrey, BC, and hopes to get along to the final group game.
  21. ****, or is it Uncle Fester?
  22. What an absolute shambles!!! What is the point in encouraging a singing section then placing stupid restrictions upon them? Why for half an hour before kick off then for the first 25 minutes of the game were they allowed to stand? Then again left alone for the last 20 minutes or so? The actions of the police, stewards and club officials in between time not only threatened to kill of the good atmosphere being created but also constantly distracted us from watching the game. If they had just been left alone there would have been no problems. Once again officialdom operated double standards by ignoring the fact that 500 or so Pars fans stood for most of the game. This reminded me of the heavy handed actions of the stewards almost exactly 2 years ago when we were asked to remove an inoffensive flag from the back wall of the North Stand whilst the Dundee United fans were allowed to invade the pitch, twice. We were so disgusted with the carry on yesterday that we stood up for long periods in the North Stand in protest at our fans being ejected, yet we weren't asked to sit down. Sort it out Mr Smith or you will be flooded with even more letters. PS Has anyone seen or heard from IHE since he was ejected?
  23. OK smart ***, I'm not on here every day nor do I read all other threads. This is because I don't find the boards as interesting as they used to be.
  24. Question: If Motherwell were to be relegated would Gretna still get to groundshare with them? I would think not given that they would be in different leagues just as that factor ruled out us sharing with St Johnstone in 2004/05.
  25. A 4-1 win tonight against Muvverwell so we'd better beware. I also hope the stewards are up to the task of controlling pitch invasions. Remember two years ago when the Arabs came calling?
