  1. I was just at work that day, after which we had our weekly 5-a-side but with none of the usual banter, minds were elsewhere. I think ICT were away to Albion Rovers in the League Cup that evening and won 2-0, but few really cared. Later that month my girlfriend and I were booked to go on holiday to New York. We didn’t really want to go, but flights resumed in time and we established that we weren’t entitled to any sort of refund if we cancelled so we just went. The flight was a bit scary, much of it spent looking suspiciously at a Muslim man in a nearby seat. Once there the place was quiet with few tourists but we were made incredibly welcome in shops and restaurants. It was so harrowing to see home made missing person posters all over the place, condolence books at fire stations, and smoke still rising from the scene. On our last day there the Empire State Building reopened so we went up it (not much queue…). We watched any approaching planes slightly nervously, but life goes on. I’d love to go back in more normal times.

    Curses.....

It can’t be often that a manager gets this award for his first month in his first job as a manager.
  3. One of the best results in recent years. Terrific defending, and as the game went on Austria just ran out of ideas and I never expected them to equalise, even though experience has taught me to expect the worst when it comes to Scotland.
  4. Some woeful finishing on display. I think it’s 3 wins in 12 matches, against Moldova, Luxembourg and Faroes, and 2 of those were 1-0. We have some very good players but we are not a very good team.
  5. 2-0 now, an absolute goalfest by our standards!
  6. Well, I can almost get us Harry Kane…..
  7. Still an hour to go before it closes in Scotland!
  8. Transfer fees quoted in the media are often the maximum it can get to with add ons etc. Also, the amount the buying club pays is more than the selling club actually receives because of agents taking their cut.
  9. The Sun say Transfer fee is £1m, Record says £1.5m and perhaps less credibly one or two Tweeters say £2.5m. Whichever, Bournemouth are getting a bargain and ICT are hopefully getting a 6 figure sum in a season when it is very much needed.
  10. A sell on clause can only be positive so you can’t really think of it as “hitting us”. Plus, if Celtic keep hold of him until his contract expires in January we would get nothing at all.
  11. From our selfish perspective it’s a pity for us he didn’t move a year ago when his stock was high and his contract had 2 years to run.
  12. It was a great team move and good play from Gardyne that led to the shot on goal, but really, the keeper made a bit of a mess of it.
  13. Sea is on the right as you look north to Scotland so that must be the Berwickshire Coastal Path, just north of Berwick. I think that is the most northerly point of England.

    3 out of 3

Make that 4 out of 4, our best ever start to a league campaign.
  15. Boring and predictable. Dodds out!
  16. Great start to the league campaign. I was curious as to whether we have ever won our first 3 league matches before. We’ve managed it only once before, in 2013/14. That season, we drew our 4th match, which was against Celtic.
  17. According to a Raith official it was actually due to wifi failure, which must be a first! This led to the lighting in 2 of the stands going off which is a safety issue. A floodlight problem was resolved before kickoff and they stayed on for the full 13 minute duration of the match.
  18. Or oyster slime! How come we never noticed this before?!
  19. Anyone who wants to know what the question was will just have to listen to the pod.
  20. And I think the answer to the question is Miles Storey in 15/16.
  21. Enjoyed that, especially hearing Billy talk openly about his transfer moves.

    ICTWFC

St Johnstone don’t share their pitch, the women play on the Astro next to the stadium.

Exactly the same would be said about male youth teams. It’s just a case of prioritising use of an important asset to favour the team that generates the income that maintains the club, stadium and pitch.

No chance, pretty much doubling the number of matches on the pitch is not a good idea, it has consequences. I think only teams with astroturf let their women’s team share the pitch.
