  1. An awful lot of things went wrong today, but that aside, Utd just looked like they wanted it more. Perhaps that shouldn't be a surprise as it was the biggest game of their season, but seemed a bit of an unwelcome distraction for us.
  2. Just how many records are we setting today?
  3. After today's match there might be a queue of people trying to return their tickets!
  4. If the 5-0 last week was a bad day at the office, what is this - gross misconduct?
  5. Think you will find they do, it's maybe passed you unnoticed that our average home attendance is dropping each year It has certainly dropped since County came into the SPL, and that is no coincidence.
  6. 15 minutes on the pitch. According to BBC, NI haven't scored in an away friendly for 8 years. Edit to add : and Cyprus haven't scored a goal of any form for a year. So perhaps 0-0 was always the likely outcome.
  7. Billy is on the bench for this one.
  8. Agdestein scored on his trial/debut for Haugesund the other day in a 4-1 win. Think it was just a pre-season friendly.
  9. It's all my fault, the other day I was praising our fantastic defensive record this season as we had achieved 4 consecutive clean sheets. Even after this mauling, in 26 games we have conceded just 26 goals - and the remarkable thing is that half of them came in just 3 games, showing how tight we've been in the other 23 matches!
  10. Haven't heard it but looking at the words, would it by any chance be based on the old Slade song? (Ask yer dads!)
  11. Remember the days of following the scores on Ceefax?!
  12. On the subject of call-ups, Billy is again in the NI squad and will be heading out to Cyprus next week. Another well earned cap beckons, but on this occasion I'd kind of prefer he was getting a wee rest!
  13. As a result of our goals last night, County have now conceded more goals than even Hearts, and now boast the worst defensive record in the league with 49 goals against. Remarkably ICT have only conceded 21, bettered only by Celtic. To put this in context, our rivals Aberdeen and Motherwell have conceded 26 and 39 respectively. This must be ICT's best defence ever, and the keeper's nae bad either.
  14. And as a wee added bonus, Watkins goal pushed County 1 place further down the league on goal difference.
  15. Great result! Doubt it would have turned out so well if the lights had stayed on in the original game. And well done Dave the Rave - first ICT goal in 63 appearances, I think. And with all this recent talk of Fraser Forster, which keeper is on the longest run of shut-outs?
  16. You'd think they could afford to be a bit more sympathetic to out-of-pocket fans given the £100,000 they've reportedly received for Kevin "The Goals" Luckassen, or are they using that money to finally upgrade the electricity supply capacity. That amazes baffles me. They get him on a free, he fails to score in 16 appearances, and then rather than paying him off like some of their other foreign duds, they end up with a windfall. Jammy sods - but we need to use whichever agent brokered that deal!
  17. Update : Agdestein is training with FK Haugesund in Norway. It's a club which was formed from a merger 20 years ago!
  18. Whilst pre-match drinking would be great, I'm also inclined to get to the ground long before I normally do, to soak up (and create!) the cup final atmosphere.
  19. I didn't think it welcomed anyone!
  20. My view: Brill: 7 Raven: 6 Warren: 7 Meekings: 7 Shinnie: 7 Tansey: 7 Draper: 6 Doran: 5 Foran: 6 Watkins: 5 McKay: 5
  21. There are some mindboggling fixture days and times, like home to Germany on Monday after being away to Georgia on the Friday. Why has 3pm on Saturday been consiogned to the history books? Sunday 7 September: Germany v Scotland (19.45) Saturday 11 October: Scotland v Georgia (17:00) Tuesday 14 October: Poland v Scotland (19:45) Friday 14 November: Scotland v Republic of Ireland (19.45) Sunday 29 March 2015: Scotland v Gibraltar (17:00) Saturday 13 June 2015: Republic of Ireland v Scotland (17:00) Friday 4 September 2015: Georgia v Scotland (17:00) Monday 7 September 2015: Scotland v Germany (19:45) Thursday 8 October 2015: Scotland v Poland (19:45) Sunday 11 October 2015: Gibraltar v Scotland (19:45)
  22. Well deserved win, but it has to be said, Saints were very poor. Our defense did really well to keep May (and later Iwelumo) out of the game.
  23. If it's good enough for Yogi!... Don't joke about it, he's got one of those personal injury lawyers pursuing ICT, and Jagster can probably put a claim in too!
  24. You might be best driving to the stadium, Rod!
  25. Just make sure you're not planning on getting a train that started in Aberdeen!
