  1. My personal favourite:
  2. These kind of stats always seem to record milestone goals scored, but not conceded! Who had the honour of picking the ball out of the ICT net for the 1,000th time? I'd guess Esson.
  3. Looks like we should reach our 1,000th game near the end of season 2016/17. Sooner if we make it to the group stages.....
  4. Presumably St Mirren will get the very same 58 applicants as Motherwell!
  5. On the subject of goal stats, it struck me after Billy's goal at Dens that there probably aren't that many strikers who have scored a perfectly valid goal with their hand. I also wondered if the stattos, who record how the world's top strikers have scored each of their goals, have a category for hand and it seems they do. When Messi broke La Liga's scoring record, his tally was announced as: left foot 206, right foot 36, head 8, hand 1. The difference is that his one was a deliberate handball that should have been a yellow card not a goal. Couldn't get his head to a cross so he punched it in and the ref never noticed.
  6. Luckily for us he was never injured. I guess the point is we seem less dependent on him than before as our only significant source of goals and therefore points. I still want him to get 20 this season though!
  7. All competitions: 5 - Mckay, Watkins 4 - Tansey 3 - Doran, Christie, Meekings I suppose our current top scorers table is far more evenly distributed than any of us would have predicted back in the summer, and in some respects that's no bad thing.
  8. Isn't Terry still getting paid by Hibs? IIRC they relieved him of his duties but never terminated his employment. If that is still the case, it wouldn't stop him getting the job if Well think he's the man, but Terry won't be getting much out of it financially, he'll just be having to actually do some work for his pay!
  9. Dundee defender tries to hook it clear and it comes of Mckays hand and goes in. Hand of God?
  10. According to Sunday Times 6 are being interviewed including Butcher, Shiels, Kenny Black and Rob Maaskaant (Dutchman, who was at their game yesterday).
  11. Indeed. Took him a year though!

  13. Delighted with this result, gutted I couldn't be there to experience the joy of a late winner. I never miss a game at Dens but somehow my daughter's birthday party got arranged for this afternoon, grrr. Just glad that it was Dundee's defence who were playing musical statues.
  14. Great stuff, ICT.
  15. Excellent stuff. Maybe time to bring on a fringe player or two?
  16. If you've ever wondered how these appeals actually work, the last 2 minutes of this Jim Spence interview with the former SFA Compliance Officer are about Terry Butcher trying to overturn ICT red cards, with his usual passion. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30138408
  17. Indeed. I suspect that never again in my lifetime will ICT be joint top of the Premier League in December. In that respect, this is as good as it gets, so let's enjoy and appreciate what we are seeing just now.
  18. Was that with pensioner discount?!

    Oh Well!

BBC Gossip section: Inverness midfielder Marley Watkins was "shaken up" after writing his car off when avoiding a deer but says he is fine to play in today's home game against Motherwell.
  20. It's an act of kindness towards the good folk of Elgin : a chance for them to see a higher standard of football than they are used to, and a chance to see Premier League players of the future rather than ones from the very distant past!
  21. Great find. It's both fascinating and mind boggling! The club can use this data to boost attendances - what our fans really want is Woody Guthrie played over the tannoy, golf scores to be read out at half time, Thai Fish Curry Puffs at the kiosk, and copies of Conde Naster Traveller to be sold by the programme sellers.
  22. Bold move, that one! You certainly can't fault the club for trying. The horse is being led to water.....
  23. Here's a wee challenge for anyone with too much time on their hands. I'd be interested to know which teams: 1. we have played most times 2. we have the largest number of wins against 3. we have the largest number of defeats to There was definitely a time (probably about 8 or so years ago) that the team we had lost to the most was Falkirk. I suspect it is now Celtic. As for our largest number of wins, it it would be nice if it were County, although I'd expect St Mirren to be up there too.
  24. And here is that anorak, with Renegade and myself looking on enviously. Meanwhile, Sneckboy was overjoyed at receiving his well deserved accolade.
