  1. Dennis has scored more than 10% of ICT's all time goals tally, so it would be well deserved if he claimed this milestone.
  2. Kind of like a BOGOF deal then? Bargain!
  3. For many years the geographical isolation of the Highlands was seen by central belters as a reason not to allow a team into the league. 14 years on, what travel difficulties visiting teams have had? Not much, from what I can remember. - Gretna spent 6 hours on the bus due to snow. - Clydebank's bus heater wasn't working, and this apparently had an adverse effect on their performance. (would it have been Ian McCall who came out with that one?) - Celtic or Rangers probably suffered a wee bit of turbulence here and there. - St Mirren supporters' bus went home without the fans. :015: Any others?
  4. Was there not once an agent who came on here making legal threats?
  5. In other words they didn't want him? Not good news for us. The fact that he would have been allowed to leave confirms that he's not in the manager's plans, and Brew might have been relying on that wage being freed up to make another signing this month. I wouldn't be surprised if we try to farm him out before the window shuts.
  6. Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere here, but apparently the former Albion manager Chapman agreed to join ICT as U19 coach, but pulled out when he was offered the Dumbarton job.
  7. What happens if Rory does not impress at Peterhead, and still looks out of his depth against part-time lower league players? I just hope for his sake he's gone there with the right attitude and sees it as an opportunity.
  8. You'll need to explain for those of us who weren't there. Is this something that happened in the gents?
  9. Get yer coat Mantis.....
  10. My attachment is not emotional, but instead takes the form of a named brick. For that reason ICT should stay at TCS forever and ever, amen. Or until my brick falls off. (I said Brick!)
  11. Fantastic news, and well deserved. Is it here or at Old Trafford?!
  12. I seem to recall that in the early 80s the way for players to celebrate a goal was by kissing their teammates. Did this affectionate celebration get outlawed in any way, or did it just go out of fashion as players realised that it was a bit, err, unnecessary?
  13. What you'll also note from those highlights is that Tokely was involved in most of our attacks. A defender can't be in two places at once, and it's up to the manager to decide how he should play. McGuire is responsible for more crucial mistakes per game played than Tokely, but gets off without criticism and everyone wants to sign him. Funny old game.
  14. I think Broonie got lucky once, but I'm sure someone will have the stats.
  15. He had a fantastic record. Get Calder in to give Mikey a few tips on penalties (but not on coming for crosses, shudder........) Fraser probably learnt a lot from Broonie, who was equally unsuccessful.
  16. Unused sub today. Rutkiewicz and Anderson are nothing special at the back so I can see him getting starts, although Kevin James will be back from injury soon.
  17. Some poor games by Rossco gives an interesting dilemma for the manager, but the situation is somewhat reminiscent of the fans calling for Fraser to be dropped a couple of months ago. Better the devil you know? From what little we have seen of him I would say Proctor is no less likely to make mistakes or be caught out.
  18. Commentator described him several times as "the weakest link". Mind you, they had previously referred to him as Ross County! Will be interesting to hear what our own fans have to say.
  19. [i've removed a few posts that made reference to personal lives]
  20. Nothing on the official site, but it's on Wikipedia today (so it must be true!)
  21. Meanwhile Dundee Utd, whose players witnessed something horrific at close quarters, are going ahead with their home match against out of form Hearts.
  22. So long as your balls aren't a funny shape you'll be fine.

    You've answered your own question!
  24. A very loyal servant rather than legend IMO, but a player who has contributed an awful lot to us in his 7 years at the club. Highlight of his time with us, as previously mentioned, came at a time when Fuller was the most in form and hyped striker in Scotland. Caff performed brilliantly at Tynecastle to help us claim what is still one of our best ever results.
  25. I suspect people might wish to comment on and discuss the merits of postponing this and other matches this week, and I think it would be better if that happened on a dedicated thread like this rather than the one paying tribute. This decision surprised me as I wasn't aware of any calls from anyone to call the OF game off. I can't say I agree with it myself, but I completely understand the reasons why. It makes me wonder if there is any momentum gathering behind the scenes to postpone all of this week's games?
