  1. What a lovely day for a trip to Perth. It may not be fourteen thousand at Hampden but it is a cup final. Let's sing our heads off and bring some silverware up the A9. A chance to create a shaft of light in an otherwise dreary season.
  2. He has huge potential. Surely he deserves a run in the first team between now and the end of the season. He can do no worse than the more senior forwards who have tried and largely failed.
  3. I believe that our figures are similar.
  4. You certainly won't and I have already removed what you did say from public view. If you are serious in your intent to make a six figure investment in or donation to the club you are far better advised to approach the club directly than bragging about it on this public forum. Any further potentially defamatory statements will result in this thread being closed and possible further sanction.
  5. Might just be a spoon full.
  6. Looking at the final table, I'm not entirely convinced that it was Scotland who were over hyped for this year's Six Nations.
  7. Have you seen Billy's record since he left us first time ? He is a striker who is destined to have one purple patch in his career and we were fortunate to benefit from it. He has not shown any signs since that he is remotely capable of hitting those heights ever again.
  8. Whilst always disappointing not to win after taking the lead, most of us would have taken a point at Tannadice this morning. A small step towards avoiding the disaster of successive relegations.
  9. Winning the Challenge Cup would be great fun for a day. Staying in the division and avoiding successive relegations is vital to the very future of the club. I have no doubt which I would prioritise.
  10. That would be s bizarre sense of priority.
  11. That boat sailed a couple of months ago.
  12. Thank goodness for Brechin !
  13. There is no doubting that Yogi had great success but we are now paying the price for his arrogant shortcomings in other respects. In my view, all things considered and in relative terms, our most successful manager was Steve Paterson.
  14. The way wyrhank 15 talks about Hughes you'd think he was Hughes.
  15. Winning and glory is one thing which can never be guaranteed. However, I don't think it's unreasonable even for loyal fans to expect some degree of organisation and planning in the boardroom and a degree of commitment on the pitch. I am unhappy with the state of affairs at our club at the moment. Am I too a glory hunter who should go and 'support one of the top four in the premier' ?
  16. The urgent task between now and the end of the season is to remain ahead of Dumbarton and thus in the division at any costs. A successive relegation will , without doubt, mean part time football at the very best. Assuming we do that, we need to have a root and branch review of what's being going on at the club from top to bottom. We have been drifting downwards for the best part of your years. Somehow or other that drift needs to be arrested before it results in years of mediocrity and derby matches against Elgin rather than County. The spirit that was developed under Pele and maintained under Robertson, first time around and under Butcher began to be eroded under Hughes and has now all but disappeared. Very concerning. A properly functioning fans association properly representative with a presence on the board would be a big help in getting things back on track.
  17. Effectively, only three of our remaining games have real significance and they are all against Dumbarton. If we had the cash to do it, I would be inclined to replace the manager for next season but I very much doubt we have the resources to do so.
  18. Given our 'West Stand', I honestly think you should stop throwing stones from our glass house.
  19. We just need to be flexible and get these fixtures played. We are developing an unfortunate reputation for moaning.
  20. The poison surrounding these games is never a good advert for Scottish football or Scotland in general.
  21. The national league system is the SPFL (Scottish Professional Football League) If you are asking which division then my answer is the Championship.
  22. After today, it's looking increasingly likely that we will be facing County in the league next season.
  23. We spent it pretty well when we reached two major cup finals, winning one of them, consistently being in the top six and qualifying for Europe. We are going through a bad spell just now but most clubs with our level of resourses do from time to time.
  24. He was there to promote the Edinburgh derby. I have no issue with that.
  25. Of course we do but generally far fewer than in January and February.
