  1. I believe Stratford, Eagle and Lionel have all been told to find new clubs. I don't rate all of them - although I think some show potential - but they've all played their part this season and to find yourself unemployed ain't nice. The farewells by Eagle and Stratford to certain fans/friends at Roy's testimonial would certainly lead me to believe that was them gone for good. I've heard - and hope to goodness it's true - that Roy and Dani are being offered new contracts, although Bulvitus' and Duff's situation seem to be a mystery all round. I for one am hoping they're both at least being offered another year to see how they develope.
  2. What a day. What a crowd, what a performance, what incredible scenes after the match. It'll be hard to beat today as a great away day.
  3. Any car parking nearby? Guessing it can't be far away if you're near town centre, probably silly question. Another 4 hungry people from Inverness willing to sample your hospitality!
  4. Thanks to everyone involved with ICT for making the last few weeks some of the best in the last few years for me. You've made a lot of people very happy!

Ouch, I see what you mean! May have to re-think plans...
  6. How have they alleviated the situation of a congested concourse - by getting the customers to start queuing outside! That was the situation in main stand "away" end servery pre-match. As for half time, I've certainly not seen queues like those yesterday for a long long time. I've only used them once, will never buy anything from them ever again. Another vote for Macdougall and Hastie from me!
  7. First it was Eric, then it was Nick Ross and now it is Stratford - all players who the rest of our team seem to have little faith in as they are hugely reluctant to pass to them , no omatter how often they make themselves available! Stratford seemed to back off/out of tackles or position time after time. Whereas Cox would throw himself in and commit, Danny would run back towards the goal, not even man-marking in process. His footballing pedigree seems sound (didn't realise he spent so long at Fulham until recently), yet no matter his effort, he seems forever ineffective. I find it hard to criticise, as I really don't doubt his lack of effort, but it just doesn't pay off. Like Kerr last season - except Stratford puts in 20x more work!
  8. Missed him hellishly. Can't wait for him to come back, and long may he remain in team. I really don't think any other player could be out of the team and missed as much as him (in current place and time), with the exception of Rooney. Huge contender for player of the season. Ok, maybe not the same impact as Rooney and Hays, but the mainstay of the team and the most noticeable player in pulling the team together over the crucial last couple of months.
  9. Jeezo. A lucky win at the end of the day, it has to be said! No offence to anyone on the pitch, but missed Duncan like hell - can't wait for his return. If we lost today, the lack of his guile would have been a major factor. Regardless of result, it was still ominously missing! Unbelievable final score, couldn't even make sense of winning goal at time but could be a monster step to end of season.
  10. Get in touch with your pals, agree to chip in a few quid each and contact club first thing tomorrow and take responsibility. Result - club respect you for owning up to it (otherwise they could well have pre-warned stewards to keep an extra special eye on your section from now onwards), you won't have it hanging over you on Saturday and the club won't be out of pocket for your actions - remember, this all comes from same budget as wage bills, kit, travel, running undersoil heating etc...
  11. Ourselves - but with the way things are going, I can all but rule that one out. I still think County are bigger threats than Dundee, if the season was a month longer then definitely Dunfermline. They'll still hav a MAJOR say in where the title lies though, I don't doubt for a minute they'll take points off the other teams in top half of league. We'llhugely miss Russell, however Proc/Cox/pref McBain can all shuffle around and cover him. Please please let us have full squad in place for last 2 games - although after tonight, I have to admit that I can accep Ross as CB, although would still prefer Bulvitis.
  12. Interesting that Adams is saying that red card was for 2 footed challenge. If so, they'll definitely win their appeal (imo and from what I saw of it - I thought he won the ball fairly initially, now to hear that it was deemed 2 footed tackle is even further off the mark) but however appeal goes, our 3 points are safe and sound and that's what counts! edit - "With regards to the sending off I thought he was going to produce a yellow card as I thought Richie lost control of the ball. When the referee gave us a foul, he had a decision to make. He had to decide if it was a clear goal-scoring opportunity - I'm not too sure it was a goal scoring opportunity so I can understand why County are feeling very aggrieved. " quote from Butcher on official site
  13. A wine, Shameless in background and joyous texts to and from fellow fans. Got any beer in, not really a whisky fan?
  14. Wow. Just wow. Unbelievable, was hoping for a scrappy 1-0 win but this was beyond any expectations. Possibly (hopefully) the day County lost the league. I'm not one for being cocky or even optimistic, but it could even be the day we won it. Have to say, I don't even think it was a freekick, never mind a red card. Looked like he took Foran and ball at same time. Foran then did the horrible gesture of waving a card at ref, never like to see that but hey, it's our Richie... County just were in no way the team they were 10 days ago, can't believe it was the same (mainly) bunch of players out on the park as it was that day. Top performances all round, Hays and Foran worked their a??es off chasing every ball and defending for their lives and credit (where it has been criticism from myself recently) for Cox, Golly and Tokely for coming good over the last month or so. No criticism anywhere tonight.
  15. Chewing gum was being "steam cleaned" off Inverness city centre streets last Friday, drew many confused looks from passers by!
  16. I can barely believe some of the idiots on the road. From the people coming off the A9 at Raigmore using right hand lane to turn left, to Inshes roundabout, to parking is disabled - check. Had a lovely incident heading north out of Glasgow the other day. Current speed limit is 40mph, with signs EVERYWHERE advising of average speed checks, and limits are generally very well adhered to. Out of nowhere (we had all been Staying In Lane religiously for a few miles), a car came behind me out of nowhere and literally almost rammed me at about 70mph. After a few hundred metres of being about an inch behind me, he swung to other (inside) lane just as we were approaching traffic lights, failed to stop in time behind the car stopped at the lights and basically undertook me, pulling in front of me as he swerved to avoid the stopped car. Right, he's learnt his lesson we thought. Oh no. Now, if anyone has driven that route recently, aroundf the Cumbernauld area, you'll know how narrow the lanes are. This tw@t decided he'd had enough of both lanes travelling at a steady 40mph and decided to attempt to squeeze in between the 2 lanes, despite them being choc-a-block with traffic. 4WD (aye, it wasn't anything small and thin he was trying to squeeze between) ended up slamming on breaks to avoid concrete barrier he was being forced towards, general chaos ensued in his wake and he sped off. Didn't get his reg, will leave it to karma... Rant over. Horrific news about the teenagers in Inverness. The extra information about the girl involved driving the car of her boyfriend who was killed in very similar circumstances such a short time ago was just astonishing and barely believable. Sympathies to all involved.
  17. There has been 2 announcers lately. One we know and there is the Rev IM Jolly who I dont think most of us do. Wonder who will be on tomorrow? I only hope if it is the Rev he knows who our players are. The Rev (I believe) is a season ticket holder, I've certainly seen him at many games over the last few years - albeit a fair few times in hospitality... Definitely needs to convey his support of the team over to the crowd though, would never have guessed his allegiances from last Tuesday!
  18. Current announcer has been well known to some at the stadium for quite some time...
  19. A great night, most comfortable performance and win of the season by far. Main comment is to echo previous observations how the f?ck did they beat Dundee so easily?? Have to say that I was gutted for Sanchez, was willing him to score and really wanted him to stay on the pitch till the end as SURELY it had to come good for home eventually! He's a class player, we wouldn't have scored as many as we had if he hadn't been on the pitch throughout the season. Look how we played tonight along the ground compared to against County - he has to be a factor. Foran came good after what I feel was a bit of a "dry" spell - not just goals - his absence was noticeable in last couple of games and he's key to team. MOM for me too, athough it has to be said it was tough to call. Airdrie's keeper was fighting off Duncan for next best - Duncan is really showing his worth, picked up every loose ball, from off the line saving clearances to late bursts into the box to shoot. A great night, and the one which has finally made me consider us as genuine title contenders.
  20. A certain County employee (after a few drinks and saying more than he should have apparently...) very recently told one of my colleagues that the ICT playing staff wage bill was THREE TIMES that of RC - and Dundee! So I'm a believer that the contracts didn't have relegation clauses. From what I have heard (I know I know, all hearsay) only one of the playing staff took a voluntary wage cut when we got relegated, hoping others would follow suit. Probably unsurprisingly, they didn't.
  21. Looked like Rooney had no chance, ball was running away from him, tight angle, keeper well positioned but he belted it and it went in at near post. 3 other shots went bout a foot wide in first half - rooney header, hayes shot (scuffed it??) and i think cox from edge of box. sanchez had very impressive game, very composed and found himslef space when surrounded by 3 or more opponents on several players - my comment was that haven't seen anyone ay club make space for himself since charlie, felt that for a while now. laid back but i reckon composed rather than lazy. rooney has come on in leaps and bounds this season, works very hard to win supposed lost causes and much happier taking players on now. good example near end of game when ball seem destined to go out for goal kick, rooney somehow got behind defender to keep it in, got off ground to make quick cross and then another quick tackle. MOM. Lionel really really needs to learn to learn quick decision making, you don't always have to stop the ball, sometimes the first time pass/shot is the best option! Good attacking play, just didn't always pick right final option. Definite pass marks for Duff, particularly second half. Much improved performance from Cox, more like what we saw and was impressed by in the first few games of the season, long may it continue. Negatives - no sign of McBain, even from bench.
  22. haha I actually know a B&S band member and he happens to be a huge football fan (no comment on his allegiances...) but hey, he's nouveau west end anyway...
  23. Official complaints have been lodged with the board, we'll just have to wait and see what happens (ie any public apology) but I wouldn't expect anything - at the very most it would be "i'm sorry for my language BUT..." ie not taking full responsibility, the blame would be put back on the fans. I initally thought that his outburst was a reaction to comments being made in his direction, to hear that it was because people were leaving makes it loads worse in my book. I don't think I'm less of a fan as I walked out shortly after the 3rd goal, it was only the second time (other occasion when c%unty put 5 past us at home) in almost 10 years of being a season ticket holder that I've left early and on both occasions there were minutes to go.
  24. McBain. Agreed! But out of the two options - Duncan by a country mile. He may make mistakes but he doesn't shirk from them, he'll do his best to rectify them. Ok, yes, that usually results in a booking 99% of the time, but he tries... I'm disgusted by a lot of the fans reactions to Duncan (see previous posting about women laughing about us losing match as he came on as sub) - ok he maybe shouldn't be on the pitch but it isn't his fault that he is, he tries his best when he is. Same as Eagle, Stratford etc - they're not good enough but it's the manager that's putting them in the embarrassing position of publicly doing a job they're incapable of doing.
  25. Believe what you want and by no means believe what what I say, but from what I'm told certain experienced players aren't happy about who they've to play alongside. I don't think it would be any surprise to hear Duncan and McBain were seriously unhappy at being kept out although obviously the situation with Duncan has changed, don't know how he feels now. I'm a fan of his effort and guts, I want him to stay personally and have been disgusted over the last season or 2 in particular at how the crowd turn against him. FFs, a month ago certain "fans" in the main stand - all females incidentally, if they want to identify and recognise themselves - were criticising and and laughing about Duncan and Rooney as they were coming on as subs and how that meant we'd definitely lose the game. Real fans, the lot of you - u t!ts. GTF.
