  1. I think they are for commonly used diversion routes. So if there is a road closed a sign might be put up saying For Wigan follow [yellow square] For Preston follow [black triangle] etc
  2. He said gaming, but not gambling
  3. I don't look forward to budget day, every one I can remember has made me worse off and I fear this one could be really bad. Anyway EWS, the thing about ladders is that you are meant to start at the bottom, and sometimes that means living somewhere scummy*, or further out than you would like. But at least it gets you on the ladder. * However, I take no responsibility for this advice if you end up getting stabbed.
  4. Would Ladbrokes accept a multi-billion pound bet on "Bathplug" at 100/1 from 11 Downing Street? It's the only way he'll be able to bail out the economy.
  5. Unfortunately our team has shown this season that when the pressure is on in the crucial games, they bottle it and put in a terrible performance. If we go into that last game needing a result, we will get relegated. Edit to add: Examples of failing to rise to the occassion - v Falkirk in the league cup, v Falkirk in the Scottish Cup, v Falkirk recently in the league. Doesn't bode well!
  6. A real low point in their history!
  7. 5/1 is very generous for "Hard Working Families", as it seems to have be a compulsory sound bite for any economic speech/interview over the last 10 years. In fact if they could offer 10/1 on "for hard working families everywhere" I'd stick my negative equity on it.
  8. It's 21 days until the final whistle of our next encounter with them, but I believe they have started timewasting already.
  9. Is the Hamilton game on Setanta? I'm trying to remember if this will be the first time we have been televised against a non-OF team? I know that we are the least televised team this season. That's not a criticism of Setanta, we just haven't been worth watching.
  10. Perhaps we should request something from ICT for that dismal performance at Falkirk. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8006621.stm
  11. Well its my bidet too, so I'll have an extra drink on your behalf. Why can't you drink and be merry?
  12. Hamilton must love playing us. They can be poor but still always win.
  13. There's certainly a connection there at the very least :
  14. The seller posts on here as FourFourTwo - check out his post on the For Sale/Swap forum.

    Setanta

The problem for Setanta isn't really that they paid too much in England, it's that after the recent auction they will only have 23 Premiership games a season in future, compared to their current 46. The fear is that not many of their current 1.5m subscribers (or advertisers) will keep paying when there are so few games. (They had less than 200,000 subscribers before they got the Premiership rights).
  16. Hear hear. I'm trying to recall if we have ever "lost" a regular poster?
  17. Methil used to have coal mines, but now its just the pits.
  18. Robbo now linked with East Fife. which is the safer place to live, Liberia or Methil?
  19. One positive that we can take is that unlike most our rivals, ICT have never wasted a huge amount of money on transfer fee and wages for a total dud.
  20. Surely not paying ransoms is actually the only way. Although the short term consequences would not be pallatable.
  21. The Ostrich Stand, because its wings are pretty useless? And it's also played host to some "head in the sand" mentality.
  22. Took me a couple of seconds, but
  23. The best 4-4 games since ICT v Alloa. I'm surprised the commentators didn't say so.
  24. I'm not really interested in this job which I haven't even been interviewed for, but it's a good opportunity to remind people that I'm still available and will consider pretty much anything. And who can blame him. Good luck Robbo!
  25. Dorman? Good player on great form. Could be their saviour.
