"Nobody likes us"
Seriously though, I agree of course with most of the intelligent replies. I DO find that we are almost universally admired and that time may well change that if we continue to become consistently successful. A more traditional rivalry with The Dandies is inevitable in time. I was unaware of the handshake thing being in Colombia at the time. Still seeing the world through those "happy-specs".......nothing to do with anything I took back from my holiday by the way!

"Nobody likes us"
I'm feeling better. So, when people tell me that " nobody likes you", what they are actually saying is that I am handy for buying pies and tickets, giving lifts and supplying occasional first aid to nearby spectators. Phew!

"Nobody likes us"
Strange, slightly paranoid words from Deano in The Scotsman today " Nobody really likes us so it is good to get there (the final) and put in a good performance" I never regarded this as being correct. Insignificant maybe, but we haven't been around long enough, or been successful enough to warrant this tag He also talks about " lingering bad blood between the two sets of players ( Aberdeen) Possible but news to me His final comment is so true to us but possibly complacent/egotistic coming from a player.............. ........." I think we are heroes already if I am honest with you" There will be a lot more of this over the coming weeks. Lets hope Yogi keeps their feet firmly on the ground and their eyes firmly on the ultimate prize

Winless runs
And what, may I ask , were you doing in your living room. I was at that game and had organised a rare stay over in Sneck. it was a very cold day and I had been sitting motionless for several minutes when Rankin let fly. I can still remember, almost in slow motion, erupting to my feet . As I climbed higher and higher.......so did the pain. I had ruptured my calf muscle......I actually felt it seperating as I went. The long limp back to the Travelodge was undertaken with equal measures of joy and anguish. Two weeks off my work soothed things. Was that the season of the squiggler? Note to self.........always warm up before exuberant celebration

I seem to remember that a certain Mr Sheerin may have scored 3 penalties in that game......................and still lost! ALSO A certain Wanderer asked me for odds on there being 8 or more goals in the game.......I can't remember how much he took off me but , as we all know, he has gone on to be Gringo's pred League double champion. As you say Johndo ( or whatever you were then) the good old days

The Pitch Invasion
No-one else amazed that the longest and most elaborate/affectionate pitch invasion that I have ever seen went completely unheeded by security? Maybe the guy was just too big to take on. I, for one, am going to start wearing my running shoes to games from now on................it looks like great fun!

Tulloch Stadium Suitability
I have to concur re the poorly designed stadium. It really is a soulless place. Still it is what it is and we must get on with it. Possibly the real issue is the people that inhabit it , or not as the case is. ICT provided entertainment and quality last season on a level never seen before..........crowds will not incease in numbers or volubility however because that is the way we are. Others are right...........if you don't like it then the time has come for you to seek your Saturday entertainment elsewhere as others have done. Many like myself hanker for the days of Alloa, Arbroath et al but we have risen above that level now and a return would probably signal the end of our club. Of more concern is the plan to introduce average speed cameras on the A9. It would take me all day to get north when that happens..................unless the cameras were unfortunately disabled by some freak accident!

So long Broadwood
Seems like the Ice Station is being vacated by Clyde and that they will be relocating next season. Any good memories of the place out there? It was one of my least favourite venues and I cannot think what they may do with it now. Demolition?
