  1. Kelso (where I went through school*) * went through it in a Peugeot 205, and got suspended :021:
  2. Killie are desperate for a striker. Hamilton desperately need SPL experience. A club would have to be desperate to consider him.
  3. He was indeed very smug when he left us. But that was 6 years ago, we've all moved on since then (and in that time we have progressed a lot more than he has!). Still, we must have one of the highest pedigree U-15 coaches in the SPL which can't be bad.
  4. I used to have a summer job in an old folks home, where at morning coffee time one of the old dears insisted on a mug of tea and coffee mixed together, with 6 sugars. At least I always got that one right. (She had actually been a senior politician in the MacMillan government, and arrived at the home from the House of Lords where she'd been serving despite being totally doolally.)
  5. Well, they didn't seem to have much trouble scoring against us.
  6. :010: If true, then I find it somewhat reassuring that Brew realises that our central defence is inadequate.
  7. Should we be worried about our defence? Even more worried than before?

    Fans V Players

I can't decide which bit made me smile most : the 17 players on the pitch, or Save Our Staggies closing due to lack of interest :003:

    Ryan Esson

He was a good prospect many years ago but his career seems to have fared rather dismally in the last last few seasons, not helped by some bad luck. No idea what he's like as a keeper these days, but with his career profile its the sort of move that could work out well for all concerned.
  10. This topic has been moved to NON - ICT. [iurl]http://www.caleythistleonline.com/community/index.php?topic=7297.0[/iurl]
  11. He scored a very meagre 8 goals in the SPL and barely justified a place in the team for much of last season. 6 months ago many fans would have been delighted for someone to take him off our hands on a free. He has improved since then, driven by the possibility of an international recall. But for me, the point at which I would hesitate to sell him would be around ?200,000.
  12. Interesting that the first choice defence played together. Probably a good idea, help them get to know each other this season. Anyone know which game Brewster was at?
  13. At least in Belarus they are identifying BEFORE the match that the ref isn't fit for purpose!

  15. County seem to be forgetting what the role of a feeder club is. Ideas above their station.
  16. No, you should be disgusted wi yourself for failing to distinguish between fact and journalistic speculation!

Yes, and it would seem that he cashed in at the peak of the company's value. Obviously believes in selling off prime assets before their value starts to decline.....
  18. R_I doesn't actually state who made the decision, player or club. Perhaps he was offered an extension, turned it down leaving the club with little option but to cash in while they can. Despite Niculae's diplomacy and tact, it is unimaginable that a striker playing for the 12th ranked country in the world settle for playing on a modest salary for a small provincial club in one of Europe's diddy leagues.
  19. This evening I saw a car with the registration plate "JAM80S". The car was maroon too. Very good, but you wouldn't want to park it in Leith. I've also seen "R41TH" in Fife. I'll be asking Santa for "C4LEY" Any other good ones?
  20. His debut for Watford was a win over Chelsea - in which the only goal was scored by ex-ICT Alan Smart. It's fate. He was born in Paramaribo (Surinam), which also gave the world Aron Winter, Clarence Seedorf, Edgar Davids and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, so he MUST be good*. * I'm conveniently overlooking Regi Blinker.
  21. I suppose it is possible that Niculae has a release clause that has been triggered by a bid, so the club have been obliged to notify him, hence the meeting?
  22. We may have plenty of defenders now, but not enough quality. We will be leaking goals all season (again) with that line-up. Not good enough I'm afraid.
