  1. Traynor's show is "Your Call", but it's not about you or your comments, it's all about him. Anyway, if I can can nitpick on the point CaleyD was making. Rejoining ICT was actually a step up for Brewster as he was not in management at the time. Think of his career as a game of snakes and ladders. Step up - ICT manager Step up - Dundee Utd manager Slide down a huge snake - sacked Step up - Aberdeen player Step up - ICT manager again There would seem to be more snakes than ladders on the horizon for him, but it all depends if he gets the luck of the "Board".
  2. This hasn't been a great day to be an ICT fan, with Sunderland as your English team.
  3. Having just seen the highlights, the 2 key decisions were even more blatantly wrong than any of us imagined at the time. Absolutely shocking decisions.
  4. I'm guessing that most of the now 20,000+ complainers have never heard of Ross or Brand, but they read about it all in the Daily Mail and were outraged! To me, their only offence is not being particularly funny or justifying their enormous salaries.

I was delighted to see Esson get a start last night, but came away thinking we should stick with Fraser.
  6. We were no worse than Falkirk last night, and didn't deserve to lose. Couldn't tell from our end if their goal was offside but Brewster was raging at the ref. Rooney looked to be brought down from behind when through on goal and just in the box, play on! Positives? Duff was our best defender, which maybe isn't saying much as the other 3 were very poor, particularly when in possession. Wood was better than I've seen him before and caused a few problems (unlike Barrowman...) and Rooney had a few good touches and was quite lively. Things to work on : free kicks from 25-30 yards. We won a handfull of them and wasted every single one.
  7. That'll be why Kingsmills failed to mention the scores then! Selective memory rather than ailing memory!
  8. Well I'm going now, so that might take us up to 75?
  9. Does this also mean the club have no excuses not to sign Bobby Mann?
  10. I'm told the Friday board meeting went as follows : "So much longer do we give that Spanish bloke?" "Juande?" "At the most!"
  11. Single - was either Bucks Fizz "Making your mind up" or Ultravox "Vienna" Both classics, but can't remember which was first. LP - Adam and the Ants, "Kings of the wild frontier"
  12. People have talked about the importance of having experienced strikers, which may be true, but at the end of the day both Woods and Rooney have more goals this season than many very experienced SPL strikers, like Dargo and Wyness.
  13. Healthy and refreshing, so a big thumbs up from me. I trust they won't be making any prophets from their fundraising campaign?
  14. I think the club usually pays for the travel and accommodation. But you've got to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince.
  15. When people say Scottish notes are not legal tender they are right, but all the term legal tender means is notes that must be accepted as settlement of a debt ordered by a court of law. Scottish notes are however legal currency. That's what someone told me in the pub once anyway, so it must be correct.
  16. I might have some old anoraks in the garage, interested?
  17. An extremely distasteful wind-up, the sort of thing Leeds fans have dished out many times.....
  18. Can't we train our players to use both feet equally?
  19. The commentator definitely said that Stoke have got an option to take him back. The negotiations to get him here were lengthy, with Stoke initially wanting just a loan deal with a recall option, so it would be no surprise that when we finally got our man thay still have some sort of option. Unless he starts banging in a serious number of goals though, I can't see it being anything to worry about.
  20. Nae luck for Sunderland, and for Kieran Richardson in particular, v Fulham on Saturday, With the keeper beaten, his free kick hit the inside of the post, bounced on the line, hit the opposte post, bounced back along the line, hit the keeper and then hit the post for the 3rd time. Can't say I've seen that before. Just to compound his bad luck, he hit a cracking free kick into the net later on, only for the ref to rule it out due to some alleged pushing in the wall. Match of the Day showed what actually happened : Sunderland had sent Chimbonda into the Fulham wall, which unsettled them a bit, so Jimmy Bullard reaches across and strokes Chimbonda's c**k, and then does it again just as the free kick is about to be taken! Can't say I've seen that before either.
  21. The concensus seems to be that he offers much more of an attacking threat than Hastings, but is less reliable as a defender. Mind you, Hastings looked pretty poor to me v Celtic.

Ewan Murray? Unfortunate face? That's him. He covers Scottish football for the Guardian. He would have a greater readership if he posted his articles here.
