  1. You mean they reached the conclusion that France could be tougher opponents than Gretna or Arbroath? :004:
  2. The Perthshire Advertiser confirms what will come as no surprise to any of us, that St Johnstone and Dunfermline are very interested in Bayne. The article goes on to say : "The 28 year old still has 12 months left on his contract, but has indicated he would be prepared to talk to the Pars and Saints" Really?
  3. Can't believe he missed the opportunity to tell you to feck aff!
  4. "unfashionable Inverness" :015:
  5. So if they phone you up wanting your prediction for a feature as to where ICT will finish next season, and offer you a billion quid for it, you'll tell them to f off?
  6. I seem to recall a 2-2 draw in Galashiels, must have been about 1989? The Fairies were a team that were always in contention for a league place but have disappeared into obscurity in recent years. Which is a bit of a shame because in terms of geography and catchment area they would be better than most of the current contenders.
  7. That Ouzo does terrible things.....
  8. The Hinkel-Tokely swap is more realistic than them getting ?3m for Killen.
  9. I seem to recall that the opposition had a name like St Marks? I dug out an old Betamax with various ICT clips on it, but I didn't get beyond the first thing on the tape which was us winning the first division, including news footage of a group of us in front of the Innes singing " Are you watching Ross County?!" Happy days. :003:
  10. And don't give your business to companies that use overseas call centres!
  11. The only positive I can come up with is that the Ballinluig roadworks are finished. And if that ain't enough to reinvigorate your enthusiasm, Big Dougie can always provide a pole for Mantis to dance around. See, you'd miss the banter!
  12. I find it very entertaining and interesting, mainly for non-musical reasons. It's a fascinating insight into the culture of the countires who ultimately control Europe and the UK. On the one hand you've got Eastern European nations craving acceptance by the west and seeing Eurovision as a way to achieve this, entering their top stars and spending millions on production, meanwhile established western nations take the p1ss out of the whole thing (apart from the UK, who don't really know how to approach it any more). Musically, amongst the dross there are always a couple of pleasant surprises and credible songs that would stand up well in whatever their genre is. However I haven't been sreiously into any Eurovision acts since Bucks Fizz in 1981.
  13. I suspect it will be Graham Norton, because he seems to host everything, and I suppose its a show where being over the top, camp and rather annoying are useful attributes. By the way, anyone who thinks Eurovision is crap clearly doesn't understand it!
  14. He wants a pay rise.
  15. 23rd equal, could have been worse :015:
  16. Forget Rockness and T in the Park, this is the musical highlight of the year. Where do you reckon the UK will finish this year? I'd guess around 21st out of 25. An instantly forgettable song, nobody likes us, and the singer is the wrong colour to get any votes from the Eastern Europe nations that dominate the voting.
  17. And with the Celtic fans staying behind at Tannadice to celebrate, both sets of fans will be travelling along the A90 and A9 at the same time!
  18. I saw the other day that Paul Sheerin has set some sort of record with St Johnstone for making 132 consecutive appearances. I seem to remember that Mark Brown holds the record with ICT. Anyone know our record for an outfield player?
  19. Companies have to send their annual accounts to shareholders, and also file them with Companies House. Anyone can get them from the Companies House website for a couple of quid.
  20. Brewster's winner v Hearts to get us our first points of the season.
  21. An absolute gentleman, a very sad loss.

    SPL 07/08 XI

I would agree with TCF on Hutton. De Vries on the other hand......
  23. It's often been said that Gretna are an embarrasment, shouldn't be in the SPL etc, but despite their problems and playing all their games away from home, they have actually competed far, far better than Derby have in the Premiership : 23 pts v 11.
