Do You Remember?...
I remember that. But it was when we were in the 2nd division, 1998/99 season i believe. Queens came out the tunnel first in our yellow away top so i cheered. then on came ICT in our normal home tops. i was all a bit confused lol

Derby Day feelings
You know Mantis i have been thinking about that game all week. In early 2000 we were going into that game with high hopes and in better form than county (a bit like just now) but they still won with the flukiest of penalties ever. I don't like getting over confident about derbies because absolutely anything can happen. In Feb 2003 I was giving it the big'un to all my county mates about how we would thrash them and on paper we should have. they were battling relegation with Alloa and we were still pushing Falkirk for the title at that point but they still won 5-1, something which i've never truly got over. I'm excited of course about tomorrow but but also slightly anxious and i wish people on here would stop being so cocky

your first Highland Derby
Just wondering when and where was your first derby, what was the score and do you have any amusing recollections of the day? My first derby was the first derby of the 96/97 season in Dingwall. In fact it was my first ever away game. I was 7 at the time and i believe the game finished 3-1 to ICT with Iain Stewart getting a brace. i was standing in the Jubilee terrace just to the left of the goal with good friends Allan Milligan and John Stewart which i'm sure many of the 'oldies' on here will know from the old Caley days. One amusing recollection is that the game stopped for 10-15mins after our 1st goal. County fans were throwing missiles and something struck Calder and he had to be treated. Also I remember the tannoy guy saying if there was any further incidents the game would be abandoned. I think this may be one of the reasons why i despise County so much!

Why would we want to play a rankers song? Or a Liverpool one ;)

Derby stats
Surely our biggest victory over them was the inverness cup final 1995. 5-2 I believe it was. And back then the inverness cup was taken more seriously and both teams fielded their 1st teams so you can't exactly say it was diddy game. It was Mikey teasdales debut for us aswell I think?

JD Sports Inverness - County merchandise
JJB owned the rights for Oldco merchandise from 2005 - August 2012. However just recently Charles Green striked a deal with Mike Ashleys Sports Direct to be the main retailer of Sevco as of now, which will see rangers kit suppliers be Puma as of next season. JD only opened in Inverness retail park last july

JD Sports Inverness - County merchandise
i'm unsure what the profit margin would be, I never asked. However my mate did say that JD were willing to sell errea ICT shirts in their shops with all proceeds going back to us in exchange for a JD advertising hoarding at the stadium. Seems a little short sighted when you think of the amount of people that shop in JD. Anyway i had a wee feel of the county top and it is by far better quality than what errea offers. I bought our new top 5 weeks ago because i love the design but after two washes it is literally covered in bobbles and it's not the first time that has happened with an errea shirt. I know of people who have not bought the new top because of bad experiences with previous errea shirts also. Maybe the JD profit margin would not be as good as errea but atleast having a better quality of shirt would possibly increase shirt sales? I heard county sold out the first batch of shirts very quickly

JD Sports Inverness - County merchandise
(sorry if this is in the wrong area, mods move it if you wish) Was in JD sports at the retail park the other day and awaiting me at the front door was county home/away shirts and some merchandise. I know the JD manager well, so i asked what the abomination was at the front door? He told me that JD own Diadora and it is part of the deal that the nearest JD sports shop gets too sell their shirts. Fair play i thought. However he proceeded to tell me...... JD asked ICT first if they wanted to ditch errea (because they knew the hasstle the fans and club had with shirts taking ages to get delivered etc.) and instead use one of their suppliers such as Diadora or Carbrini which are far better than errea. Also we would have our shirts and merchandise in the JD store. Our commercial manager said, no thanks. After agreeing terms with County, JD sports went back to ICT and said that they didnt want to be seen supporting one local side and not the other so they were prepared to store ICT shirts and merchandise and in exchange asked if JD could get advertising hoardings at TCS. At first our commercial manager said 'no thanks' but then decided that JD can have advertising at TCS if they pay 15K to ICT. JD flatly refused and has since emailed round all Scotiish retailers mocking ICTFC. JD is one of the fastest growing designer/sports retailers in Britain and has proved very popular since opening a shop in Inverness last July. They provide shirts for many English teams such as Blackpool and now wish to get on the Scottish market with St Mirren and County being their first teams. Sure our club have done well recently at giving out free tickets to schools and making a 16-25 ticket price. However i can't help but feel our commercial manager has let us down badly here and made a massive own goal!

crowd today.
Just been watching Sportscene and I'm sorry to say but the attendance problem seems to be a national thing. Celtic were given the long stand(opposite the main) and the 2 goal ends at StJs but only the long stand was full and there was only a total attendance of 6000. there was once a time when the OF would completely fill out their allocation whether they were on telly or not. Also Motherwell are riding high and are top of the league just now, there must have only been about 200 well fans at Dens yesterday. Very poor!! also Dundee have luckily ended up in the SPL but their end was fairly sparse. What's the main reason for the slump? Football costs to much now. I think all the SPL clubs are going to need to come together and talk about this soon. However I am delighted that ICT have increased a concession ticket to 25 years, which has been beneficial to me. Maybe ICT can be a pioneer for other clubs....

Motherwell preview & matchday thread
Ok, calm down dears We have two weeks to regroup and sort this mess out. If we find ourselves getting thumped up till county game then I'll push the panic button. If there's any repeat of march 2003 in the derby then ill make sure butcher eats the panic button! But I can't see it happening, butcher will spend these next two weeks gruelling them and they'll be ready for dons, BELIEVE!!!! Also, say Butcher left tomorrow. Who would have the right Pedigree to take over this squad? (If anyone says john robertson they'll get a virtual slap in the balls) Terrys here to stay and I Believe he'll get it sorted!!! We are Caley, Super Caley :D
