  1. I'd like to think that if we are paying a transfer fee it's going to be a really good player. Although if back in the summer we (allegedly) offered £50k for John Stewart, that may not necessarily be the case! My money would be on the Buchanan lad from Cowdenbeath.
  2. Brewster always looked slow but tonight he was slooooooooooooooow. But he still has the vision and touch to be a huge threat.
  3. Two questions : 1) Who should it be? 2) Who will it be? The BBC suggests a fanciful list of contenders including David Moyes, Billy Davies, Alex McLeish, as well as the usual suspects of Tommy Burns, Joe Jordan, Kenny Dalglish and Graeme Souness. International management these days seems to appeal to experienced managers looking for semi-retirement (what do they do for the other 357 days a year?) and I cannot imagine any rising star managing at a high level being remotely interested. You will also get decent mid-level managers looking for a pay rise. So managers likely to be keen would surely be Jimmy Calderwood and Jim Jefferies (and probably Ian McCall :015: ) Not sure if Levein would want it yet, and I think Sir Alex has unfinished business. I'll be very disappointed if they play the "continuity" card and go for Tommy Burns (who led us to a 4-1 defeat to Sweden in his only game in charge).
  4. The SFA versus The Crown, with Rangers fielding Donald Findlay in defence!
  5. Someone tell Graeme Bennett to be wary if St Mirren bid for Dargo and insist on paying in used notes!
  6. Perhaps we need a "Credible Rumours" forum, distinct from the kind of p1sh, nonsense and sheer fantasy that is being fabricated this week!
  7. I posted the same thing a couple of weeks ago - but Roy must have read it, cos he has improved significantly since then.

    SFA

The SFA have to be SEEN to stand up to Rangers. But behind closed doors everyone involved understands exactly what will happen next.
  9. The one from 1966 must be pretty rare!
  10. I wanted to join in with "Went to mow a meadow" but found it all too complicated. Could someone write down the words for me?
  11. Mifthebino, did your team play poorly today? I expected a lot more from a team that has been having a great season and would surely fancy their chances, but couldn't work out if it was just because we were atttacking so well.
  12. Agreed, I'd have happily paid £30 for the entertainment we got :003:
  13. Excellent attacking performance, and a great travelling support. Great afternoon's entertainment. Dargo looked sharp, and scored an absolute beauty that even the Albinos were applauding. For the avoidance of doubt I'm talking about his second. The first one ain't gonna win any awards! But for me Wyness was clear man of the match. He was a constant threat, picking up the ball in midfield and running at them, shimmying, and linking up neatly with anyone in the vicinity. A joy to watch. :021: Sadly I have to mention that Rory still looked well out of his depth, even against a defeated and demoralised 2nd division side. He is destined for the Highland League, the sooner the better.
  14. The way Eddie Thompson has conducted himself on transfer bids involving ICT has been extremely underhand, every Arab I know cringes with embarrassment and apologises for it. In Div 1 it maybe started with his moves to lure Steve Paterson, who was offered the manager's job but eventually declined. ET then tried to deny that he wanted Paterson, and effectively announced on TV that our club's directors were liars.
  15. Considering the league table over recent seasons, RiG describing Utd as a "middle of the league team" must be the biggest compliment they've had for years.
  16. Yeah, one of her Arab pals gets the inside info.

    Hi im New!!

    Her sister is Rebecca :016:
  18. They don't need a manager - the fans seem to be in charge of team selection.
  19. I certainly don't recall paying - I was pretty skint back then (not to mention tight) so I can't imagine that I would have paid to park. But it was a long time ago and maybe I'm getting confused. Do you still try your "I'm one the club's directors" routine?
  20. Does anyone know if the car park at the ground still free?
  21. In Scottish Cup games last year or the year before, Tennents were sponsoring a competition where a fan took 3 penalties and had to hit the left post, right post and the bar. Not easy to achieve, but simple to run.
  22. I was last at Forthbank for that game we won 5-1 in Div 2, but I'm fairly sure it was just a few days after Stirling had beaten Hibs in one of the cups.
