  1. It would be interesting to see whether any of those who thought it was a good idea to give Craig Brewster even more time are still of that opinion.
  2. So far so good.......
  3. The Old ICT spirit is back ! I was quietly confident we could sneak a point but the win is a real bonus. Nobody would have contemplated winning at Ibrox 6 short weeks ago under Brewster.
  4. Aberdeen's last minute equaliser in Paisley keeps St Mirren nicely in sight as well if we can gather two or three victories before the split.
  5. I would agree with that.
  6. There's an ASDA store just of the M8 only aq few minutes walk from the ground. You could always park there.
  7. The pitch has never been quite the same since the undersoil heating system, was installed but I've seldom seen it look as poor as it did on Saturday. Two more successive Saturday home games are unlikely to help.
  8. It was obvious from before the start of the season that we would struggle in the SPL without a single experienced striker on the books and that's an issue which wasn't addressed either by Brewster or Butcher in the transfer window. I agree Imrie up front is not ideal as he's not a striker but he does provide a lot of energy in that position and dispupts opposition defences even if he doesn't carry a huge goal threat. Given our lack of resources up front I can well understand why Butcher persists in playing him as a forward.

    Adam Rooney

He is potentially our best striker but there's no doubt that he's a bit away yet from being the finished article.
  10. He is the sort of solid reliable central defender we have been missing since Dods departed. Unless his salary demands are grossly excessive I'd like to see him signed on a two and a half or even a three and a half year contract just as soon as possible.
  11. Moitherwell are a strong improving tem. I'm not too disheartened by our performance or the result. I don't believe that the wheels have come off the Butcher bandwagon just a bit of a bump on a pothole strwn road to SPL safety.
  12. Never doubted he would be a success.
  13. There was never any doubt about his ability as a player. For that reason I agree with Bronson.
  14. Falkirk, St Mirren Kilmarnock, I don't care which we end the season ahead of as long as it's at least one of them !
  15. I believe the tickets for the Falkirk game have been selling really well over the last few weeks and I too would expect the crowd to be between 5-6,000 and possibly 6K+ if the weather is good on the day.... A crowd approaching 6,000 would be very acceptable but still a surprise in my book.
  16. Hibs can't be as bad as that every week otherwise they'd be where we are in the table.
  17. Aberdeen have expressed an interest in doing the same thing.
  18. Still begs the question if he's fit enough to play why didn't he turn out for us, even as a sub, when wew were crying out for an experienced striker ?
  19. Hard to believe it's the same player who was so inconsistent for Ross County and so consistently poor, on his limited opportunities under Craig Brewster.
  20. Must bode well for the future.
  21. Well done lads for showing the big team the way.
  22. Welcome. Always nice to have another Jaggy on board !
  23. Not the best of games but the old ICT are back; dogged, hard working and difficult to beat but the way Hibs played it was difficult to believe that it was us propping up the division rather than them. The fact that we've made up ground on Falkirk, Kilmarnock and St Mirren is bound to be grounds for optimism.
  24. That Boxing Day game was a cracker. The home end was just about full for a change too and the result was the icing on that particular christmas cake.
  25. These are the sort of games we must start winning. Draws in these sort of fixtures are no longer enough ig we are going to narrow the gap on our relegation rivals.
