  1. They've made it to Hampden then :-)
  2. Okay - so this afternoon at Tannadice, I spotted... Scott Brown! Is that better than the BBC?
  3. How much more formidable? Zeroth place in the table rather than first?
  4. Tommy squares it up, and puts it away himself, but that's the dream team that popped into my head as soon as I saw the subject. That doesn't happen often for any club - long may this continue.
  5. Perhaps he'll take a middle line by merging the two - or will he go for the double negative?
  6. If we are nit picking Motherwell was our bogey team singular - was . Two can play at your game. No apostrophes in 'its' Wots a Magistrate? This is Scotland. Shouldn't that be "Wot's"? See http://www.scotland-judiciary.org.uk/39/0/Stipendiary-Magistrates for Scottish magistrates.
  7. Absolutely, and she's about a year older than Judy Murray: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-13585262
  8. I like Florence. I've only been to Florence, not Dougal. Maybe one day they'll merge.
  9. He looks like a renegade to me.

That's easy for you to say.

...and once they play Hearts, that'll give us a game in hand! But I'm putting money on them losing both these games anyway.
  12. Yes, he's apparently been in England, which means he plays when he wants.

exactly what i got from it too. seems someone somewhere has swept it under the carpet. I have to agree with these comments, as there's nobody giving official comments on this on a Sunday night. Hearts clearly thought there was a problem, or they wouldn't have asked. Regardless of the answers given to them, they never tried too hard to find out, as the joint detective work carried out yesterday show he was ineligible. Hearts obviously have the advantage of having Wilson to hand, and he knows this without having to search the archives. In the rules regarding eligibility (thanks to CaleyD on Twitter): 8.2 It shall be the responsibility of each Club participating in the Competition to ensure that its players are eligible to play in any League Cup match. If a player participates in a League Cup match, such player being ineligible to play in the Cup match as a result of his suspension by The Scottish Football Association or for any other reason, the Club for which the player participates in the League Cup match shall be liable to such penalty as the Board may decide. It's "the responsibility of each Club" - not the SFA, SPL, SFL or the English FA.
  14. The laws state: • A goalkeeper who is injured while kicks are being taken from the penalty mark and is unable to continue as goalkeeper may be replaced by a named substitute provided his team has not used the maximum number of substitutes permitted under the competition rules • With the exception of the foregoing case, only players who are on the field of play at the end of the match, which includes extra time where appropriate, are eligible to take kicks from the penalty mark No mention of the keeper being sent off, only injured, so this wouldn't apply. However: • An eligible player may change places with the goalkeeper at any time when kicks from the penalty mark are being taken so, presumably, anyone else on the field at the end of normal play could go in goal.
  15. Isn't it the virtual bridge of the merger?
  16. Ok, but given the choice of straight from the horse's mouth at the Highland League, or via Chinese whispers and/or lazy editing at the BBC, I know who I'm going to believe.
  17. Except all four call-offs are due to waterlogged pitches. Not according to: http://www.highlandfootballleague.com/News/Item/338_Postponed_games_-_Saturday_12_January_2013.aspx Postponed games - Saturday 12 January 2013 Press & Journal Highland League The following games have been postponed Clachnacuddin v Cove Rangers - Frozen Pitch Formartine United v Fort William - Waterlogged Pitch Nairn County v Buckie Thistle - Frozen Pitch Strathspey Thistle v Huntly - Frozen Pitch
  18. So now that's all over, exactly what has Butcher done for us this year? No progress in any cups, and not a single point in the league! Should I look out my slip-ons for the Aberdeen game?
  19. Please don't wok the dog!
  20. I've just dropped his dog back to him....that should tell you everything. That Lorimer's really do make the most filling breakfast in Inverness?
  21. OTJ

Was OTJ the reason for the large Welsh flag in the South stand?
  22. Some fans are realistic. If you accept the best offer made at the time, any time you have anything decent, you'll always have a little bit of money, and nothing decent. You sound like the sort of fan who leaves the stadium just because we're trailing by 3 goals inside 8 minutes.
  23. Yes, at the moment, we'd be a bit of a scalp for them, wouldn't we?
